Remember when Raleigh was a cool college town? Pepperidge Farms remembers. Lived in the city 31yrs, moved out of Wake county completely. I could post some complaints but if ya'll like it, good on ya. My only regret is that I didn't move out sooner. Should've left when they started build high rise apartments on every corner.
Thanks for sharing the video! If you make it back to do an update, hit West St. from Peace Street to Union Station through Smoky Hollow and the heart of the Warehouse District!
Raleigh is cool. But they gentrified a lot of apartments in north Raleigh and installed high EMF powerlines and crown towers everywhere ... installing powerlines in ppls yard ... cutting down hundreds of acres of lands all over nc... governor is a worthless clown
Businees center for North Carolina is Charlotte. Raleigh stayed relatively small as a capitol because the Research Triangle Park which has the majority of industrial and tech business was implemented to serve Raleigh Durham and Chapel Hill thereby spreading the potential growth over a larger area.
@@MileageMikeTravels Small but bigger that Tampa, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Cleveland lol, Raleigh is just not very Urban we are not a small city lol I think folks are fooled by the lack of a Tall Skyline, also alot folks wouldn't believe Raleigh has the best nightlife district in North Carolina Glenwood South but we do nothing in Charlotte USA can touch it , the Epicentre they have there is empty and going through Bankruptcy not being rude but stating facts
Probably won't be back in Charleston for quite a while but check on the one from Summerville to Charleston if you haven't already: ua-cam.com/video/mXj9G1oP5Ew/v-deo.html
I love Raleigh..I'm from Atlanta. But I be coming to NC tho,, Charlotte cool, but it kind of reminds me of here a lil bit .. Raleigh laid back far as it to big of a city as it is .. population bout 500,000 not bad .
@@bvedant I'm in Raleigh now, it's been a month xD quite a nice place but really it seems there's not much to do here. I go to downtown and I don't see much of anything and by that I mean people, shops...life! maybe because I moved from Berlin and my expectations are a bit high. or maybe because I'm still exploring and haven't found the right places yet. I hear Charolette has much more to do and a bigger city, will definitely give it a visit and get the feel of it.
@@ed1658 It’s almost a year now for me and my family in Raleigh, as matter of fact in the US as a whole, and I couldn’t be any happier. Nature plentiful, seasons reasonable, Tech scene, less traffic, clean, rarely and I mean rarely I see a homeless person, safe. My wife learned to drive now. I have peace of mind and that’s everything to me! And my gosh NC is beautiful, enough green that’ll calm any troubled soul. And the people, I have no words to describe… The best decision I’ve made in my life. My view completely changed when I travelled a bit, visited Virginia, DC, Pittsburgh, Ohio, Chicago.
Raleigh born and raised not the most entertaining city but it’s definitely chill can find something to sometimes and it’s clean the best part fr not one of these dirty ass big city’s
Just coming around that curve on McDowell street is always amazing. It goes from trees to a growing city
Where is the city?
@malvolio01 lord you must be from NYC
Great video. I've been here over 20 years and the changes are unreal...

I love Raleigh. It’s so beautiful. Please film more NC videos! Also can you do Holden beach drive?
I'll keep it in mind for whenever I head back to that side of the state.

❤NC❤ ❤🇺🇸❤
Cool video mike! I was born around 30 miles west of here.
It’s probably like that because of the time of the day and it’s most likely super hot in the day time
Why downtown so small
Raleigh was traditionally a pretty small city relatively speaking so lots of the population there now is recent growth.
Businees center for North Carolina is Charlotte. Raleigh stayed relatively small as a capitol because the Research Triangle Park which has the majority of industrial and tech business was implemented to serve Raleigh Durham and Chapel Hill thereby spreading the potential growth over a larger area.

Every city can't be New York City or Chicago with alot of tall buildings/skyscrapers now. Accept a city for what it has to offer smh.
I stay in Raleigh

Poblaciones cerca de Raleigh
I stayed for just 9 months.
One time a got lost in the hood area
coca cola , warm weather , people who dont want to be screamed at when the downtown sports arena is closing/moving ..
For a family with young children, would you rather live in Fort Worth TX, or Raleigh? anyone
Raleigh for sure.

Down town Raleigh is very dismal, no body walking in streets. So bad
Depends on the time and area. Plenty of people walking in pertinent areas at certain times.
Leave my city alone
Lmfao i live in downtown and people be partying in the evening and every you dont know what u talkin bout lmao.
I live in Raleigh
