- ▶︎▶︎ Aston Martin have been making moves left and right in the past couple of months, and even though nothing is currently seen with their performance, it seems like they are invested in the long-term picture, or more precisely from 2025 onwards. With Newey very likely to sign the contract that would put him in the opposite direction of what he previously hinted - which was a more sit-back role in the team - could we see Aston Martin fight for championships from 2026 onwards and more importantly - will Verstappen continue the trend of personnel leaving Red Bull and join forces with his ‘old friends,’ Newey and Honda?

Max is going to Mercedes in 2025. There is no reason why Max should go to Astin Martin in 2026.

I'm a Max Verstappen fan, not a Red Bull fan, so I would have zero qualms with him leaving and going to Mercedes. Max has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he is the fastest, most talented driver in Formula 1 today, so he deserves a championship caliber car. He put in his years of learning and improving in a subpar, so he's not going to ever settle for that again. If I were him, and I had any beliefs, or feelings that Red Bull is dropping off, and any of the other teams are about to take over, then I would be getting the heck out of Dodge immediately. I think with the combination of Max's talent and pace and age, he is capable of owning every Formula One record in existence when his career is done. He has the talent and pace and enough prime years left to own the records for championships, wins, and poles. If anybody can break Schumacher's record and get that eight championship, then I believe it's Max Verstappen.
Lol you are so lame by purposely not mentioning Hamilton when it comes to championships and Hamilton has the most wins which is even better. Particularly when your boy had an illegal car and Michael Masi to help him to his first championship.
@@jabthejedi Because Hamilton isn't on the level Verstappen is. The two races Lewis won this season were because of there people problems, not his skill alone.
Hard to tell just yet what Max is up too, my money would be on Mercedes. Just going by performance etc

Max will not be driving at Aston Martin. As some have already re-iterated, Lawrence Stroll bought Aston Martin for his boy to win F1 championship. To even entertain the idea that Max would join Aston Martin is "fanciful" as Eddie Jordan would put it. Asking Max to play second fiddle will not happen and Jos V. would probably be calling for Lawrence Stroll to leave F1 or something entirely ridiculous as he did at Red Bull.

What I think is going to happen Alonso will retire in 2 years with Verstappen taking his place. By 2026 Alsono will be 45 years if I am not mistaken. Which is an age from there onwards going to take its toll on any person
RBR seems rotten , but is Max the reason for it? Alonso showed in the first race of the 2023 the AM was on fire.

I really can't see Max going to Merc. I think Toto is just fanning the flames and trying to play mind games with Red Bull. I don't think he has any genuine interest in signing Max at all. Also haven't there been news that Toto is putting Kimi Antonelli as Lewis's replacement or was that just rumors still?
