My Dad grew up to Honkey-tonk tunes, so I heard a lot of that, but it never meant anything to me.
Then, as a pre-teen, I bought a small transistor radio back in the 70s and listened to rock classics like this under the stars of a clear night sky, far from cities.
This was the music that captured my imagination and made me want to explore that big awaiting world out there.
I'm happy to see that this timeless music still appeals to younger generations, who like me, find it amazing and inspiring.

+Daniel Glover You Have Got to Be kidding There were less Rock hits in the 80's than any decade other than the '90's and since. It all has to do with limited 4 cord progressions. There are only so many ways to place them and when they are all used there are no More "logical" progressions left therefore NOTHING new.
