I had taken delivery of one of the first facelift City e:HEVs in India. Fantastic car that gives almost the same performance as 1.5 TSI or TGDI combined with triple the efficiency. This car is seriously underrated and anyone considering Virtus GT or Verna Turbo need to consider this. Yes, it’s much more expensive than normal city but if you compare with top end Virtus or Slavia, it’s only a lakh more and completely worth it imo.
what about drivability,, u can't compare with slavic or virtue their selling point is driving ergonomics and its bit weight steady car then city which is bit light weight
Amazing Content. Honda's marketing team should have done this but they are sleeping whereas you narrated the underrated points with eHEev here. Good content. Hope the awareness is spread and the only hybrid sedan in 25lakhs bracket does some good numbers and brings smile :)
I believe this is the best content which gave beautiful insight about E-HV. Honda’s major drawback is their marketing strategy which never relates to their customers very-well. Beautiful car with a well built technology and this video gave well detailed insight on this. 👏👏👏
Semma content bro, I have used these hybrids in Australia and I have to say it’s quite responsive. Thanks to Honda in bringing the same 1.5 hybrid global spec to India. Do take this for a spin to hill regions and say us how the power management is because I loved how the system behaved and in future if Toyota plans to bring hybrids in every segment of cars, then India will definitely be a huge market which shifts to hybrids that are more practical and calm. For instance, here in Australia we do have the same price difference of 4-7lakhs high for the hybrid model comparing with just IC’s and they hold a greater value in second hand sales and value for money. Toyota has implemented hybrid in every models that selling in Australia and people love hybrids and their usability. For instance, don’t mind me wrong, just think about the market of cabs and Uber cars which makes more sense and cost efficient when compared to electrics. Man, electrics will be a chaos for Indian market, if not people should seen them as a secondary car than relying mainly on it as their primary vehicle. Even industries are backing up their ev goals and boosting their IC productions. This is completely my personal opinion and hope you guys do great content videos 🤘
I have been driving the Gen 4 Honda city diesel for more than 10 years now. It has done close to 2.5 lakh kms and still drives well. If driven at around 80-100kmph speed on the highway, it returns an impressive 26kmpl. I am not finding any other car in the market with this comfort, mileage etc. The only concern is the slightly low ground clearance which gets hit in bad roads. I love driving hence I do around 2000kms per month. Can I go for this car?

if you drive only 15-20k kms every year then better buy a Naturally aspirated Zx variant and save 5 Lakhs outright. With that 5L, you can buy petrol and maintenance for next 3-4 years. Disc brake is an advantage but city with rear drum itself very confident. Only advantage is brake hold in stop and go city traffic. Is brake hold worth that 5Lakhs?. With extra 5L what you get in hybrid is 1. Less boot space 2. Uncomfortable battery vents at rear seat 3. Not worthy Lithium battery Who can buy this, only for ppl driving 80-100 kms everyday in city traffic

At 2.53, I see the hybrid battery ventilation in the rear seat is getting blocked with the plastic cover. It is very important to keep the battery ventilation open in hybrid cars.
Much need content at correct time. Few days before i was about to book Honda Elevate but after hearing the roomers about Tax reduction for Hybrid. i am confused. I am bitig off my teeth and waiting for it to happen ASAP.
Motowagon team, this hybrid city also has honda sensing which is ADAS driver assistant features which normal city doesn't have. I'm surprised you missed this. I think addition of this feature makes the price justifiable. Also e-cvt gearbox in hybrid is so smooth and there's no rubber band effect like normal Cvt of city.
@@bharadwajb1888 even 2 to 2.5 lakhs is not a small money. Somehow i feel ev, hyrid are not worth it. EV needs lithium iron/ferrophosphate battery, which is not green either. Unless battery price, alternate greener raw material for battery I dont think ev/hybrid would have future.

Price difference of this Hybrid city vs Petrol city is Huge . 5Lakh + we can use this money for fueling next 5 years for buying normal city . One more set back Honda needs to look at is the attitude of representatives handling customers while selling car . They this is HONDA and you just buy . Anna, since it has a battery pack, I’m just concerned if it will be suitable for our climatic conditions. Especially in certain cases when taking it for a long drive, are there any chances for it to catch fire because of over heating ?
Firstly manufacturers should bring hybrids in all variants. Why is it available only in top-end models? Secondly, what will be the cost of the battery after its service period?
Coz it's new to our market.so market for this car is doubtful honda has already launched civic hybrid in 2007 or 2008 but people ignored it coz of cost.
SIr. Please read my comment.I dont go with your words on hybrid being greener. Since indirectly pollutes too. I personally feel EV/hybrid are not green either. Check out the production of ev batteries. The production of lithium iron/ferrorphospate pollutes even more. Also these batteries need replacement after max 10 years for sure. in case of EV the charging would be done from grid, which in turn is (60 percentage) is produced using lignite/coal which is major pollutant than the gasoline pollution itself. At least for hybrid there is no charging required. But i feel unless any alternate green ,cheaper source of battery is introduced. EV/hybrid wont be a solution in long run. Also do not forget the huge replacement cost of batteries in Lakhs
Unlike EV cars, Toyota Hybrids don't use lithium batteries. They use Ni-MH batteries which is far better than lithium ion batteries. Moreover 6-10year life is guaranteed. For now, hydrogen is the only green fuel which could replace fossil fuels. Even Aviation industries are researching ways to develop H² fuel for aeroplanes. Hopefully, in another 20years we expect a positive change.
Batteries can be recycled 100%. Many new companies focused only on recycling is coming up. Within the next 10 years we'll see a huge global improvement in the recycling framework. The Indian grid is rapidly adding renewable source of power. Hybrids make more sense for Indian roads. Hydrogen fuel cells have a cost burden as of now. If that changes, we'll see huge shift towards H2
@@GCS-001 battery recycle is already there for years. But still see the replacement cost and pollution for creating the battery. The Indian grid is not rapidly adding renewable. 60 percentage is still based on coal. It will take min 15 to 20 years to improve 50+ percentage to renewable. Go and check the stats. Hybrid would look like savings initially. But it is neither cost effective nor green becasue the initial cost involved is huge + battery replacement cost. Also resale will take a huge hit since the battery will degrade and replacement cost is huge. Also I am not with hydrogen fuel cells either since we need battery again. It make no difference. Hydrogen combustion engine is the future.
