Thank you! I "followed"your painting and showed my husband - he said, "That one knocks it out of the park. I would hang that in my office." :) Obviously, mine does not look as nice or finished as yours, nor is the composition balanced, but the inspiration was wonderful. I don't know how to show you what mine looks like, but it was a wonderful way for me to pass through the toughest part of my migraine today ❤

David, I try, so hard, in the wee hours when everyone is asleep, dare to try again, your lovely paintings. It's calming to watch you paint, the music is kind, and I can really get into the "zone" when watching you. Like others, I'd love a directed painting from you, trying to utilize some of your fantastic techniques. Sadly, my very late night "David" paintings, look more angry than calm! The blue that he started with looks like Winsor Blue or Prussian Blue. The only other color I saw him use was Burnt Sienna in the tree, and he mixed it with blue to get the darker value for the tree trunks. It’s helpful to make color charts of your paints, so you get to know the values and temperature of your colors and how they react with other colors. If you do a Google search for “color charts - watercolor”, you should find some good examples.

I use these same colors brand. I didnt expect a pro would use this brand. They are good and very cheap, that I thought they would be low quality. and it seems artists dont use them
