I just found your Channel my family been in the dump truck businesses since 1965 I was about five or six of your videos everything you saying is the truth we are located in St Louis Missouri keep the good videos coming brother be cool and stay blessed
Great content, my brother! im a former dumptruck driver, who always had a vision of doing exactly what your doing, big congrats to you, one day God willing, i can make that vision become a reality, in spite of being 54years old, keep sharing this great content 👍
This is just what I've been looking for. I've begun the process. I have my LLC, EIN, bank account and have the available cash that you spoke of. Now I'm just waiting for the CDL class to be offered in my area. I'm trying to get established by the time the government pass the infrastructure bill. I'll be hitting you up with questions as I move forward if that's ok.
A guy told me one time “it’s bad luck to have an even number of trucks” So I started paying attention to this. When he hit 10 bad luck, 12 bad luck, 14 bad luck. Engines blowing up, trucks turning over etc etc etc
Dont know about the bad luck part but I have always been told keep an odd number. So this is what I tried to do. It seems if you got 3 then 2 trucks can still carry the load but if you have 2 its hard for one truck to carry another
Hey man im glad I found your channel .Im in Washington DC i just got my llc and the DC area is booming ihope to be in your shoes in a few years. My question is how find trustworthy drivers? How do i pay them ?Im tyna grind to shine!
I know of owner operators who only works from April to October because of winter snow. Is that sustainable for an owner operator? Is there a season in the year where your trucks don’t move? Do you know or have experience in a four season area??
No this is not my context but i have been told tis is the case in some areas. Here we roll all the way to CHRISTMAS then after the new year if the weather is not wet and cold we will still do 3-4 days a week
Where do you get your work at? I am currently deployed but plan on starting a dump trucking business while I'm over here. Do you have a video for that? I'd like to put a detailed business plan together before spending the money on the truck!
Great Video!!!! Was your 3 year commitment put down on paper? I would assume it would be because it't not personal, it's business but I am asking anyway. Thanks in advance!
No it wasnt but because of the connection I was comfortable with his word. If you dont have a word what you got. But trust I know we living in a different time now
What are ways to know or whats research one can do to determine if their area is a good market or have an abundance of dump truck work?? ( might be a good video idea)
I touch on it a little bit on "getting started part 2" but here are a few suggestions. Go on your state dept of transportation website and look for the bid letting section and see what jobs are going on, and coming up in your area. talk to your local chamber of commerce to see what construction is going on and coming up and contact your city or the nearest city to you see what city road jobs are coming up
Hey Country CEO, thanks for the video and information, very helpful…I have a question also, how much do you usually make off having someone drive one of your trucks for you, Like after you pay them?? Can someone be a owner off a truck but have someone else’s driving and still make descent money??

Yes for sure you can. drivers will make about 20-25%
So you have a day cab as well to pull tankers, end dumps?
Not anymore

Hey Larenzo check out the videos on the channel they will point you in the right direction
How hard was it to keep drivers in those trucks?
It wasnt hard at all. I carefully chose hard working guys using a certain criteria I developed. Check out my video about Selecting drivers
Do you use load brokers?
no
did you have any experience driving trucks before you bought your own truck?
Yes I drove a redi mix cement truck for 3 years
You have a yard or garage to store your trucks?
At my home I have 3 acres
Do you still subcontract in your area
I haven't in 2 years. Thinking about doing it again though.
Did you go beyond 4 trucks?
not with dump trucks!
