I love JBWell, used it to fix my little leaking cracked radiator on my 03 Xterra. It is part of my tool now and Liquid Steel used to fix a little hole on my muffler. These 2 items are a must have.
Consider relocating the air temp sensor on the Volant CAI box. It gets heat soaked because it's right next to the radiator, so it's not sending the actual air temp in the box. I moved mine to the other side of the box where it remains cool, even close to ambient temp on the highway as my snorkel acts like an ram air.
Love the videos. Also love the platform so refreshing to see something other than a taco....been saying it for years nissan is easily overlooked yet highly capable vehicles !
Great video! Love my O2X! Please let me know when you are thinking about your midwest loop. We are in MN and do some wheelin in WI and MI-UP. Thanks so much for given X’s the love they deserve. I had one new in 99 and when I was looking for a project Iast year knew I wanted a first gen X. Stay safe and thanks for all the Nissan content.
Thank you! Keep an eye on our Instagram/Facebook accounts (@RogueOverland) as we will post about it there. The planning is in early stages so it will be at least 10 months out.
Is there a list of parts used on Nick’s Xterra. A tried and true setup with parts that work and not guessed. To setup my rig correctly I’m looking to do a SAS on my 01 Xterra also with a roof top tent and do an overland build. The way Nick built up his is how I want mine to handle and feel. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Great build
@@RogueOverland man so sad here.. I have been subscribed for a while and I have been looking for the perfect Xterra Pro-4x for me and I found a 2015 Pro-4X with only 57,000 miles, pristine and looked like it was never taken off road. Man I drove it and called my Credit union. They got me set up and I was ready to buy it to find out they sold it 😭. My plan was to build it up to hit trails here in AZ and then pass it to my 12 yr old son when he is old enough but somebody pulled the trigger before I did. I hope they enjoy it. But hey I will keep looking. Thx for reading our stuff.
It would be great if I could get stuff for my 1st gen frontier from you guys. No one makes a swing out tire carrier for it. I hear I can’t even use an xterra one. But you guys are cool man, when everyone else is running Tacomas and I feel alone with my Nissan I can find solace in your UA-cam or IG lol
It’s the hybrid from Cascadia Vehicle Tents. It has been great! Call their Las Vegas store and tell the Rogue Overland sent you, they will take good care of you.
Exceptionl build. Which shop did you all go to for the decking/honing of the block and port/polish of the cylinder head? I have a 3.4L S/C’d swapped engine into my 1st Gen 4runner and would like to have this done to my engine. Also have you considered a Clamshell tent? I run an AluCab on mine. Noticed a huge difference with sway at HW speeds when I switched from my Tepui.
Soul Surfer i bought a re-build from Promar engines last year. They were great to work with and when my mechanic had an issue, their support and warranty service has been great. Love having a new heart in Rexy. Adds a lot more confidence on the long trips.
Keep an eye on our social media (@RogueOverland). It will be open to people to attend. It is in the early planning stage, so it likely wont happen for 10+ months.
We did. It is 100% sealed and functional. It’s about 1/3 of the way through the video when we talk about the engine modifications. Thanks for watching!
@@RogueOverland obviously I missed that part! Thanks for clarifying! Good looking truck! Maybe we’ll see you on the trails sometime! We run a 2005 Xterra.
9:04, OMG!!!! Hey guys I bought a 2006 and I've been told people following me say I'm going UNDER the speed limit. What again would this mean? I would love a response.
Thanks for the comment. The video hasn't been out long enough for you to have watched it all, there are b-roll cuts throughout the video showing the Xterra. Watch it all and let us know what you think.
@@RogueOverland I'm with Helio, too much talk not enough truck. You did do some cuts to the truck for each topic but we really want to see the truck. More voice over work and less ant brushing please.
Same here. Watched the whole thing hoping to see more of the vehicle footage, especially under it and in action. Too much talk standing around. You can have this whole conversation with footage showing the X from all angles and crawling over stuff.
You look very uncomfortable with the fidgeting, weight balance shifting and scratching- you seem like you are not listening to the guy talking ....You really should have simply stopped your filming, went to get a pair of pants and start over.(we wouldn't have noticed). and way too much social distance talk.. voice over and show the truck much more.
Lmao bro you got me dying at that, "Don't mind the gun shots, we're in a state that's FREE". Love it. Good chat

Agreed! Thanks for sharing your experience.
I’ve got an 02 wd21 as well. Red with the AC lift. falcon AT3Ws. I’ve done over 10k km of overlanding in the last 3 years. Has never let me down.
Sounds like an awesome rig! Thanks for the comment!

Hi, can you tell me what roof to tent is that? And are you having any issues with it?

Is the calmini SAS a good set up to run on an 04 automatic xterra I have the 3”. Calmini lift
We run a modified version of it on our 01 AT X, it works great!

Is that front axle available for a Titan? I noticed we share a lot of part numbers...
The Titan shares parts with the second generation xterra, not the first gen. This is a custom build with a keep axle.
Something I thought you were going to talk about was the snorkel! Is it functional?

Rough estimate spent on this beast? Minus what’s inside the back. Thanks!
A SAS is about $8-9K for coil overs. I has a lot to so with how much work you do yourself. Thanks for watching.
Are you still using the stock clutch master cylinder, or did you use an alternative?
Stock. Thanks for watching!
