You did an absolutely gorgeous job filming all of this. My first time in India, I spent six weeks with four of those weeks on a Buddhist pilgrimage. I love India, and you provided a gorgeous documentary of your stay. 🙏
Rich and Helen, I'm an Indian American, live in the USA for last fifty years. I haven't seen India the way you're showing me. Growing up near Kolkata, we visited Oberoy Grand Hotel in Kolkata but we could never afford to stay there. Thank you, thank you. You described India beautifully. The yellow flowers garland s you're greeted with are just local merry golds. But I have to commend you on your choice of music in the background. Beautiful, and just perfect!!! All the best.
Well Kolkata is still the same so you have not lost anything same city trapped in its past reminiscent of its lost fortune shrouded in pain and misery. I am sure you will love to visit again.
Dear Rich & Helen, I always knew that the Oberoi chain of hotels was GOOD, but your work made them seem EXCEPTIONAL. The other Indian chains TAJ & LEELA are also phenomenal. Your photography & narration was professional & great. Loved it.
I was just saying, “Where are all the peaco…oh! There they are!” This is already my favorite series. India just always feels joyful to me, even when life there is harsh. Thank you for giving it the Visit With Us treatment!
Haha! The peacock were such a joy to observe. Yes, life is harsh and you'll see much more of that in part 2 when we go into rural India up the Ganges river basin. :)
Hi Rich and Helen.. I am Indian living in London and just stumbled across your video. WOW..I loved it..what an AMAZING video and the way you have captured and more importantly portrayed your journey in India is truly epic and mesmerising. Im not being biased but India has everything..it really is the most beautiful country in the world. I have just come back from the Great North India travels which included, Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Shimla, Varanasi, Amritsar and the Golden Temple - a must visit. THANK YOU for capturing India so beautifully and elegantly and showing it to the world,as UK residing citizens❤❤❤
Thank you for watching and for your kind words. India is such a colourful, rich and vibrant country and it was wonderful to see two very different sides of life there. We hope it’s not our last visit there, there’s so much more to see. We’re delighted that you think we did your country justice 🧡

Thank you for watching and your kind words. We don't know if anyone did the pre or post tours, but we nearly signed up for the Varanasi extension. It would've been a fascinating add on, but it involved a lot of extra travel and we just didn't have the time. :)
@@visitwithus Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated. Just based on your helpful review, my family booked the exact suite cabin on the Coral Princess for our Alaska trip next year. on Keep up the GREAT travel videos!
Hotels look beautiful. Interesting to see the areas. Do they do food other than curry and red meat in the evenings in the hotels please? What time of year did you go?
Yes they do. All of the hotels we stayed in offered a ‘western’ style option but we love curry 😂🥵❤️ Many regions of India are largely vegetarian so the food is often based around vegetables which are abundant and delicious (watch part two when it come out for that 😁). We were there in January which was surprisingly cold. I would probably try to go a bit later in the year tbf (though not too close to summer when it would be oppressively hot) or maybe in early autumn 👍
That’s such a difficult question to answer as pricing depends on when you travel, where you are booking from etc etc. At the moment a similar trip in Jan next year (the same time of year we travelled) booked directly through there website is upward of £6000pp including flights from London and all other costs from beginning to end. We would however recommend contacting a travel agent as they might be able to get a better price or added incentives. We work closely with Panache cruises and can send you an email contact if you are interested in making an enquiry (they can book both here in the UK and the US/Canada). Please feel free to email us on: richandhelen@visitwithus.co.uk if you want more info. Thanks for watching and commenting 😊
We took a piece of check in luggage each which was included for the international and internal flights. Luggage was collected from outside our hotel room each morning and delivered to our rooms when we arrived at the next hotel. You just need to carry your hand luggage with you. If you have any more questions please ask. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for your prompt response. We understand from our agent that the internal flight has a luggage restriction of 15kg. How did you deal with this. Thank you
You can pay for extra weight when you get to the airport. I can’t remember the exact amount but it really wasn’t that much - you just pay a few dollars (from memory, so sorry I can’t remember the exact amount) for every extra kilo at check in.
Now imagine the plight of an Indian who has to beg for visa just to visit the dull hotels with rude (avoiding the truer r-word) staff and bland foods in the so-called "developed" world.
Not sure what we could do about this but obviously we appreciate that we are very fortunate to be able to travel as widely and relatively easily as we do. Thanks for watching.
@@anildhawan1567 Please watch part 2. There’s only really the Ganges or Kerala in India for river cruises. Totally different. This part was the land section of a river cruise. Part two features the Ganges.
Whilst it is a tourist hotspot it is still a fantastic insight for many visitors who have never been to India before. However, after this we spent a week on the Ganges river which you can watch here ⬇️ ua-cam.com/video/S0w1EUxs3_4/v-deo.htmlsi=tKcXoLHA0k-jP1VM
The video looks great...but I'm no longer watching channels with sponsored content. I feel it biases the reviewer. Gary Benbridge has great things to say about this. I also believe you ought to add #AD to this sort of content. I have enjoyed your channel in the past but, like the channel Emma Cruises, this channel seems to be becoming more "fluff" and less "info."
@@christophercollins1371 I’m sorry you feel that way. Gary has the benefit of millions of views per month meaning he gets paid a lot more than we do. Believe me, when he was our size, he did hosted trips too to make the channel pay. Our content is geared towards people who want to find out about a certain voyage or experience. It’s a ‘show and tell’ and the vast majority of our viewers appreciate and value that. Without hosted trips, we simply wouldn’t be able to afford to bring the content we do. Everyone loses in that respect. We appreciate the feedback and hope you appreciate the enormous effort we put into every single video. Everything we show is authentic and genuine. We can’t do more than that. We also fully disclose what we’ve paid for and what the cruise line has provided in every description. We dislike the word ‘ad’ because it’s so open to misinterpretation.
I appreciate your wonderful videos and living vicariously through the both of you. Especially Uniworld river cruises, I'm a fan and enjoy learning more about the ships and excursions.

We would however recommend contacting a travel agent as they might be able to get a better price or added incentives. We work closely with Panache cruises and can send you an email contact if you are interested in making an enquiry (they can book both here in the UK and the US/Canada).

Orange garland flowers are marigold ( genda in Hindi)
Thank you ☺️
Can you please advise as to what your luggage arrangement were during the trip.
I did this on my first trip to India with TAUCK tours
Thanks for watching 👍
When did you do this trip? Approximate time of year is fine. Thanks!
We travelled in January this year. We were surprised by how cool it was when we were there.

I discovered South mimms for the first time in April when I went on my 1st Limitless travel Holiday.😂
Haha! Hope it wasn’t too stressful for you. 😆
@@visitwithus It was great. I was going on an adventure.

Marigolds.
Took me a while to figure out the context but got there in the end. 😂
This River Cruise in the write up is bloody misleading... looking for an Indian River Cruise
@@anildhawan1567 Please watch part 2. There’s only really the Ganges or Kerala in India for river cruises. Totally different. This part was the land section of a river cruise. Part two features the Ganges.

Yes. Luxury prices for a luxury experience. Should you expect anything different? 🙂

Golden triangle the worst place to visit in India
Whilst it is a tourist hotspot it is still a fantastic insight for many visitors who have never been to India before.
However, after this we spent a week on the Ganges river which you can watch here ⬇️

Actually they r middle class on European standards and upper class from indian standards.
@@izengolf1 Thank you. 😊 YOU are exactly why we put out the videos we do. To share the experience and give people ideas and inspiration. ❤️
Somebody is going to do it so better to enjoy such a quality video compared to so many with bad lighting, camera work or lack of important details. Aren't we all a bit envious it isn't us doing it?!
@@izengolf1 Haha! We spend an ENORMOUS amount of time on the camera work, sound, music, narrative and little details. More than almost every other content creator I’d wager. Thank you for appreciating this. It really does make us feel like it’s worth the while. ❤️

Not an advert. What do you want us to do? Slate a brilliant experience? We’re not into click bait I’m afraid. You need to go elsewhere for that.
