    Thanks for taking us through your YT journey thus far!
    I came for the You content and I'll enjoy your content whenever you release it, even if it's later than other channels.
    One thought about why the copyright claim came in a year later is it probably was automated, they likely tweaked their algorithms recently.
    Looking forward to more of your analysis. Thanks for the content :)

      I guess it could have been automated, not really sure. I did dispute it though so I'm hoping they remove the claim just because I don't like the idea of a copyright claim hanging out there. I try to be careful about how I use clips, but it's something I'll have to consider even more when I make videos about season 5.

    I recently discovered your channel and I watched all of your videos on the show YOU in less than a week 😂
    would you be covering more of season 5? I really like the show and the way you explain it

    Don’t give up I believe in you you’ll get to where the other UA-camrs are don’t worry you’ll get there😊

    Super relatable video.
    I haven't done UA-cam "full-time" since I was in high school, after a while I realized focusing on the quantity of videos I was putting out wasn't getting me very far, so I started making videos whenever I had a really great idea that also had a high possibility of doing really well, and then I eventually went viral while making videos more periodically.
    You's fanbase seems invisible to me at times, for some reason it doesn't seem mainstream. It doesn't get as much coverage as the other big Netflix shows, both from the big news outlets AND creators/reporters. So the You subreddit was the only place I felt like I had to actually talk about the show at length with others, then I eventually realized I could use my channel to talk about the show to my audience. They don't do as well for the same reasons your other videos don't do as well; my audience (the ones who stick around), aren't tuned in for that, so I'm still building that audience.
    But while I am very proud of my takes and even my thumbnail work on my You videos, it is a bit of a turnoff to not seem them do as good as I feel like they should, but they're there, will always be there for anyone who stumbles upon them later, and can still either gain a decent amount of views overtime or experience a sudden spike like some of my other most viewed videos. However, I don't let myself forget that I enjoyed writing them, making them, and that when the time comes I'll do it all again!
    I've also experienced WB being a little picky with the copyrights, like, they're almost unpredictable. The "cheat" is to use shorter clips, the longer the clip is the more likely that portion of the video is to get flagged. I try to use as many different cuts during scenes as possible so that it's not going on for like 45 seconds to a minute straight.
    I look forward to watching your future You videos and pretty much anything else that interests me like this one did!

      Yeah something I always come back to is the fact that I enjoyed making a video, so not performing well can't take away from that. And like you say, there is always potential for people to come across a video later or for it to get a spike in views when the topic pops back up.
      The thing with the copyright claim is that I don't usually use any visual clips over 5 seconds long. Especially on the Kate Galvin video or the Cruel Summer ones since those are voiceover videos, the on-screen visuals are made up of many little 2-4 second clips that are slowed down and zoomed in. I think that's why it was so upsetting for it to be claimed, because I did a lot of work to avoid using too much of the show and to keep the clips really short while still providing some relevant visual to supplement the voiceover commentary.
      I guess it's just something for me to keep in mind when covering the next season, gotta stick to on camera videos even though they can be way harder for me.

      @@cinekizzle Jeez, you do all of that and they still copyrighted you? That's far more than I do. Like I said, WB has gotten more picky.

    • @cinekizzle
      @cinekizzle  7 місяців тому +1

      Yeah that's why it was disappointing :/ it was just the one video so far, and they only claimed the revenue so at least I'm glad it's not blocked for viewing and they didn't strike my channel.

      @@cinekizzle Update: Anddd as of approximately 20 minutes ago, WB has copyrighted by beautiful "Silhouettes of You" video, like 16 months after it's release. So maybe the guy who said they updated the algorithms was probably right, because it looks like it's really cracking down. Clean house! 🤣 I hope they don't come for my FYAOY (You Book 4) videos!

    • @cinekizzle
      @cinekizzle  6 місяців тому +1

      Oh no I'm sorry, that really sucks :/ it's kinda crazy for them to come after small channels for just talking about their show. Like they're punishing us for engage in the fandom and sharing our love and interest of the show with other fans. Ugh
