The words Dr. Pitre said need the end about Jesus loving us, wanting to draw us into his suffering to know Him brought tears to my eyes I have suffered a lot, been sick a lot, am sick again since August. It does bring me closer to Jesus an is so worth it. Praise to our loving Lord.

Since comments were excluded from the "statues as graven images" talk, yes, God has the Israelites make angels over the Ark of the Covanent and has Moses make the bronze staff with the snake on it for the people to gaze upon to be healed. Fast forward to Church history. We are promised the Holy Spirit to guide us in every generation. St.Jude, author of an epistle, made an image of Jesus to share with the Syrian king. Gazing at this image, the king was healed of leprosy
St. Jude's Children's Hospital for cancer is named for this Saint who evangelized there. St. Luke who wrote a Gospel, interviewed Mary for the Nativity. He painted the first image of Mary holding the Christ child. In the catacombs throughout the Roman empire one can see images painted on the walls of Christ by those early Christians. Veronica got His picture on her veil ( we are not a Bible alone Church since we do NOT exclude the workings of the Holy Spirit), and in recent times the shroud of Turin, the burial cloth of Jesus was found to have not only blood stains, but His image. Just as the sabbath was moved to Sunday instead of Saturday and Peter got the vision of eating any food not just kosher, and circumcision was not deemed necessary, images to honor, remember, or teach the faith were allowed. Sometimes I have weird dreams when during a time I’ll be learning very important things. Like when I first discovered consecration, fasting and praying, I had dreams of raw meat and very powerful weapons that enemies ran away scared from! 3 rays of light.
When using the word of God during the day I dreamed of sword fights or sharp knives.
When dreaming about dull knives, is poorly or ineffectively using the Word of God.
Today I dreamed of a light saber, like the one in Star Wars! It cut through very thick metal, it was really powerful!!! And you know what that is???
The knowledge that my Lord and my God humbled himself in that cross for us...

It becomes clear as Dr. Pitre teaches, that we can't "think" our way into humility, and a message like this will always be understood in retrospect, after the Holy Spirit has led us into the necessary circumstances that will produce humility in our own experience, such as some failure, injustice, or the blow back we might get from doing something prideful then coming to the realization by the Spirit that we were actually embarrassingly pompous when we thought we were pretty smart.

Little question as im learning and trying to understand could you please point me to where I can find scripture about it being ok to pray to Mary while we pray to the Father through Jesus or even at all? All I have seen we are told not too? I dont want to grieve the Holy Spirit is all.
Dear Dr Peitre, How can someone born without sin be Fully Human?
And he says the son of man has nowhere to lay his head. Is he a builder? Does he ever wish an earthly family? How can humankind wish to skip the earth path- live so lightly, -aim purely to heaven?
I only have one problem. Dr. Pitre at 36:34 says that divinity is not God passes out for 'good behavior'. But what about where Peter says we are going to be partakers of His Divine nature? Did not Aurelius Augustinus say that God became man that men may become gods? did not Jesus say under the questioning of the High Priest that His Father said "you are gods"? So yes let us be humble that Our Father may raise us up to be like His Son, for eye has not seen, and ear has not heard nor has it entered into the heart of man what God has ready for those who love Him. Our Father has big plans for us.

@@tituslivius2084 I've read them both. They're both awesome. I read Lee Strobel's book long ago and I sent him an email to use the same investigative skills he used to prove Christ truly existed and examine the claims of the Catholic Church. If he ever does that, I'm certain he'll become Catholic.

At this point engagement with Christiaan would be evangelical, with the possibility of apologetics, rather than clarifying elements of doctrine.
