The Battlefield Line 'Winter Warmer Steam Gala' 2025:

A very enjoyable two day annual event in some difficult working conditions for the volunteers. This video was done wholly on Day 2 (Sunday 12th Jan) which was a much milder day than the freezing fog of Day 1 which caused some disruption to the schedule. Despite some slippage in the schedule on Sunday, everyone did a fine job of keeping the trains moving especially the lads at Market Bosworth controlling the shunting movements by hand winding and clamping points.
Nice to see the 'Tyseley Team' enjoying themselves on 'Fred' rather than their usual 5043 or 7029 steeds on the main line. I'm sure they felt quite at home surrounded by 3 GWR loco's who put on a good performance.

Certainly are Nick and so glad that I enjoyed my misspent youth working on them. It's why I prefer video because photo's miss out on the audio which is also essential. I'm glad you enjoyed the change but I'm sure I'll be back to 66's soon. Cheers, Brian.
