I have a 2002 500 and I suspected the regulator/rectifier was bad. When I removed the cable from the battery to test voltage out of the regulator it would just die. Guess it's a DC CDI and needs the battery. Glad I looked into before getting stuck in the woods.
On a artic cat you have to have the left brake lever pulled back or it won’t fire when starting
I own that quad we tried to run it but it died so we might have to buy battery for the Atv its a good quad tho
