This scene cut me to the core. Jesus stated many times what was going to happen and they still don't understand. how often am I like them and don't understand what he is saying.
I remember the day it dawned in reading in Acts 1 that until He ascended, they did not understand fully. How much are we like them.😢 This scene is heavy. Thanks for the breakdown
The tears flowed and my heart broke for Jesus as I watched this scene. I cried for Jesus; certainly not looking forward to the suffering he would face, but knowing it must be done. My heart also tore for Jonathan. As a believer, he had to play this scene with a heavy heart. I felt badly for the disciples misunderstanding, but did understand their confusion. This could not happen to the Messiah, who healed the sick, raised the dead, walked on water, calmed the seas.Would any of us have understood?
Thank You for the interpretation of the upcoming scenes and showing Scripture to back those scenes, SO IMPORTANT, this shows more the difference between Hollywood and what Dallas and the crew is doing to bring out the TRUTH of Gods Word !!! We’re getting to the pivotal moments and many people have come to Christ over the past seasons already , wait till the next season and there after , THIS is the whole point , if not , we would Not be here talking about season “4” 😉😉 God Bless , Titus 2:13 🙏🏻✝️🙏🏻
The fighting amongst the apostles reminds me of the fighting among church doctrines today. Good grief! People, the bottom line is that Jesus came to save us from ourselves and our sin.
I was stymied by this scene. The rest of the evening was stuck there for me. To have to watch it and how hurtful it was for him was too much for me. We HAVE to do better. Holy Spirit, please open our eyes and ears. We are in a similar time. 😢 Let us see and hear Your voice.
I have read the New Testament again and again, and always wondered why the disciples didn't get it, but the Chosen is helping me SEE. Truthfully, I still don't get it sometimes either. Again and again, I try to do Kingdom work in the flesh. This is going to be very hard for me to watch, because I will feel that Jesus is speaking to me. Great job, Sleuth!
When you showed the scripture “that it was concealed from them” that explains so much. They weren’t meant (weren’t allowed) to understand apparently, probably for the reason you stated - they would try to stop it. The fact that “it was concealed from them” explains why they could not understand. Very interesting and informative.
Modern Christians often feel we would behave differently if in their situation but we still do not fully get...I am coming back! We have work to do and we act like we have all the time in the world. I am chief among these offenders. Seeing these scenes puts it in my face in a way thats undeniable. As much as the Chosen speaks to the lost, these scenes and verses speak to His Body! Do we have ears to hear?😢
Well, no friend, it's in those born again. Jesus is in Heaven waiting for the day He is sent back by the Father. Til then, we work inviting people to the banquet until He comes back and restores everything and judges the whole world. He's not here like He was, He's here in the holy spirit, yes, but I'm not sure what you mean. We do have work to do. Your comment is murky can you explain?
All the actors do a great job of looking chastened and confused, but I find George Xanthis' performance in this scene particularly good...Thanks as always for your reviews, you're the best!
They had him look frustrated in that scene. I can imagine it had to have it challenges, knowing what is to come and your people around just dont get it
I don't always think Dallas focuses on how close Jesus and John actually were. They were so close that John was able to tell everyone who He is and John was given care of Mary.
I agree, but also I think John like Peter had to go on a journey of understanding. His awakening may have taken time, this incident proves he didnt really get it. But yes, John knew Jesus differently and His love for Him is evident in his writings
I think in Season 4 we gonna see that. John is the youngest, right? And he looked so sad and concerned about what Jesus was telling them. He's like a prodigy kid who wants to help and understand everything, he wants to stay close to his Rabbi. ❤ George and Jonathan did such a great job, I sobbed.
Wow ! That was deep I don’t care how many times you read it or see it, it always make me think about right now in how a lot still don’t get it , and I’m talking about the church how this is so important so serious. It’s some kind of way we do the same thing as those 12 disciples did. It made me teary-eyed it because we had no clue then and here it is two thousand years later and we still have no clue. But to God be the Glory because for some of us it just might not be your time to get it, maybe some of our season haven’t came yet. Only God know the plans. Love you all to life 🥰
This must have been a monster scene to write! In order to bring all the right information and not be misleading, wow. It reminds me of how Peter Jackson and his fellow writers on Lord of the Rings used a lot of dialogue from Tolkien but sometimes borrowed across scenes and even characters. Telling the story of Jesus is kind of like shrinking down the Lord of the Rings into a shorter story, so I see how they'd need to combine scenes. It takes skill to do it well!
It seems like Dallas did the amalgamation of Jesus foretelling His death and resurrection for the third time and Jesus rebuking James and John again (specifically read Matthew 20:17-28; Mark 10:32-45). Dallas didn't take the other instances from the Scriptures to include into this portion but he only weaved these two successive events.
Hi Brandon I’m back what I mean by that is I’ve been in England for ten weeks and at my mums there is no internet! So I haven’t stopped following you lol I’ve just seen the sneak peek and I’m already emotional as usual the trailers alone get to me every time ! Also I’ll share with you I was booked to go to Israel at the e ndof October and you know what happened there I was gutted even though I’ve been four times already ! So I’m ready now to catch up on all I’ve missed x
Imagine, waking up spiritually and realizing you were part of this story. Even 2,000 yrs later your still healing through you own wounds, lack of understanding and falling short moments. I assure you Peter was hurt just as much as Andrew was from the loss of John. Here's another truth for you, these men compose the same men/souls who were the elders of Moses and were specifically some of the first Levite Priests that is why they were the "Chosen". There was no random in the choosing as each were know already for their works.
I have always seen it when Jesus asked James and John can you drink the cup and the baptism as him asking them if they are able to give up their lives as he is and suffer for others as he knows he is about to do and then then revealing to them they will indeed follow him in the persecution and suffering and finally entering his kingdom , as of that time they did not understand what was about to happen.
One thing I noticed was that Judas spoke out honestly that he couldn't believe they asked that in front of everyone. Then Jesus launches into His coming torture and death. I bet the prospect of literally being crucified will be a factor in Judas' eventual choice.
You're so right that "who is being held hostage?" is a funny line, you can see it coming, and yet when it's said it's not funny at all. Really great dynamics going on. Because of course you don't want humor to take away from the seriousness of the moment, no matter how tempting.
G'day, Gudrun! It appears that Simon Z. is processing the word "ransom" literally and thinking through his background as a Zealot fighter and the implications of being a hostage.
Of course, these things are obvious to us with the benefit of hindsight. But Christianity completely turns things upside-down. The notion that the messiah would be killed (and raised) is just foreign to them. It's just not in their lexicon. We tend to forget that ... but we've had the benefit of 2000+ years of Christianity. It's engrained in us.
Brandon, I so agree! This is going to be hard for this season 4! 😬 I just want to scream at the disciples and say, " Hey, you just don't get it, do you, you don't understand what's about to happen!! " And especially to Judas, I would be like, What in the world are you doing!? You're crazy!! 😱😬🙄😮💨
I have not seen any of season 4 yet…. I knew….starting to watch The Chosen that the time will come when … the intensity of the message was going to be very hard to watch ! The unraveling of the days leading up to Jesus’s arrest and torture! Watching these episodes will be very difficult for me. Very, Very Difficult ! 😳😢😔
I've never really studied the disciples' responses to Jesus foretelling His death and resurrection. Listening to your breakdown makes me remeber how we as hu.ans deflect and change the subject when we can't or dint want to process certain things. Maybe their brains just couldn't compute the information they were being given and arguing about marginal things was a defense mechanism...🤷🏽♀️
They do not understand the time is which God The Father has Willed. They are most concerned with being in deity, or in charge. They so wanted the Kingdom to come. It was not close, yet they All just want to participate into the power of The Kingdom……
Isn’t it interesting that the disciples still thought Jesus’ kingdom was literal and still today most of the church is looking for a literal 5’5” Jewish man to set up an earthly kingdom. Won’t we EVER learn that God is Spirit!!!
We had two different audiences building on our main channel. So I knew it would be better to split them so that the channel wasn’t harmed overall by a split audience.
We want to say to the apostles, “How clueless can you be?” But would we have been any different if we had been in their place? It is a lot different seeing it in retrospect.
This is really going to be a good season 4 @ plus the other season" s!!!! They maybe hard to watch !!! Ɓut this will just draw you close tò jesus @ also let us understand what jesus went through!!! with his disciple" s

This scene cut me to the core. Jesus stated many times what was going to happen and they still don't understand. how often am I like them and don't understand what he is saying.
I’m with you, cut deeply, from just realizing some areas where I was blind to my own ingratitude and unforgiveness. I don’t always get it either.
I remember the day it dawned in reading in Acts 1 that until He ascended, they did not understand fully. How much are we like them.😢
This scene is heavy.
Thanks for the breakdown

You did an amazing job Branden describing the heaviness that Jesus will be going through!!!!!!!

It was heartbreaking to watch and realize that we all hear what we want when the LORD speaks to us so plainly. It hurts to know how we behave. 😢
The fighting amongst the apostles reminds me of the fighting among church doctrines today. Good grief! People, the bottom line is that Jesus came to save us from ourselves and our sin.
Doctrine is important. Prots cannot see that.
That sneak peek scene was so intense! But I loved it! Season 4 is definitely gonna be tense! Thanks for breaking it down for us Brandon! 💕👏🏻👏🏻

Brandon, God bless you. You have helped the HS open my mind to how, I as the Apostles have been dense. Thanks, don't stop you where He wants you.

I love when you break down the scenes tying them into Scriptures. So helpful. Thank you❤️
I didn’t understand much of the trailer, so thank you for your insights!

He is still here. Christ in You the Hope of Glory. In all people. The work is Father’s work in you if you let Him.

The Disciples are all of us.
It’s notable that James was the first apostle to die for Jesus (in Acts 12 which is very understated,) and John was the last.
Hey Snipe family!! Love the new season four scene!! Got chills watching it!! Can’t wait!!! Hope you’re doing well!!😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏✋🏾✋🏾✋🏾
Man, Andrew is really gonna flip out about Jesus’s death and redirection- even more than he was about JTB!! It’s gonna be wild!!😍😍😍😍
They had him look frustrated in that scene. I can imagine it had to have it challenges, knowing what is to come and your people around just dont get it
Thanks Brandon for the break down. ❤

Thank you. The explanations you give are very helpful regarding the Chosen and Scripture.
Well done my brother. The tension is growing all around. Thank you for what you do to explain things that we often overlook.

I cannot WAIT to see Season 4! Thank you for speaking about this and how it relates to the Bible! 💖
This is the best slurth episode you have done yet, you really went deep into scripture IMHO, can't wait for the new season and your teachings on it.
Lots more to come! And maybe next time I’ll have more than a few minutes to prepare 😂
We would not have understood any more than they did. Fabulous capture of the exact moods and realities that are developing here. I subscribed today.
Well done video. Thank you Brandon. ✝️
Hello from Canada.
I like listening to you. I watch your videos. You have a very gentle face and beautiful smile. May God bless you!🙏🌹
brilliant commentary Brandon. thank you so much!😊

Ahhhhhh I watched it in the livestream I freaked out!! I love James and John but omg😂
You’re doing a very good job of explaining these episodes thank you😊
Great breakdown of the scene. Getting so intense. Can't wait for Season 4. Happy Christmas to you and Vanessa 🎅
Man, excellent job on this breakdown!
You are right about Jesus. I heard Dallas say the theme of Season 4 is that Jesus is the one who is heavy laiden.
It seems like Dallas did the amalgamation of Jesus foretelling His death and resurrection for the third time and Jesus rebuking James and John again (specifically read Matthew 20:17-28; Mark 10:32-45). Season 4 is going to be very traumatizing!!! I have been crying for weeks thinking about it!!!
It's getting really serious now 😢

Cannot wait to see this in context. Sooo amazing!!!
Also in Luke 18, Jesus explains in more detail as well. Interesting note that in Luke 24, Jesus opened their understanding after His resurrection.
Thanks!
Thanks so much!
Thank you Brandon.
The trailer made me cry I can't think of what the episode will do!
One thing I noticed was that Judas spoke out honestly that he couldn't believe they asked that in front of everyone. Then Jesus launches into His coming torture and death. I bet the prospect of literally being crucified will be a factor in Judas' eventual choice.
John is gonna find out who will be at Jesus's right and left, and it will not be pretty.
Wow that’s deep, James.
Yes, because he is the one apostle that was at the crucifixion.
Wow thank you so much
I was not happy that Dallas chose to NOT have Salome ask. THAT was a HUGE letdown.
You're so right that "who is being held hostage?" is a funny line, you can see it coming, and yet when it's said it's not funny at all. Really great dynamics going on. Because of course you don't want humor to take away from the seriousness of the moment, no matter how tempting.

Hi! Thanks for sharing this. Are you going to LA premier event in January 17? 😊

Hello Brandon watching again 😊

Jesus is the rock and Peter was given the the Authority to manage the church
It is both and - Jesus names Simon as Rock (Peter/Kepha) go to John chapter 1, where this is blatant and explicit.
He's the cornerstone specifically. Peter and the others are still part of the foundation.
And we have 264 successors to St. Peter.
Hard things are indeed coming!
Where is this scene on UA-cam? I can’t find it
The modern church still doesn’t understand that everything changed: Who was on the Cross of Calvary and why... still clinging to self preservation.
I tried to watch the Season 4 trailer breakdown supposed to be live and it says it’s been banned!!!
Where can we watch this scene?
Aloha from Hawaii 🌺🤗🌹🕊️🔥🌈 Brandon and Vanessa ❤
Some of us still don’t understand 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
You have a beautiful smile. ❤
It would’ve been good for them to have the little child in their midst.
Ok....but when can we talk THAT NEW TRAILER?!?! 🤯😱💀😭
Soon….. 😂
@@TheChosenSleuth ha! Sir! 🤣

Watched season one on Netflix cannot find season two anywhere someone help me out please

The son of man is Jesus’ body.
The apostles did not get it. But if it was today we would not have either.
Thats confusing it different in 2 parts of the scriptures the left and right side of jesus. Where its different wordings who asked jesus
Hello sir
This was the past that happened to Jesus for last year was the second coming
Do you think season 4 will have the story of the adulterous woman?
It's possible, though I haven't seen any evidence of that.
Why did you make this channel to post all your Chosen content? And not keep posting The Chosen content on your main channel, The Snipe Life?
We had two different audiences building on our main channel. So I knew it would be better to split them so that the channel wasn’t harmed overall by a split audience.
@@TheChosenSleuth I see, thanks for explaining.
Jesus seems so sad that they have not learned anything. Seems real sad.
A ransome for all, but they still don’t get it
Too bad we can't just watch the clip without you trying to narrate it.
Came here in the hope of a scene ... sadly, just more talk 😞
Go to the most recent Chosen Christmas livestream, and skip to the 1:05:50 mark, do it quickly or you wont be able to see it anymore
