Man I couldn’t agree with you more about Harry Mack bringing new fans to rap. I’m a heavy metal guy who does appreciate some rap , particularly old school like Public Enemy, Ice T, and KRS one. But when o first heard Harry I was immediately drawn into everything he does! I went to his live show and it was one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen! Mind you I’m 57 and have seen probably over 1000 concerts in my life!!! But one of the things I like the most about HM is just how REAL he is. What I mean is he is absolutely not fake about his knowledge and appreciation of true rap artists! He is also being real about how genuine and appreciative of the success he has. You can feel it! And he deserves everything good that comes his way!!! His work ethic, his heart and his talent will make him legendary! He needs to keep trusting his instincts bc they seem to be spot on!! He just wouldn’t come through as authentic if he started rapping about whores and jewelry. I hope he stays real! I’m not even bagging in rappers that do street rap bc it’s REAL. It’s who they are! It’s not HM! He also has the ability to adjust his freestyle to his audience like if kids are there. This can open the world up to him like when he was on Ellen! There will be backlash from other rappers who may call him a sell out but damn man who cares?!!! He has a talent that literally no one has right now so just let it shine baby! One more thing I believe in about 5 years there’s going to be a bunch of new freestyle rappers that will blow everyone’s away and it’ll be all bc of HM! He will be known as The Godfather of these new rappers. So even if he doesn’t become a huge star he will still be a legend. I’m so sorry for suck a long post but I love me some HM and I needed to sound off!!!

I get what you are saying. HM is awesome because he is so wholesome, and his skills are insane! HMs skills are crossing boundaries, doesn't matter if you hate rap, his improvisation is what makes it so effing cool. Everyone like music that takes skills to learn, even more improvisational skills. Just like Marcus Veltri or TheDooo. Cool music will overtake genres. Like you said, he would lose a lot of followers, his integrity, and it wouldn't be authentic if he started rapping about "whores and jewelry". But I just want to say, that's not what rap is all about. There was a time, and there still is some, where rappers would rap about "money and hoes". But there are a lot of great rappers that don't rap about that. Eminem, who has been in the game for a long time, from what I remember, don't rap about that, at least not for the majority of the time. What do you mean by "other rappers calling him a sellout"? If anything, he is the opposite, he's independent of label companies... they are the sellouts.
But yeah, HM has spawned a new generation of freestyle artists, it's not gonna be the next 5 years, but in probably in 10-15 years, we are gonna see a lot of them. Question is, is anyone gonna be better than HM? HM has a jazz drummer background, so he has the improvised rhythm in him, which makes him even better. There are, and have been, a lot of good freestyle rappers, but Mack has made it more "mainstream", for a lack of a better word.

This one is just different, every single one of his are awesome but I think Guerrilla Bars 25 is the best video he's ever put out. Besides the unenthusiastic triples of kids in the second freestyle everything else was just crowd magic and just "regular" over the top insane H Mack stuff

Mack truly a testament of finding his lane and spending years working on his craft, while also bringing joy to others. Been watching his videos for 6-7 years and he just grinds...freestyling in the street, on youtube, on omegle, wherever. Just amazing to see his growth over the years.

1) That Bose speaker is absolutely amazing. I have one. 2) I just can't fathom how Harry Mac does what he does. I cannot think of one rapper alive today, that is better than him. He's not just better, he's like 100 levels higher than any rapper today. Especially these mumble rappers. But Im putting Harry Mac up there with Biggie, MnM, Jay-Z, Nas. He crushes them all. How is he not signed to a record label!? I know he's older than your average rapper, but his skill level negates all that. I have actually gotten chills on some of his videos. While I agree that Marshall's pen game is definitely where it's at, and Marshall, X, Pac, Biggie, Nas, Jay and other legends carry a different aura and intensity around hip-hop..
Harry's insanely unique and exciting talent while being of and about the culture definitely has people feeling that he is one of the best rappers out there, and not only regarded as the best freestyler.
Obviously being 'the best' is heavily subjective, especially when trying to blend freestyle with writtens, there would be a lot to discuss.

Harry Mack got the hood super power we all dreamed of having when rap first came out. We used to practice free styling just in case we got in a rap battle. This takes me back to the roots of hip hop. We would breakdance battle and carry our radios around .. I used to dream I could do what Harry does in real life.

I agree with the sentiments on the energy difference between Omegle bars and these guerilla bars. And I think it’s an important note as regards hiphop in general. I think that what you see with a lot of new and emerging rappers, what they lack in their style is the experience of being a master of ceremonies - to be able to capture a crowd. You know that the old rappers had to go through that struggle before becoming certified, they needed to be able to summon and channel that live energy. Today, you can start to generate a profit from “rap content” without so much as looking at another person and this shines through their actual artistic expression. Since this channel has a lot of Eminem content, it is perhaps the one fault I can attribute to Em (having followed Eminem since his come-up). In the last few years, he barely performs live and that absence is felt in his cadence and style shift over the last 5 years or so. Still love his art for what it is (meditational word puzzles almost, and every now and then bringing that courageous exposure of his most intimate conflicts), but definitely different from the live energy that a master of ceremonies brings.
