i know this isn’t the meaning of the original but this version reminds me of being in a relationship that’s bad for you, but because you love the person you convince yourself things are okay and you just try to stay hopeful, maybe you’re even being manipulated to think that way, but it’s really damaging you over time and you can feel that by the end of the song, idk it gives me chills
