About selections. If you have a working selection right now and creating a new mask - the selection automatically goes to this mask. So as you painted white form on a new layer 3:00, you could hold Ctrl and click on this layer, which creates a selection of it. Next step - just click on the layer you want to add a mask and create a mask. So you will have the same result, but in 3 simple steps against 7. Sorry for english, I hope I conveyed the idea.

So far the only tutorial I've seen that takes it slow and doesn't require prior experience to soft design.

What a new tricks and knowledge that i get form this video, i get tricks how to create rim light by using vivid light mask, i think its a bit simple way but i know this trick now, Thank you man. This channel help me a lot.😃

I think when creating the mask, no need to create a separate black layer beneath the B&W image, instead, we can just fill the BW image layer with black in “behind” mode.
