  • This is the story of a pastor who set members of his congregation ablaze because they committed fornication.
Reverend King, also known as Rev. Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, was the founder and leader of the Christian Praying Assembly (CPA) church in Lagos, Nigeria. He gained notoriety in Nigeria and beyond for his controversial teachings and practices, as well as his involvement in a high-profile criminal case.
In 2006, Reverend King was accused of the murder of one of his church members, Ann Uzoh. He was alleged to have poured petrol on her and set her on fire, leading to her death. He was subsequently arrested and charged with murder.
The case attracted widespread attention and media coverage in Nigeria and sparked public debates about the role of religious leaders and the need for accountability in religious institutions. After a protracted legal battle, Reverend King was found guilty of murder and sentenced to death by hanging in 2007.
This case reflects poorly society and on the influence King has.
Question remain, is king a religious leader or a cult leader?
