I actually had no idea how much a max zed costs normally since whenever I use zed I bring a DJ along and it always has encore before I get max so seeing that it was 64 thousand kinda surprised me.

Actually with extra towers, Djs, commandos, Golden commandos, Railgunners eg. They can help zed bring up to the end and kill the void. So its not entirely true that you can't beat void with zed
I know this doesn't really have anything to do with the zed but I really dislike how towers start at LEVEL (1) When they should start at LEVEL 0. Because in reality you're only getting 4 upgrades. Not 5.
I am both a TDS and a TB player as well and fun fact: did you know that TDS copied the idea of gold towers of perks from TB and the platinum crate was the same as the gold crate but they decided to steal the idea from TB and disable the platinum crate
