RACING ACROSS THE OCEAN: Sailing Newport to Bermuda

Meet the winning team of the 2024 Newport Bermuda ocean sailing race. Out of 160 boat crews, and after 650 miles of ocean racing, we pulled it off. Captained by my father Barrett Holby, owned by Rives Potts and the Potts family, crewed by an amazing group listed below, I am proud to have completed this race with my Dad, and to have finally after all these years see him win this beast of a race. This is nothing less than the culmination of 21 Bermuda races over 40 years of ocean racing to his name. This is my 4th Bermuda race and probably the 5th big ocean sailing race I’ve done with him. He drove us forward like Caesar. He’s made of steel and from a time when boats were made of aluminum.
