I am glad you have found a travel companion that is as friendly and open to the world as yourself. Julian smiles a lot more than Tommy, even if he can’t speak 72 languages. 😀Ignore haters. As you say, One Love!
No country is totally without crimes or without the possibility of a negative experience, as Julian has pointed out. Namibia still looks like an impressive country with a lot to offer. Thanks Josey for another great video.👍
Always be careful when people touch you in such situations. Its a distraction so you dont focus on other things. I was walking in Windhoek CBD when a "beggar" touched me and talked while another guy took things out of my backpack. Many locals were around and the only one who helped me was a British guy. I wondered if it was a race thing not to help me as a white guy or a rich tourist. But maybe they were scared.
Julian , Haters going Hate , your very cool and a person like Miss Josey wouldn’t waste her time with someone who isn’t good vibes ! Love you both . It’ll be a sad day when Julian heads back to Canada .
Sorry for the bad experience. I am Namibian and Windhoek scare me the most.. Make sure you don't talk to strangers that much, sdi not trust anyone., don't let anyone follow you and be careful with your belongings. Windhoek was veery safe but not any more. Maybe 50% Thank you for visiting our beautiful country miss Josey. Have a blast. But all in all Namibia is a great country and has so much to offer.
So sorry you went through this luv! Glad you are okay and made it out. And im happy to see that despite this unpleasant experience you still had some fun with your friend. Also, how is daphne and bridgette doing? Im sure you will do an update on them eventually but i hope they doing okay!!! Much love!!!
Oh wow, it's been a while that I haven't you,Josey. As usual, You look Lovely. I'm glad you have a traveling companion. Take care of yourself and bye bye.
So happy you're able to find travel partners. Miss Josey I have a one questions. What do Ugandans who live in remote area do for skin infections that get infected?
the part where the dude asked about the shoes was some kinda psychological test. Talking calm & confident sometimes helps in such situations. But dont follow or fight someone who has stolen or robbed sth from u. A lot of people get shot or stabbed for doing that, in many parts of the world . dont risk your life for a replaceable item. its like russian roulette or even more dangerous
Josie OMG 😱😱, Namibia, really ? Meanwhile, here in Europe, I am thinking I can't wait to visit this beautiful country in the Southern Western area of Africa.. 😔. I am so disappointed the security guards and almost 50th people stood there doing NOTHING while they use were getting robbed. Now, I am not sure anymore if I'll add Namibia to my travel destination if their security system is NOT safe.
Holy moly, Josey has recently acquired a Canadian accent! She sounds so different from her original deep, Ugandan 🇺🇬 English (also colloquially referred to as Uglish (/ˈjuːɡlɪʃ/ YOO-glish) since she’s met & fallen head-o-heels for Julian, her wild, white Canadian 🇨🇦 lekgowa flame 🔥!
Phone snatchers are there. Generally it's safe in Windhoek. Such incidents occur but rare. That's why at times some restaurants dnt want to see a tourist being disturbed by a stranger. They prevent those things coz not everyone who approaches you is genuine.
Amazing to watch you travel this beautiful country and see all the beautiful people and places thank you so much for all your efforts God bless you miss Josey. From Vancouver island Canada
I guess when you guys are finished in Namibia you will come to South Africa. You need to be vigilant and aware that there are criminals everywhere. Don't trust people on the streets coz you will be scammed and robbed. It just a reality that you must be aware of. But it is a real adventure and enjoy it don't let criminals spoil your fun. You will meet some lovely people too.
Successful global travellers have to go through such experiences. You just need to learn how to handle such situations: just give them what they want even if you remain 💯 naked, as long as you retain a life.
@gregggyf thieves "work hard" to be able to enjoy December festivities. They go back to villages for Christmas to show off their wealth. One always has to be extra vigilant in Windhoek during this time.
Wow! I'm so surprised this happened to you in Namibia. Windhoek is presumed to be one of the safest cities in Africa. Come to Angola, at least in downtown Luanda, I'm sure nothing like that will ever happen to you!
In related to crime, I thought Namibia is very safe than Angola or S. Africa. In your videos, one thing, i am amused of the width of the raods. Namibian roads are like American cities road in relation to their width
What type of job has Julian in Montreal? Namibia has the best biltong even South Africa biltong can't be compared because S Africans love Namibian biltongs.

@joncolinas5609 Well, if you put it that way, then I guess it's up to him and Josey to respond. I honestly did not intend to be unnecessarily antagonistic.
Hungry and poor people must be avoided in any country. Dnt befreind hungry and poor looking people. They friendly for something only. Greet them and go.
Crime is encouraged by the tough economic situation, big gap between the rich and poor, and corruption by the big fish. Security guards play blind and robbers are praised by people who have suffered enough. Namibia is a beautiful country but the majority are suffering. Things are very expensive. Rent is high and salaries are stagnant with no adjustment for inflation. There is this hidden resentment among the population which is not so obvious to foreigners.
Not all Namibians, mainly in Windhoek. Other small towns and villages people will come to your rescue. The Windhoek thieves are always armed, it's not worth it for one to risk their life, especially over a phone. Also with our weird laws a lot of people have been arrested for assault while trying to catch thieves, securities included. So one it's not worth risking one's life over a phone.

Namibia I thought it was safe and low crime rate 😮
It was just pickpocket, and pickpocket is low crime it can happen anywhere. Not violent crime
Crime has risen in Namibia over the years. Armed robberies by guys in Golf GTIs are common as well as inside jobs.
Pickpocketting happens thats why one need to be careful with their belongings
Namibia has nice roads, clean and the nice buildings
Namibia has the best roads in Africa...I agree🎉🎉🎉

I read that there were lots of thefts and assaults at the Nyege Nyege festival in Jinja this year. 😧
Yes, festivals of such magnitudes attract wrong elements as well. But the police controlled them successfully.
