Wayne's Welles bodies had a dash that was almost just like the one on this bus. The beautiful thing about this bus is that having the hanging windshield wipers is a testament to the wider variety of buses that came with the wipers that hung from the top. Car, truck, and bus builders I think did a very stupid thing by lowing the wipers. It did call for less wiring from the wiper motors to the engine, but when you had the wipers hanging from above you, they would swing down to clean the rain or snow out of your view. The windshield was a little smaller in height in the 1960s and then about the mid 1970s, the windshield was enlarged to like you see it on this one.
