Hello, I'm just getting started on this, if you don't mind I would like to ask you. I have an Arduino Uno with an atmega328p u-th 354730, is it compatible? Is the purpose of the program to act as firmware? I want to make a flight joystick, is it compatible with hall sensors or should I just use potentiometers? Is it compatible with other games like war thunder or DCS? Thank you so much
Arduino Uno is supported. Mobiflight uploads a firmware and makes the arduino configurable. You define what devices are connected to it and you can configure everything through Mobiflight. Watch the video and everything will make more sense.
I just got started with flight simulator 2020. Very good video. Sebastian I am using Scott Vincent to display the gauges on a 2nd monitor. I am new to this. Is that what I should use ? what you recomend ?
You can use what you think helps making your flight sim experience better. At the moment Mobiflight doesn't offer software gauges yet. Last year I made a Proof of concept where I exposed the data from Mobiflight to a browser with software gauges. So in the future this will become a feature. At the moment the strength of Mobiflight is to build real physical hardware. You can build real gauges using stepper motors or servos. That's a lot of fun.

It uploads to the board but then when i try to exit from the screen i get a message that the selected module does not contain any output device. I have restarted xplane, the board, Mobiflight ...I am using a Arduino Mega and pretty sure the encoder is wired up correctly. Not sure what i am doing wrong?
Thank you for your tutorials. I have a question: When I have done the complete configuration and start MS flightsimulator, do I have to run Arduino IDE, Mobiflight and Simconnect in the background or is the Arduino Controller then working self-sufficient? Thanks for your great work.
stream decks are not directly supported by mobiflight but there is a tool that builds on top of MF... github.com/nguyenquyhy/Flight-Tracker-StreamDeck/blob/main/docs/USERGUIDE.md not sure if it is still developed and maintained
I'm new to this. Can you write VB or C code? Instead of arduino, does it work with Raspberry Pi? My point is instead of hardware switches, can I create app on Raspberry Pi.
you don't write any code when using mobiflight- arduino is the platform for the firmware. we have raspberry pico support. PI is a different platform and the firmware cannot be easily ported. At the moment it's not easily possible to integrate with Raspberry PI

@MobiFlight Hi Sebastian, and thanks so much for the clear and useful tutorial. I was unsure on how to approach MobiFlight, but after watching your video I'm confident I can make it 🙏 Still a couple of small doubts: for MSFS (and PMDG 737-800 in my case) I get that the variable type to use is SimConnect, while instead FSUIPC offsets are meant for P3D and DataRef are for X-Plane. But then what about the remaining type, MobiFlight variable? And also, in my configuration as above, does FSUIPC need to be installed or not? Thank you and kudos for your excellent work! Roberto
In most cases, you don't need FSuiPC for MSFS2020. MobiFlight is not using the native PMDG SDK at the moment. FSUIPC may allow you access to some datapoints fortnehme PMDG. you don't have to use a registered version though.
@@MarkusPosch-wp5if but the message means that there is some problem with the file download from github which the installer tries to do. you probably have a some extra antivirus software, not just windows defender

Can you share how to setup it and thanks a lot.

Thank you for the video. But I've a problem with the 737-800 FD led Captaind and First officer. The code give 100% off. So the led goes on when the FD is off. How can I change that?
i think you already joined our discord and you're getting support on this, right? If not, join mobiflight.com/discord
does mobiflight can work with MUX or multiplexer? do you have video for it?
Fantastic! congratulations, now how a conect rotary encoder in multiplex16c? not way to do?
at the moment that is not possible
Thank you very much for the great contribution to the simulation, it is amazing. I have a problem with ARDUINO UNO. I assign the switches and they work very well but shortly after activating them, the ARDUINO UNO crashes, I reset it and it works again but it crashes again after using the switch. What could it be please?
sounds like it's shorting out and resetting
check your wiring again and make sure it's connected properly
Hello, thank you very much for responding. I solved it by changing to ARDUINO MEGA. But now when configuring heading I get 344 degrees in the HDG cockpit view, and in mobiflight Flight sim value 359.181976, and in Out put value 359.181976. I have tried some formulas in the transform option but I haven't found it@@MobiFlight
@danytovar5715 try Round($,0)
oh and what plane is that? there might be a special preset for it if it doesn't use the standard auto pilot HDG value
Will Mobiflight enable the MiniFCU to work with iniBuilds' A300?
yes! mobiflight users also get a 10% off mobiflight.com/minifcu
Guter tag Sebastian. It is very good that you started new tutorials 2023. There not much video tutorials for Mobiflight. Yesterday I broke my head doing servo tutorial from MB website and result is zero. Please let me know when gonna be new servo video tutorial with explanation of all parameter like input/output values, need external power or not and all others settings. Thank you for your job.
the next video is about troubleshooting, and then I can do another topic
@@MobiFlight Thanks a lot man
Hello dear MobiFlight team,
I bought this mini cockpit from Octavi and have been trying to establish a connection to MSFS or the Fenix A320 for a few days now. Unfortunately I haven't been assigned anything. Do you have a tip for me, or is there already a suitable script for this somewhere?
there are many presets available for fenix, you can filter and search to find the one that you're looking for
Hello, I'm just getting started on this, if you don't mind I would like to ask you.
DCS is currently not supported
Thank you for the software but it says "No modules were found" can you help me?
please join our Discord for such support
hi guys, i have followed this and i tried adding an encoder. It uploads to the board but then when i try to exit from the screen i get a message that the selected module does not contain any output device. I have restarted xplane, the board, Mobiflight ...I am using a Arduino Mega and pretty sure the encoder is wired up correctly. Not sure what i am doing wrong?
hi all please disregard
i guess you figured it out: encoders are input devices
Thank you for your tutorials.
I have a question:
When I have done the complete configuration and start MS flightsimulator, do I have to run Arduino IDE, Mobiflight and Simconnect in the background or is the Arduino Controller then working self-sufficient?
Thanks for your great work.
you only need to run MobiFlight - the Arduino IDE is not needed at all.
hello can mobiflight be used with Xplane 12 and Streamdeck XL? thx
stream decks are not directly supported by mobiflight but there is a tool that builds on top of MF... github.com/nguyenquyhy/Flight-Tracker-StreamDeck/blob/main/docs/USERGUIDE.md not sure if it is still developed and maintained
I am new to MobiFlight. I have MSFS2020 and am planing on a double seat 737-NG based on drawings of Karl Clarke of 737DIYSIM fame. Other than your recent videos is there some reading I need to do and then try various things e.g. switches, LED, etc.? Also what additional software other than MobiFlight do I need to download? I will be using Arduino.
you should be fine with just using mobiflight
Do I need to download arduino ide first before using it for mobiflight?
no! you don't - simply connect the board and start mobiflight
Is it possible to link to Virpil and Elgato Streamdeck IO''s?
Can this interface with DCS? Does it code as USB HID?
Mobiflight doesn't support DCS yet and it doesn't show as a USB HID either.
Is the Arduino 33 BLE Sense supported? Its not being recognized.🙄🙏
No it is not. Why would you want to use a board that is specialized on built-in sensors for the home cockpit application?
Anything for the Turtle Beach yoke?
Oh! it also has LEDs... great idea

Do you need FSUIPC for mobo flight to work?
i am pointing it out in the video - u only need it for p3d and fsx

you might have to install ch340 drivers

i am not sure what you mean - probably mobiflight variables - they are always initialized to 0 when you stop & run mobiflight
How to use Stream Deck as input for MobiFlight?
at the moment that's not possible
Good afternoon, first of all congratulations for your work. I need help. I have built an overhead and wired and programmed with mobiflight. I have used 4 Mega R3 cards, but I don't know how to make all 4 work at the same time, both leds and buttons. There is a way. Thank you so much.
you connect them at the same time and Mobiflight will see them and you can control everything through Mobiflight

Hi Can you use a multiplexer with mobiFlight?
Yes, that's possible. See github.com/MobiFlight/MobiFlight-Connector/wiki/Input-and-Output-devices#input-multiplexer
Hi Sebastian, thank you very much for your great videos. I would like to ask you a help with Fenix A320, I can't see on LCD the set height. The function FXNX320_ACTUAL_ALTITUDE_DISPLAY (A:INDICATED ALTITUDE,Feet) shows the height where the plane is.
Thank you very much.
Mark
you're saying the preset doesn't work?
@@MobiFlight The preset works, but I have the problem that I would like to see the altitude set via the encoder, instead the preset shows the altitude at which the aircraft is and the value goes up or down as the aircraft goes up or down.
If I am at 5000 feet and I set 10,000 feet with the encoder, the preset will show 5001,5002,5003.....
@@marcoity961 then you're using the wrong preset. you have to find one for the autopilot, not "actual"
@@MobiFlight I solved it by using FSUIPC7 Offset variables.
thank you for your time.
@@marcoity961 you should not require FSUIPC for Fenix at all.
Good time of the day, be kind, tell me this program works with DCS World , I 'm making a push - button box and I want to put three seven - segment indicators to receive information from the push - button box ? P.s Thanks in advance!!!!!
Unfortunately DCS is not yet supported by MobiFlight
@@MobiFlight thank !!!!
@@_plasticarmor_8789 what you actually could do is use vJoy to send button presses with MobiFlight to DCS and you can use Mobiflight variables to display data. It can be out of sync with DCS when you start using virtual switches in the cockpit - but if you only use your buttons then it can work
Is the PC version of Aerofly FS4 also compatible?
nope

@MobiFlight
Hi Sebastian, and thanks so much for the clear and useful tutorial. I was unsure on how to approach MobiFlight, but after watching your video I'm confident I can make it 🙏
Still a couple of small doubts: for MSFS (and PMDG 737-800 in my case) I get that the variable type to use is SimConnect, while instead FSUIPC offsets are meant for P3D and DataRef are for X-Plane. But then what about the remaining type, MobiFlight variable? And also, in my configuration as above, does FSUIPC need to be installed or not?
Thank you and kudos for your excellent work!
Roberto
mobiflight variables are sometimes helpful when you locally want to store a variable, e.g. for a multi function based on a switch position.
In most cases, you don't need FSuiPC for MSFS2020. MobiFlight is not using the native PMDG SDK at the moment. FSUIPC may allow you access to some datapoints fortnehme PMDG. you don't have to use a registered version though.
Can you do tutorial about OLED display?

FSUIPC requires programming and script understanding skills. That's why it's better and easier not to use FSX or P3D
we also provide presets for FSUIPC which helps to get started. in general though you're right - it's easier for msfs2020 and xplane
@@MobiFlight Yep. FSX and P3D are obselete. I'ts requires also multiple connected computers and multiple licences for FSX or P3D. A lot of installing, calibrating, alignment software for multiple monitors. MSFS and X-plane are easier and users friendly if oy want to built a cockpit.
