WOW - I love this shawl so much!! It's giving me Art Deco feels. Looks like a really good size too, with your added border! Your colors just really show this pattern off so well!! 👏👏👏
Yours Gogodynamo is magnificent. All versions are so beautiful and inspiring. I finished mine yesterday. I loved knitting it because of its construction, the variety of stitches and textures. It was my first Mkal and not the last. Well done.
Thank you! You’re so welcome. Hopefully something I said or showed will help you in your process. I’ve heard a lot of people saying they will knit this design after seeing it. It might be the best one yet!
I love that you put in the extra large border, and used beautiful yet budget friendly yarn. It came out super pretty. I just started mine, a month late. On a whim, I'm using worsted, just to see how big it turns out, ha.
I am on clue 2, first brioche section. I made a mistake that I fixed, thanks to the video you posted about fixing brioche mistakes. I added a third color held with mohair for my cc in this section. My first time using mohair and I love it. However, I have to be careful not to miss knitting the mohair strand along with the regular yarn. This may be my favorite SW shawl yet.
That’s so awesome! Look at you learning new skills 🤩 That is my favorite part of knitting, there is always something new to try. It’s definitely one of my favorites too!
Isn’t it funny that we can spend so much time knitting but then when it comes to blocking, or the little finishing touches, it can really derail our progress?
@@shaunastitchesI will be blocking soon. Just finished knitting it this afternoon and trying to figure out where I’m gonna lay it out since it’s so big, I have blocking mats, but I still have to put them somewhere. lol !
Mine will take a while, but I will get there. The biggest thing I would like to change is the triangles. I just don't love them, but I do like the slip stitch triangles, so I may try to size them up and use that instead.
Oh that could look good! My only concern would be that the slip stitch triangles don’t have a lot of stretch and the short row wedge triangles do since they are in garter. That could affect how it lays.
Your shawl looks great. Mine turned out to be Christmas colours. Go and look at Kelly’s if you haven’t seen it Row Row and Kades. She used gradient advent leftovers with ecru it’s stunning 😍
A Christmas shawl sounds lovely actually! And you’ve finished it at the perfect time of year. I will check out Row Row and Kades. I’m so amazed at people’s creativity!
I did the ripple border with the suggested 3 MC stripes. I felt it was long enough with that many and I didn’t want to do 4 as I always feel it should be an odd number so I would’ve had to do five and wasn’t sure if I’d have enough yarn.
I’m sure it looks beautiful! The nice thing about that border is that it’s easy to customize it to the yarn amount you had left and it looks good with just a few, or a few extra 🤣
Your shawl is very beautyfull ❤️I follow you with pleasure from DK - I have finished clue 3, but I make a mistake in one of the triangels ending op with a wrong nummer of stiches at last. ( why did’nt I place markers at the beginning😮) . I think I have to unravel and knit it again😅. Kind regards Annette
Oh no 😢 I’m so sorry you have to rip and redo it. If you are just off a stitch or two you could just add a few extra increases and call it good, but I’m guessing that isn’t the case. Making sure I did enough rows in that section was tough.
I finished mine. I made a few mistakes which I didn't realize until after that have me a bit upset about. I wasn't able to do the border because I ran out of yardage on my yarn but the shawl is plenty big enough.
Oh no 😢 maybe you can go back and duplicate stitch or something to fix it? I often find that in a project that big, mistakes aren’t all that visible. I’m sure it’s still beautiful and warm!
I wonder of anyone has done an episode about the mystery knits and the average time it takes to complete each one. I have never dons these shawls but has done 3 different westknit shawls. I love this graphic look and am tempted to make this one!
That would be interesting to know. On one hand I feel like I knit more during the MKAL because I’m so motivated to get the color done before the next one comes out. But, I usually finish with at least a couple days to spare so I could get even more knitting done, but I might not have the motivation.

Thank you! It did turn out a great, large, size. I couldn’t have picked better colors even jf i had known the design beforehand.
It turned out so great. You have one of my favourite colour combinations this year. Great to find your channel in the process too.
Oh thank you, that is so sweet!

Thank you! I’m convinced that no matter how many of Stephen’s MKALs you do, you’ll always learn something new. He’s a knitting genius!
Your shawl is stunning and watching your process was very inspiring.
Thank you! I really enjoy the mystery of it all.
Simply stunning! Great color choices.a winner for sure.
Thank you 🥰
Shauna! Your shawl came out beautifully! 💕💕💕
Thank you 🤗 I’m very happy with it!
It's beautiful! After seeing the finished product I'd like to knit one too. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Those colors on you are just beautiful. I love the size of this year's shawl.
Thank you 🥰 I think it’s a great size, but I love a big shawl.
Your shawl is beautiful well done ❤
Thank you!
Amazing! 😍 I've wanted the clues on the shawls and last socks 🧦 Wonderful Fun! 😊
It really is a lot of fun, even if I get frustrated at certain parts.
Your shawl is really beautiful. I especially like how the bobble sections stand out with the mohair.
Thank you! Bring someone who doesn’t love traditional bobbles, I think these are really great.

Oh wow! That is going to be huge and stunning, I have no doubt. A truly epic shlanket!

And I love your colors. Your Shawl is lovely. I’m happy with mine too. I Need to block, knitting complete.

If you have an extra bed that’s what I used to do.
@@shaunastitches. I was leaning towards that, but I have a kitty cat who likes to lie on that bed so I’m debating.
