Not sure if anyone gives a damn but if you're bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all of the latest series on instaflixxer. Been watching with my brother recently :)
That lacing style is called "heel lock" in running shoes, it not only allows more ankle flexion but also helps keep the heel from moving around as much. I've done it to all my shoes since learning about in in high school, regular shoes, soccer shoes, running shoes, ice and roller hockey skates, etc.
wow this would benefit so many people who need to improve on their hockey skating! this should be a facility you can pay for at most hockey rinks it would be sick
Didnt know people laced their skates like that. I tied my shoes and spikes like that back when I ran in high school. Its popular with marathon runners cause it "locks" the shoe to your foot if the laces come undone
Wow, that's really cool, especially the stick handling drill. Cant imagine that treadmill can make anybody faster though. I never even thought about my stride, I just dug in and boogied.
I did a camp with this treadmill. Taught me longer strides and power equals more speed. Also the feet-mind connection becomes very strengthened as well
When you are more efficient with your body mechanics then you are faster. Treadmills do have the ability to directly address certain inefficiencies, and therefor can definitely make you faster.
0:40 Synthetic plastic that simulates ice??!! I never would’ve guessed. And can you also stop like on real ice? How does that work? Can you make an outdoor rink with that material?
Great video! I'm sweating watching you workout and trying to do the math, that means it takes about 7 seconds to get from one end of the rink to another on this machine, seems like a long time...
We don't have skating treadmills in Nova Scotia. Max was on one once when we went to Ontario for a camp. I loved the instruction you were given by the operator/coach, very good skating tips. I copied two clips of Max on a tread mill for you to see. ua-cam.com/video/JCs72ElvQ4c/v-deo.html , ua-cam.com/video/sQXsbgLTbZY/v-deo.html I think I'm going to book appointments there next time I go to Toronto. The tread mill Max is on is located near Aurora , some where near McDavid's community, I forget the name, New... something or other. Anyway this was a great video. I like to get a better view of how the coach showed you to tie the skates. If you wouldn't mind shooting a video on that to get a better look, that be terrific. Love your videos. Keep making them.
I think if its just for forward striding and crossovers a natural inline speed skating treadmill with marsblades is a better work. Still I would complain about having one of these around
Respect to this skating coach. He's clearly passionate and good at what he does.

@Avery Kamden Definitely, been using instaflixxer for since november myself =)

literally a urethane modular belt on a jimmy jo mickey mouse horizontal conveyor, lol, 6 grand tops to build one
This is what happens behind the scenes when you edit a players stride in NHL 21
The laces can be done on shoes also, it helps with walking or running. I picked it up from a friend and do that.

My late grandfather tied my skates like that 30 yrs ago. I like them to stay super tight. Ihave done it ever since.💯
Didnt know people laced their skates like that. I tied my shoes and spikes like that back when I ran in high school. Its popular with marathon runners cause it "locks" the shoe to your foot if the laces come undone
Been tying my skates like that for years, works great. Keeps em tight too
Grew up using this since I was 6 and it is probably the best hockey training product ever
Lucky

We have one in Canada i do every week
i was using these treadmills 25 years ago although they didn't have a net to shoot on
would love to have a laser projector at home which draws moving targets on the ground while stick handling
Yeah I’ve been on one of those they were very fun!
Sick
Man still waiting for that tiktok goalie game footage.
I wonder, does the double pump work on ice skates like it does for inline skates?
That’s how I tie my skates it changes my skating it is so good

Why is Pavel like the Linus Tech Tips of hockey?
What gloves are those?
Do you have any tips on how to have no fear on your bad foot?
Practice a lot and don’t be afraid to fall.

I’ve actually done this before with my team a couple years ago

Great content. 😃
Nice!
Hmm, he was hardly sweating. I can't imagine getting a skating workout without dumping a gallon of sweat onto the fall-prevention straps.

On TikTok they threw everything at you lol

Hit me up if you're ever in Philly. My 10 yr old goalie thinks he can stop your breakaway
I have a friend Cole Bumgarner who can skate 22
the way how to tie the skates - I do this for ages already. I think, Adidas sneakers were one of the first who implied this technique.
Why doesn't pavel just do squats and get massive quads then go pro?
Is Stacey barber your mom
I do this
I think if its just for forward striding and crossovers a natural inline speed skating treadmill with marsblades is a better work. Still I would complain about having one of these around
