According to Marvin Livingston's site, the actor was on "sick leave" due to illness. However, Ed Nelson makes no mention of this in his autobiography, though he does briefly discuss Dorothy Malone's illness, which kept her off the show for several episodes.
@@prisonerofthenight6352 I realize your message is a couple of years old, but I wanted to say, Ed does very slightly mention his illness in his book on page 311-312. He said he fell ill while shooting PP, was taken to hospital, they did an x-ray and found a spot on his lung. They feared it was cancer & the spot removed but thankfully it was coccidioidomycosis which is a fungal infection known as Valley Fever probably got it while hunting or hiking.
Steven’s obsession for his piece of the Peyton pie is a hot mess. Martin should’ve refused to let he & Betty move in. But, with his age & frail health & the knowledge that he’s aware that all of the secrets are out probably has him feeling vulnerable & guilty. But, I think that he should have upgraded his will in terms of the house. And not let Steven have it until after his death. Also, can’t stand how Betty always had this posh junior society woman air about her. She’s ambitious like Steven but just a high school dropout & didn’t work hard like Steven did…. Now, she’s the lady of the manor! I like Julie better because she was down to earth.
At least Rachel seems a little more normal in this episode.
Im sure Rodney could never have lived with Steven and Betty.
Where is Rossi? Just how long is Rossi’s 2-day trip? What was the actor doing in real life? A movie? Prison?

The soundtrack is really bad for those 2 last episode
I grabbed my blue tooth speaker.
@@denisewells4161 me too. Didn’t really help.
Yes. I know. Wish there was a way I could've improved it. It was this way on its originating disc.
@@soapsnthings4182 okay no problem 😉 thanks you very much anyway
@@soapsnthings4182 I’m just grateful for these videos thank you!

They need to get Rod out of that garage and into an office someplace. He's a Peyton heir for crying out loud!
Rod doesn't want to work in an office. He has that right and I admire him for it.
He is no mechanic! He knew nothing when he started up. You don't become an ace mechanic over night.
@@denisewells4161 He may not be an ace mechanic, but he seems to be making a living at it. I'm sure he learned a lot from Lee.
