Looks like a lot of good work has been done on this Atco. If you can do most of the work yourself, then all well and good, as you will keep the cost down. Great though they are, vintage lawnmowers dont go for a lot of money and one of the drawbacks is that restoration costs can end up being greater than the mowers eventual value.
I have the same model you have, overhauled the mag and carb cleaned all the fuel lines and tank , got fuel, spark and smoke ! It kicks back like a pig but it wont run. It only has 70 psi compression do you think that's enough? Hopefully it will be looking and working as good yours before long.
Just wondering where you find the valves on a two stroke.... More seriously, I'm very impressed by how good the exterior looks after just a clean up. And you give me inspiration to (one day...) do mine properly!
Do you undertake small manufacturing jobs? I need four identical replacement blades for my obsolete wood chipper. Approx size 86 x 41 x 6 mm with two countersunk M8 clearance holes. Material to be air hardened minimum 8% Chrome steel and finished with Rockwell Hardness of 58-59. I have photos and a sketch with exact dimensions. Many thanks in anticipation.

It's such fun to see the resurrection of old machines needing TLC! Congratulations!
Great video and your workshop is fantastic. I’m looking forward to the next episode!
Wow thats looking fantastic.
Great work I enjoyed the engine strip down brought back motorbike memories lol. Love that clutch mechanism. Brilliant video. Tony
Never hammer anything loose on a crankshaft whilst other end is in a vice, that's the quickest way to put a twist in it.
Awesome video! I love doing the same thing.
You have a new sub! 🦅🇺🇸

Hi Pete, it is a 2 stroke so it does burn oil. About 1 part in 16 😊
