I was graduating high school when Tiger Woods first won at Augusta. I remember being at work and finding out about his fall from grace in 2009. 10 years of horrible mistakes, personal issues, mental issues, character issues. To see him SOMEHOW PERSIST, introspect, change and become is really beyond words. For his children to see their father overcome and excel at his very calling in life; as a father myself that is tremendously inspiring. All of us are leaders, if not in family, community or the workplace, then at least in our own lives. And the persistence to overcome and compete against one’s own limitations and expectations, one’s own inner demons, to set an example in not just results, but character - that is what is so inspiring about this Tiger Woods and this victory.

Very well said and I love your statement.. i'm not sure I would include 'mental issues' among his adversity. Unless it is in the broad sense as humans we have mental battles, they don't come more mentally tough than Tiger as evidenced by your larger point that I totally agree with.

Beyond words. The Mozart and Beethoven of the remarkable game of golf. Singleness of purpose. Very simply to win. Profound discipline in order to accomplish ones objective. Yet truely decent and loving person that goes the extra mile. Not just on the golf course but also someone that has a family and people that love and care.

Tiger's has been a long time coming after his body broke down so badly that it seemed that he would never come back. Jack was over the hill. Tiger wasn't even on the hill. Both were amazing.

500 years from now people will still remember Tiger Woods for what he did for the game of golf. There are champions, there are legends, and then there are those few whose feats are eternal. TW is one of them.

It's been amazing to watch Tiger's entire career to this point. I am old enough that I also got to watch the last few years of Jack's career as well. Without a doubt the two greatest golfers to ever live. It's awesome to see Tiger not only contending but winning again. Hopefully he can win a couple more to pass Sam Snead for the all time wins record.

i think Tiger appreciates this one more than all the others... especially the younger talent (that followed his path) that could have won.
if he just beat Jack... or even tie... Tiger would unquestionably be the GOAT in Golf...

Nah maybe a couple though, he had everything set out, molinari dropped, his drive on 13 got through those trees but he still did play great

Tiger Woods, an inspiration, a destiny NOT only for his own greatness, which he rightfully deserves and fought to acquire, but for a nation, even the world, to appreciate and be grateful to have lived to witness and share. THANK YOU Tiger Woods for not quitting, even when many in the world couldn't mind their own business.

Best Commentator Quote Today... *"IT LOOKS LIKE THE FERRARI HAS BLOWN A CYLINDER!!!" - NICK FALDO*
Nicks comment about Molinari on the 7th was spot on! That's when the winds changed strongly favoring TIGER!
    *GREATEST MASTERS EVER!!!*

Also, Tiger is a golf genius. Bryson gets stroked for all the phony mathematical nonsense but Tiger is the genuine article. Always has been. Nobody thinks the game like him. He’s the ultimate tactician. That’s why he and Jack are at the top. Talent can only get you so far. The mind is what separates players from champions and champions from legends.

Something's just occurred to me: It isn't Brooks or Dustin or even Rory that's thrown down the gauntlet to Tiger - it's Tiger that's thrown down the gauntlet to them! This ain't over yet folks - Beth Page Black 2019 will prove something of a classic. I can't wait! Welcome back Tiger - we've missed you.

The dude is an artist. I’ve always thought this but it was clear when he said “...the shots, the SHAPES that I was hitting...” He is doing what artists do, envisioning forms and using a tool to carve them, or like musicians seeing music in shapes and colors.

If i only i could start again playing golf at a young age..I would have analysed this guy so much more. His persistence, his work ethic, dedication, love for the game no one can match. To any kids out there who play golf, listen, study and master this guy. He's the greatest to ever play the sport.
