I haven't played this game. Just read the wiki's explanation of some of the routes. It seems to me the comparatively happiest ending would've been if Byleth sided with Edelgard, but kept communication with Dimitri open. One conversation halfway along their routes could've solved most things, right?

Which, in this battle, is just Azure Moon. You aren’t present for it in Silver Snow because there wasn’t a reason to march on Enbarr before this (Edelgard’s injuries is why you go after) and in Crimson Flower you’re going the other direction.

Shinobi x Blue skies and a battle, a cheerful friendly version of this song, where fighting and training are made to know one another and see your improvement. Now it's a wasteland this rendition is sad, intense meeting the idea that you face the same friends, only this time. To the death, this song is meant to represent the horrors of war, instead of the brightness of training with similar people
"Between Heaven and Earth" is obviously just a slightly poetic way of saying "Between Life and Death", but it's such a simple yet effect title for this track. If you contrast this with Blue Skies and a Battle, it really makes you question 'why does it gotta come down to this' as the battle changes from 'nobody dies because it's a drill battle' to 'kill everyone on the opposing side'.
It probably also refers to Sun Tzu's Heaven and Earth which are the stuff you can't and can choose in a battle. When you return to the Gronder Fields, it is a real test of your art of war, the stuff you were teaching to the kids 5 years earlier.
Bro you already one-shot the death knight two encounters in a row, calm down. Also, one of those two encounters was the find Flayn mission on the very first action. Not first turn, but first action. This game’s archers are slept on man. (Also, I needed a killer bow crit for it to work, and I was in a new game+ save file, but that was still my favorite moment in the game so far lol)
This song breaks my heary every time I hear it. Fighting your past friends in a battle imitating a mock one you did back in the old days... heart-wrenching. Brings me to tears everytime I do the battle at Gronder.
I killed every single member of the Blue Lions. Every last one of them. It was terrifying, because I got myself stuck on a flaming hill. It was depressing, as I liked most of them, especially Ingrid who almost killef Byleth 1v1 with the lance I earned her. Easily most emotional fight in the game.

Lol I just baited Claude to come on his own, and took him out without touching a single member of Golden Deer. Also, good thing I recruited Hilda... Because what should've been her unit reached Lindhardt. And that wouldn't of been pretty.
Literally 😂 drove me crazy. At first I thought "okay, I'll just avoid them and go straight to Edelgard". But then Hilda showed up and started relentlessly chasing down my mages... I got annoyed with her so one hit from Lisithea and she was finished for the day 😅.
I literally cannot believe this game wasn't nominated for best OST... this shows how much these "awards" are sold only for the most popular franchises, not really the deserving ones.

Besides, it's not her being selfish, it's wanting to change Fodlan for the better, her supports with Edelgard & her dialogues in Crimson Flower tell us this. In addition, she's the ONLY student who can be recruited in the war phase without being recruited prior in the academy phase. Where do you come up with this stuff? It's like you played a completely different game.

This track is so legendary, as all tracks in three houses are. But this one is soo good because it sounds as if it is constantly escalating, even on repeat. Just as the battle does
Three Houses is everything that Fates wanted to be but never have the balls. Like killing characters for starters, aside from a couple characters that are killed off in cutscenes, for everyone else it's you pulling the trigger. Long gone are the days of the "maim but avoid killing" bs of Conquest, or the "happy wholesome ending where everyone gets to live (except for Scarlet, b*tch is dead unless you choose Birthright)" of Revelations. And even if you go out of your way to recruit every single playable character, there are a couple that will forever remain out of your reach, no matter what route you take. I really hope that Three Hopes doesn't change this.

I swear to god I tried to spare everyone my first time through. I was so caught off guard I couldn’t do anything but defend my burning team… the thought of poor Bernie just awaiting the first light, assuming she knew… and taking on every blue lion that I enjoyed was just brutal… this game made it impossible to have a perfect ending and it’s something that probably impacted it’s replayability more than I’d know
... and then there's people like me who recruited literally every recruitable student from other houses in part 1 of their first playthough (Blue Lions, so I recruited everyone besides Hubert...). As soon as I realized how OP fishing is for leveling the prof level it was over. I maybe even made the game a bit more dull for me by doing this though. I'd argue that you are supposed to feel a bit conflicted over having to kill the kids from the other houses so I kinda robbed myself of that by grinding so hard to recruit everyone.
If they made any reason for Dimitri and Claude to be fighting it'd make sense and be perfect but they DON'T hell, Edelgard said she'd create warfare so chaotic they can't tell who is friend and who is foe, disguise the alliance as the empire by changing their color to red even if they're coded like they're yellow. That way they still fight the empire but the player can't tell. That's probably the least interesting way to make gameplay and story agree but it'd work.
Damn GOTY awards. Best OST, tactical game, and best Eng dubbed VA were all robbed from this game. Like srsly, it wasn't even mentioned. How dare they ignore FE 3h.

When I heard this theme, I would think this version, would play in a route, where Byleth would unite all of Fodland... against them, by becoming the ruthless overlord that usurped Thales and his followers to take over those who slithered in the dark, the second coming of Nemesis, taking credit for all the hardships that Edelgard, Dimitri and others went through, all this so the past timelines wouldn't come to fruition, this could be this timelines version of Gronder Field, after all the armies are united and the students confront Byleth for the first time in years, there professor now turned conqueror.

Three Houses is everything that Fates wanted to be but never have the balls.
Like killing characters for starters, aside from a couple characters that are killed off in cutscenes, for everyone else it's you pulling the trigger. Long gone are the days of the "maim but avoid killing" bs of Conquest, or the "happy wholesome ending where everyone gets to live (except for Scarlet, b*tch is dead unless you choose Birthright)" of Revelations. And even if you go out of your way to recruit every single playable character, there are a couple that will forever remain out of your reach, no matter what route you take.
I really hope that Three Hopes doesn't change this.

been a few years, but it's still a cracked song as it was back in the day.
I swear to god I tried to spare everyone my first time through. I was so caught off guard I couldn’t do anything but defend my burning team… the thought of poor Bernie just awaiting the first light, assuming she knew… and taking on every blue lion that I enjoyed was just brutal… this game made it impossible to have a perfect ending and it’s something that probably impacted it’s replayability more than I’d know
... and then there's people like me who recruited literally every recruitable student from other houses in part 1 of their first playthough (Blue Lions, so I recruited everyone besides Hubert...). As soon as I realized how OP fishing is for leveling the prof level it was over. I maybe even made the game a bit more dull for me by doing this though. I'd argue that you are supposed to feel a bit conflicted over having to kill the kids from the other houses so I kinda robbed myself of that by grinding so hard to recruit everyone.

If they made any reason for Dimitri and Claude to be fighting it'd make sense and be perfect but they DON'T
hell, Edelgard said she'd create warfare so chaotic they can't tell who is friend and who is foe, disguise the alliance as the empire by changing their color to red even if they're coded like they're yellow. That way they still fight the empire but the player can't tell. That's probably the least interesting way to make gameplay and story agree but it'd work.
...I alone am the honored one.

Damn GOTY awards. Best OST, tactical game, and best Eng dubbed VA were all robbed from this game. Like srsly, it wasn't even mentioned. How dare they ignore FE 3h.

It took me 2 minutes to realize this is a mix of the map and combat version but I must say, no, I have to say this mix is so well performed I almost cried from the epicness. Damnit gonna smash the like button right now! >:)
This game has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. I've never played a fire emblem game but I feel obligated to. Just have to finish my 4+ games I haven't finished 😅

When I heard this theme, I would think this version, would play in a route, where Byleth would unite all of Fodland... against them, by becoming the ruthless overlord that usurped Thales and his followers to take over those who slithered in the dark, the second coming of Nemesis, taking credit for all the hardships that Edelgard, Dimitri and others went through, all this so the past timelines wouldn't come to fruition, this could be this timelines version of Gronder Field, after all the armies are united and the students confront Byleth for the first time in years, there professor now turned conqueror.
