Haven‘t seen a better Eddie anywhere on UA-cam. The acting, the riffs. So great! Overall a phenomenal production! And this Deloris is really carrying the performance!
I just got cast as Deloris but I’m white. There will defo be people in my school who will have a major problem with that and make me out to be some kind of racist. Think I should take the hit and accept the casting or just say no - there’s literally no one else who can carry the role but I’m scared
I played in the pit in my highschools production back in 2018 the pieces were a bitch to learn but once we put everything together it turned out so fucking well I was so glad I was able to be apart of it
I have seen this musical live in Stuttgart (Germany) by Stage Entertainment and have been behind the scenes too. It was a great and wonderful experience. And I have to congratulate you on this show. I watched it with great pleasure and it didn't have to hide behind the professional production. Everyone was enjoying themselves on stage. It was truly amazing. I really hope that the young woman who played Deloris will go on with a musical career, because she was amazing and has a wonderful voice. I am proud to have read she has a german heritage. And for all of those who needed to write critics about whitewashing and kisses on stage: Shut up you bigots. This is theatre and the discussion should only be about talent. And the talent was amazing.

i don't know if the lead is a person of color in any way or if the light just makes them look white lol but if they are white that really takes away from the point of the musical. they did amazing though.
Brilliant! I saw the production when first performed in London at the Palladium with the fantastic Patina Miller. Have to say this is impressive- Bravo.
