This is very relatable, I've had many friends who were very depressed after birth, and I think having more nice people who open up and share their experiences is sure to be a help. I don't know why this one drew me in, as I don't have any children, but I guess I wanted to learn how to be a better friend at a time like that. And then it was nice to get to listen to a real conversation like this! Thank you for all your hard work on your educational materials, even during such a stressful and exhausting and exciting time. Your child will be lucky for their whole life to have a mother like you to look up to!
I just wanted to say how common postpartum depression is, and how cool it is that you're sharing your experience. So many moms feel alone and I think it helps a lot to know other moms are going through the same thing. Awesome podcast as usual! Your podcasts are the most interesting by far!
Glad to hear that! And your comment means a lot to me, as I was a bit doubtful about this episode. But I believe no matter how "ordinary" my experience might have been, a new mom's experience, feelings, and reflections are worth to be heard!

Try to avoid C section if you can. Key word: if you can. It creates complications for the mother as well as the baby's development. I'm surprised it's only a 2 hour window in China. It can potentially lead to weakened immune system which can increase allergies as well as make it hard to breastfeed for the proper amount of time, atleast 1.5 years.

谢谢分享，我也是七月份刚刚生出来了我们的混血宝宝，😅 我体验在很多方面跟你的都很像，我原来以为生孩子没有什么，肯定是个很自然的一个过程，不需要多大的准备，可能学点呼吸就可以了。但是一点都不是跟我想象的那样，孩子出生以后都还不会自己吸奶 😂 它在学，我也在学。有这么弱小的生命在依靠你一个人感觉很可怕但是也非常值得。❤
