I just received a phone call earlier today saying I’m a match for a 5 year old girl. I will be undergoing additional testing to see if I’m the best match. Wow!
Congrats... I hope it all goes well and she lives a long and happy life. The gift of life is so precious and meaningful for donors that I'm almost jealous lol
Congrats! Please do update us, was it a match? Did you donate? :D
I signed up to be a bone marrow donor a few months back, but I was told that the chance of ever donating is extremely slim, but hopefully someone somewhere in the world can use what I can provide.
I had leukemia 8 years ago. I had an anonymous donor as well. I was able to meet her a little over a year later. She is my hero. My whole family loves her. People who are willing to donate a part of themselves are so incredible.
He who saves a life saves the world.
@@sardordarveshov7784 the Jewish Talmud. Also at the end of the movie Schindler's list.
@@BrokenGodEnt the Talmud is more specific and speaks about saving the life of Jewish people, not just any life.
This is why i became a donor!
Everybody deserves a chance at life
Depends on which person gets the donation though. Imagine donating an organ or some sort to a save criminal's life and to have them murder your love ones days after.
@@BeyondAverageSkilled That's a sad way of looking at it honestly. Obviously there's a chance that you might save a bad persons life, but for every bad person saved, there are thousands of innocent and good people being given another chance.
@@BeyondAverageSkilled what if criminal’s approach to life changes after this act of generosity.
What if he turns out to be of great help to ur family someday .
Or what if he is declared brain dead someday in future but has signed organ donation form ,
Dude there are infinite possibilities please don’t narrow down ur approach to life .
I hope u have a beautiful day .
Look at that man's posture and the way he is carrying himself. He is oozing confidence!
You can tell from Mom's face just how grateful she is. Beautiful!
The mum's reaction was priceless.
My father had a liver transplant two years ago. The liver was donated by my aunt. Now my father and aunt are well. Please pray for my father's longevity
@braindead sheep The doctor cannot make a liver from nothing. He still needs a liver piece from the the patient's aunty. Otherwise the doctor could not save him.
Prayers for your father and your aunty! My brother had a liver transplant in 2021 and he’s doing great!
I donated marrow 1993; #4 in SB County, #486 in the US. No fanfare, just the joy of helping someone; oh and 32 gallons of blood donated too.
that's so awesome man! And 32 gallons, holy shit! The amount of lives you've saved, and families you've helped is insane. May I ask how long you've been a donor? And is 32 gallons in whole blood donations, or variety?
I've only donated 1.5L of blood so far (little under half a gallon), but signed up to become a plasma, platelets and bone marrow donor. Currently am unable to donate though, due to the fact I am prescribed Vyvanese for my ADHD, which gives me a 72 hour 'ban' :(
I hope to not need the medication in the future, because I've known since I was 13 I wanted to donate. Can't wait until I hit a milestone as cool as yours!
That's amazing ! At the same time this video is inspirational for some good people who would like to be donors but , caught up with life. Kind of jogs them up...
Man what a great story. I just received a kidney 2.5 months ago from an angel.
I signed to be a potencial donor when I was 18 y.o. but now I'm quite old so I guess I won't have that joy. Many liters of my 0 negative blood have collaborated to restore the health of many people though but I never will know who. Blood is not payed in my country, Spain, but my conscience is peaceful.
I too signed up to be a donor but other than blood I was never a match for anyone in need. Thank you for volunteering anyway braddah :)

I think he will make a good doctor, God bless him for what he done for this child.
I had my BMT a year ago, I dont know who my donor is but the Doctor told me He/She came from America and Im in Australia. I want to Thank Him/Her but the Doctors couldnt give me any personal information about the person.
Thank you to my Donor and to all the other Donors out there.
If you take a DNA test on Ancestry or whatever you will match her relatives and you can get in contact that way :) . when you have a bone marrow transplant you aquire the DNA of your donor for life.
@@ls200076 That is a possibility however if you don't try to contact you won't know. If you contact them and they want nothing to do with you just respect that.
About 20 years ago I was a bone marrow donor. The only thing I knew was that it was a woman. I don't know who she was or where she lived.
About one year later I informed if the woman was oke, if she survived.
Unfortunately she didn't, she died because of an intestinal infection.
I've cried for two days and my thoughts and prayers were with her family.
I hope that when my time is there I have the chance to meet her.
And even it's been a while she is on my mind and in my heart ❤️
This is really lovely :) Humans can be so kind :)
@@badjsarah8495 Thats true too. But I like being reminded about the good ones.
@@TheVoyagers. Yeah you are right. Is why I put "can". Sadly some are not nice
Beautiful gesture to a beautiful little boy; giving him an opportunity to explore and live his life. That's a Loving Heart.
People hugging. Sad that this feels like eons ago.
I literally never cry, at anything, but for some reason stuff like this always gets to me
That's a real hero. The world needs more of this.
I lost my cousin when I was kid same disease ..May Allah bless this Man who save one life. ❤️❤️
Earlier this year my daughter donated bone marrow fluid/cells for a person we were told was in Sweden. I am so proud of her willingness to give of herself. Hopefully the recipient is now alive and well to continue with their life, surrounded by family and friends.
I get the feels goosebumps seeing wonderful stories like this.
There is nothing like a happy and uplifting story to warm the heart in dark times. Made my day. Thanks for posting!
Man i remember when I saved someone's life too with an O- blood donation. His mother's emotions were the same.
Reminds me of when I saved 2 kids with my O- donation. They were very appreciative, both sets of parents.
if it wasn't for cutting edge forward thinking pioneer doctors who came up with bone marrow transplanting this would not have been possible. they are the real heroes.
I know I will likely never be called upon to donate, but I am very proud to have registered to be a donor.
Going thru a series of Wholesome act of kindness videos, These people are too good for this world.
*last year,I my little brothers bone marrow donor.I couldn't stop crying in tears&saying thank you..even if he was soooo annoying*
Doesn't matter how fast he tells you that he studies medicine. He's a hero for ever.
"Felt like you fell down on ice" - From Chicago
Ah... Makes sense lol
Tq to all donors..... You are heroes
I'm thankful to those that donated blood to save my life and to the one who donated bone and tissue so that I could walk again.
Way to go Steven! I’m on the registry excited to get the call to be a match
Let me say that the process for extracting bone marrow is EXTREMELY PAINFUL!!!! You have to be awake for the procedure, so for him to do that for that kid is AMAZING!!!!!!
Not true, good local anesthetic takes away the pain, lots of pressure for about 10 seconds.
I dont know how these great people can be complimented.
I was on the marrow registry for decades n never had a match. I have since suffered some pretty extreme health issues and can no longer donate. This story is awesome.
Videos like this give us hope that the world still has hope this man is a hero and that boy is stronger knowing thanks to people like him he can get stronger and stronger
Steven we are proud you are real hero and philanthropist , you save life of cute kid, and everybody will learn it from your humanity, I form India
Beautiful child and mom - she knows her baby will be okay. What a nice story.
When Owen's mom was crying...it started raining here. Oh wait, I'm indoors
I swear when ever I see such videos..it make be believe that humanity still exist..
Great job. Nothing is more important than kindness.
The one time the husband is probably glad to see his wife hug another man.
God bless you for helping a sweet boy 💖💖💖🙏
I've entered my DNA in the Be The Match registry several years ago. Hopefully, I can help save someone's life one day.
Way to go! You're helping save lives, my friend. Hope you have a great day :)
Respect God bless them all, especially the Doctors who as allways did an Amazing Job
He’s truly human ❤️
Thank you for giving this sweet boy such a
"treasured gift." LIFE!
OMG this just melts my heart.
Beautiful and lovely human beings. I also had tears of joy in my eyes. I hope the little boy will grow up without any issue. Amen,
So cool. Thank all who volunteer to be a donor. You never know who you may save.
Even donating blood feels divine though I hardly ever get to meet my recipients. Bless the people who donate parts of their vital organs.
My first power red was given to a young girl that was in a horrific car crash and she couldn't survive without a transfusion. I got a card almost a year after that donation, from the girl saying her thanks. I keep giving. My first platelet donation was just this past Monday
AMAZING!! HOW LUCKY TO BE ABLE TO HELP SOMEONE ELSE LIVE.
That doesn't know what he did but parents knows how great the man is❤❤😊

Awesome story !! So nice to see something uplifting and positive.
Recently I sent my sample for be the match, its a simple mouth swap that you send, and everything is done by mail, easy and simple, but imagine what an affect it can have.
This is heartwarming as well as awesome.
Brother ur the real hero. God bless you. Please come forward to help this kind of needs.
Thank you Sir, you are a true Hero....
The heroic qualities are rare in others people.. Salute and respect to sir..
I wish the news would try to make things like this more of a focal point. This makes me so damn happy man. Also I knew someone who had to go through this procedure and the unbelievable amount of pain he went through to donate makes this so much more amazing.
What a beautiful story
Some people are like gold! Bravo! You are my hero!
Some people are born to save others ✌🏾
Anyone who donates bone marrow is a fucking hero.
Crying tears of joy .
Beautiful humanity .
How can this not bring a tear to your eye?
Great guy and a happy ending for this poor little boy !
I am so happy to hear that the little kid wants to be a doctor.
It's so easy to be tested and put in the registry, you just never know who you could save. I am too old to donate but I donate blood [ A-neg] every 8 weeks
Hello Camille, I hope my comment wasn't taken as a form of invasion of your comments privacy. I'm here to make friends, how are you? Where are you from?
The right kind of guy to become a Doctor.
My coworker is about to donate marrow and besides doing it because it's a good thing to do I asked him if there was any incentives or benefits and he said no not really. If donating blood can get you a free pint of ice cream I feel like donating bone marrow should get you free medical for a year or something. I know people should just want to donate from the kindness of their hearts oh, but if they were to incentivize donating more then I guarantee people would jump in line to donate.
Thank you so very much ❤️❤️
Thank you, Owen.
This is great it help save life for young kids.❤
Not all Heroes wear capes 🙌 and Thank You for your donation ❤ 🙏 and Respect 🎱 ❤ 💙 ♥ 💖
Just beautiful thank you so much

Such a cute little boy! Good on that guy!
Guys please understand that sometimes we sit amongst people and we put on earphones and people get shocked when we start crying 😢
One of the few things corporate media has done that’s truthful.
He is an angel.
Its enough to make a grown man cry
Big heart❤ man, a huge respect....
Your a great man and a wounded full Doctor 👏👏👏👏👏🇬🇧👍
Nice gesture. If I gave bone marrow to that kid, he might feel tired all the time, want to take frequent naps, and want to sit at his computer for most of the day.
The ultimate gift.
God bless u
Oh these scenes never get old 💕❤️
thankyou
Wow, bone marrow donation is no joke. What a man.
I just lost a cousin to a severe brain injury last week. He's already saved lives by donating his kidneys, liver and heart valves.
What a beautiful gift, may he rest in peace x
I'm so sorry for your loss and grateful his passing gave others life and hope.
Great job...
Such a good thing to do
sorry to hear about the loss of your cousin
