My jeep, M151A2, didn't have a straight line on it from so many jump mishaps; it was one of the most tactical vehicles in the Army at the time. Miss you.
Funny you mention that. Stationed at Ft Benning GA in 1964, 29th Inf. Took us out to Decker Strip to watch low level heavy drop of trucks on wooden skids. Turns out they were looking for volunteers to ride in the trucks for future test drops. Didn't get a single volunteer from our company and we never heard any more about this. Screw that!!!
The date, 1987, summer time. We were at Pope Air Force Base for an Air Force Army Ori. The 130s were doing low levels and dropping whatever they were dropping. One went to low hit the ground and into the trees. I believe most of the crew were killed.
It works best if the plane can be rolling on the runway. Old videos done during the Vietnam war several successful drops are shown at Kason. The vehicles mounted to the aluminum plates dropped by parachute that turned over turn over because of the bounce from the rubber tires. The rubber tires are like a spring. Some of the vehicles had large tires this cheated more spring effects.
I see blood pressure rising. I see trouble on the way. I see fussin' and fightnin'. I see bad times today. Don't go around tonight Well there's bound to be a sight There's a bad mood on the rise. I hear tempers a blowing. I know intervention's coming soon. I fear tears are over flowing. I hear a voice mad and out of tune. Refrain Let's spend some time apart -- together. Let's spend some asking ourselves, why. Looks like we're in for nasty weather. One eye's been taken for an eye.
yeah some of those were painful, can you imagine spending all that hard work going through training, finally become a pilot and fucking up like that. Sucks to be him is what I can say lol
@dipstick3031 Maybe...however, can you sell that to the Air Force whose planes and aircrews would then be sitting ducks, thus potentially denying the Army any future airlift capability?
Former 82nd ABN paratrooper here.(2000-2004) Seen a couple of HD's gone bad. One a 155mm Towed Howitzer, which left the DZ looking like a cartoon after a parachute malfunction, and the other a HMMV. The chute cigarette rolled upon exit and it hit the ground like a 500lb bomb. All you could see was a huge cloud o dust with four tires shooting out like shrapnel and skipping across the DZ at 100mph. Laughed our asses off!! The truck sat in the M-pool for a month, then off to the impact area.
1964-1968 I was 101st An. Jumped all over, Europe, Asia and US. Proof that you need no special training to fall out of a perfectly good airplane with a good parachute on your back. If you have the guts, anyone can do it.
Yeah,I remember when my scout jeep splattered on Holland DZ,total parachute malfunction, investigation revealed riggers forgot the to rig the parachute to the main load?😂.glad they didn't JMPI my parachute.
I hit a FLA parked on the DZ during jump school in Sep 01. A black hat came running at me like Usain Bolt doing the 100 - then when he saw I wasn't dead - he started screaming at me. MF! Well it was a T-10 and the wind was 14.9 like always.

The C-5 drop is clear proof of the old saying "Everything in the US Army inventory is air droppable--- once!"
THAT JEEP AT 1:21 WAS LIKE "FUCK THIS SHIT! I'M OUT OF HERE!"
Wasn't a jeep, it was a fork lift - the fastest fork lift in the history of the world. Give some respect for the 150 mph forklift!
from me, the soldier, on the ground, excited about out long awaited delivery... oh... thanks Airforce
I had often wondered what it would be like to ride a slide-out load from the back of a C-130 ... seeing these accidents I'm glad I never tried.

I'd call the runaway vehicle drop a success, not an accident. So what if they have to walk an extra mile to go retrieve it, lol.
So from now on this will be on everyone's recommendation
all hail the algorithm, and see you here in another 4 and 8 years!
one pixel dropped another pixel and some guy sang into a coffee can. great party!
Very funny video. I like the vehicles that escaped from the pallets, and the chute that deployed just after the load slammed into the ground.

Legend say that vehicle is still running.
the deadman tie on the parachute either snapped or was loose, causing it to swing.
US Air Force needs to stop signing military contracts with Acme Inventions.
Treblaine But Acme was the low bidder...
But it always worked for the Roadrunner.
Haha lol. Can you imagine being the cargo unloader or the pilot.lol
"Their goes another one."
Trooper that slammed into pickup truck at DR's office: "Where does it hurt?" "I don't think any part of me doesn't hurt"
I wonder how much the US Gov wastes on these accidents. It's almost like they enjoy dropping crapp from planes and seeing them break!
Man that was the funniest thing I saw in a while!
You have to admit the jeep was quite funny, there's no stopping it. Obviously it was an anti-war jeep.
I just realized; this is one of the first videos on youtube

Go Jeep Run Free! GO JEEP, BE FREE! What a bleep'in Riot! That has got to be the Funniest I've ever seen!
i love that Forklift Roling after being droped !!!
The army has made some "oopsies" in its time...
so this is why Airborne units new "toys" dont last so long...
I have only witnessed one drop from a C-130 and that was at an air show... apparently the parachute only deals with deceleration, not stability. :)
LoL that was too funny..."Dont land on my truck"
This shit was uploaded less than 4 months after the first UA-cam video
It looked so easy in Fast and furious. lol
This video is 16 years old.
Feel sorry for the last guy that smacked into the side of the PU...Damn that had to hurt !!!
Same here
my dad said when he was deployed in the Philippines they would steal the parachutes as soon as the stuff was dropped.
Note: When parachuting, jump separately from your heavy equipment.
Bad Moon Rising. Great song.
That is the best quote EVER.
thats probably the fastest that front loader will ever go
1:12 god i laughed so hard there XD epic win :D
anyone know how fast that truck was going
when it first got dropped ?
looked like 200+mph!
and the last scene was perfect too..
Probably, that thing just kept going lol
yes even better than the person hitting the truck at the end,
1:15 fastest de-rig ever
That car was moving like a farm dog does when it touches the electric fence!
Bad day playing with gravity.
🎵There’s a bathroom on the right🎵
And some say Submarine duty is dangerous!
SSN ‘83-‘88
I'd like to see the guys faces that are saying "shit, that was our ride......"
Woop...Woop...Woop...pull-up...pull-up...pull-up.
They sure did not drop any of the tax payer`s money into the pixel program.
i'd be laughing if were on the ground when the truck ran off the pallet.
great vid mate funny stuff
well partice makes perfect there, that truck was funny just drove it self off. oh that sucks about hitt that parked truck too lol
Hello, are you still around?
they sure have fast jeeps

Great video!!
man when that truck kept goin wholly shiiiit!

I enjoyed the video but was thinking about the cost of the equipment like helosix suggested.
GB
indeed,same as "Military intelligence"
prolly just some lock that was left on when it was parked
Wil Coyote's platoon... ;-)
how much wind u think there would have to be to lift up tht truck
yeah some of those were painful, can you imagine spending all that hard work going through training, finally become a pilot and fucking up like that. Sucks to be him is what I can say lol
1:12 FREEEEDOOOOMMM
What they didn't show was it moving off screen and demolishing the only pub for 100 miles :D
So does this happen often? You could imagine the soldiers just going "Yep - there goes another one we could've had".
Nah, it's pretty rare tbh
@dipstick3031 Maybe...however, can you sell that to the Air Force whose planes and aircrews would then be sitting ducks, thus potentially denying the Army any future airlift capability?
🎼 Hope You 🎶, you got your things together 🎵!!!., …. 🟰 🔝 on point! 🤣‼️✌🏼
In that case i think the best place to fall is a tree
haha, 1:15 the truck pops off the skid and rolls away

are you still active on this account do your knees hurt from airborne
Hey, they get it right most of the time.
There are a lot more vids showing how our boys do it right. Maybe some of you should go check those out. Just a thought.
Did that last guy end up being ok ??? Hope so. God bless
some of these were just such "fail" moments i had to laugh :P
Airborne, airbroke
well considering it didnt slow down much coming out of the plane, my bet would be in the mid 100's lol
Good video. Hello from russian paratroopers! :-)
no wonder you guys spend so much on your military ! :)
my wife said why don't they just land for a second. save of parachutes and you could drive the trucks off... but i thought "nah that's no fun"
Hi... someone know the title of the song ?
Tank' you.
I love this video :)
Don't land on my truck!
Un mega jeux de foire de casse boîte 😂
what if a plane got stopped by a catterpillar
is that truck dribing backwards or what?

Lol nice vid
because they are expensive, dangerous, and unnecessary. these clips are rare occurrences.
oof! that last one!
Yeah,I remember when my scout jeep splattered on Holland DZ,total parachute malfunction, investigation revealed riggers forgot the to rig the parachute to the main load?😂.glad they didn't JMPI my parachute.
how often does things like this happen?
I watched our battalion commanders jeep burn in at egland air force base in 82
