A better way to add your jump rings is to twist them to the side. Do not pull apart and you will have a stronger ring that will not warp or come apart.

How many of the chip beads and the bicone crystal beads do you need to make this sized Sun catcher? I don't see anywhere where it says how many beads you need for this project. I have looked at several videos for Tree of Life suncatchers and I really like the shape and colors in yours. It looks very pretty!
Thank you so much! Michael crafts has them in a 4 strand bunch, you can get 2 sets to be on the safe side. There really not expensive at all. that should be plenty for this size ring. The crystals you don’t need alot maybe a strand with 15 should do it.

I have a 7 inch ring. How long should I cut my wires for a 7” ring. I’m new to this and excited to learn from you. I love your videos you explain everything in detail. Thank you so much
I’ll be creating the new video today, but in the meantime the safest is to have more wire than less. So you should cut the wire to 18 inches. Since you will be doubling it as shown on the first tree of life video. I cut them alittle to short.
Hi Kath, If you go to a local craft store you can find a good 24 gauge wire. Try to find one that is tarnish resistant. You can also purchase a good jewelry/craft wire on Amazon or Walmart.com. You do not need to use the exact material’s I use on this project. 😊
How do you think the tree would look if rather than using the lovely pink beads, you use green, as in leaves, including the white beads as fruit? Just wondering. I think your original is beautiful! Please share your feedback.
Hello and thank you so much for your comment, I also think that any beads for tree of life or gemstone would be beautiful! However, you do decide to make it please share a photo with me. I would love to see your work. My email address is in the description of every video. Thank you again so much.🤗
Its better to have the wire longer than shorter. So just double the length and add 5 inches. 6 inch ring x 2 = 12. Add the 5 inches and its 17 inches long. How many, depends on what chips or beads you’re using, and how thick you want your trunk. If all the beads start to crowd, you can cut one from the branch and continue
Twist 2x 5 then in the middle twist 2 x4 which leaves 6 on left and 6 on right seperate int 2 x3 each side , how can you have 9 sets of 3 ? Please tell me how she ends up with 15 branches?

Ok, I’ll try to explain. I’m by no means an expert on this, so when I start to make any project, if I find that I have to many, or to few wires, I’ll just try to correct it as I work on the video. I have that many wires because I don’t want the trunk to look skimpy. So if I wanted all the gemstones to look uniform on the ring, I had to cut a wire off. It doesn’t affect the branches at all. How you determine this is by doubling the length of the wire, and adding at least 5 more inches to compensate the chips added and the ends being twisted around the ring to secure it. 5 inch ring- 15 inch wire length 7 inch ring- 19 inch wire length 10 inch ring- 25 inch wire length
No, you have to be your own judge on this stone & wire art. If your stone chips are going to be too crowded at the tree trunk, it’s ok to cut one of the wire’s off of that branch. Best advise, use the smallest chips at the bottom (near the trunk). 👍🏻

7 inch ring- 19 inch wire length
