The ideal pitches for a closer is sinker, cut, slide, curve, some sort of change. But with the knuckle build you want some pitches that play off it, like a slider, change, and a cut. Plus you don't need to focus on knuckle control due to how the pitch is. You need to focus on control/velo for your other pitches. Plus you need a balanced perks such as, break, control, and velo to be successful. That's what I did for my custom closer from show 21-23. He won reliever of the year 3 times with an average era of 1. So try that out and slider will be the best in 2-3 seasons
YO MY BROTHER, you added the 3 control perks and became a good pitcher, you take them off and cant throw it where you want it.....put the control perks back on, at least 2
@MightyGoat you see those dark gray circles that have the ball in the middle of them thats the area that even if you throw a perfect pitch it can end up anywhere inside that gray area you want that grey area to be as small as possible and you need to get your walks per 9 up and your control also helps but BB/9 will help also i have had as low as 60 control and had pars that are smaller than yours and also where you put the pitch when you select it also matters too........like your kuckleball is locked in slot 1 the second pitch will be your second most accurate pitch the 3rd slot will be the 3rd most accurate pitce and so on and so forth so the 5th pitch will be your least accurate
Question. Last Slider Johnson build he was tall and it seemed you were pitching a lot better than this build which is short. Does height matter with control as a pitcher?
I would focus on slowing down before you throw the pitch, watch the pitch feedback, a lot of times you do it way to fast and the pitch is down the middle, also you do not need a ton of breaking perks, try to add more control you were pitching better with them, maybe you can also try a different pitching interface
Bro, forget your screwball and 4 seam. Swap those out with a Sinker and Splitter/Cutter, your fastball averages 90 mph(barely a fastball) with little to no movement
Listen man.. been pitching RTTS for a few years now. When the show wants you to lose - you lose bro haha. Good series man - couple tips I can give you is avoid sliders to opposite handed batters and keep breaking balls and off-speed low so only thing up in the zone should be fastballs. Sinker and splitter are great pitches as well. Also what other guys said - change speeds and locations constantly.
Im pretty sure cutter > 4 seam with your stats. they usually dont hit it hard with all that break. Splitters work well unless you leave them up. Also, day 985 of telling Mighty to put on battle tested and never remove it.
That was more than a rough start to the season bro. Like your biggest issue is that you throw the same pitches in a row every single time. You aren’t playing off the knuckleball right as a knuckle ball pitcher. i enjoy your vids, but this one was rough. and why would you remove your control perks.
You can get traded after your first and second years in majors. You just have to be valuable enough that other teams want you. Also, if you can’t locate your pitches, that is because of bad control…not break..You are so frustrating to watch, sometimes 😂
I’ve been slacking I had no idea that was a thing this year. That’s pretty stupid 😒 I wish they’d lead the game alone. Only thing I’d be for is them using the electronic strike zone instead of umps.
@@khiddsmoke yea i mean it’s all about more offensive games which i get, but that only really interests the casual. sadly casuals is where money is made, you see it in every major sports league these days.
You're probably going back to the minors soon. The issue isn't so much your pitches themselves but that you're throwing so many of the same in a row and where you're aiming. Your control is garbage right now so no matter where you aim, it's not going to be where you want.
It's not the four seam that is the issue, it's your pitch sequencing and location

Outfield walls look weird because it's Wrigley Field in the spring. The ivy is still dormant.
has problem with locating pitches & control. takes off every control perk & throws break perks back on 😂
"My control is gone" Yeah imagine that after you took all the control perks away...tf
YO MY BROTHER, you added the 3 control perks and became a good pitcher, you take them off and cant throw it where you want it.....put the control perks back on, at least 2
You just need a cutter and a different animation where u can throw more perfects
You keep calling him slider Johnson, it’s Knuckle Johnson. He hardly throws a slider 🤣

Wondering why there is no control, after he takes away all his control. Lol
Try watching the demonstration of how to throw the pitch before you throw it helps with timing and accuracy
Get rid of the screwball get cut or sinker to replace that. Plus work on your control velo break
Question. Last Slider Johnson build he was tall and it seemed you were pitching a lot better than this build which is short. Does height matter with control as a pitcher?
That boy getting lit upp
I would try a cutter because of how much you throw the slider
I would focus on slowing down before you throw the pitch, watch the pitch feedback, a lot of times you do it way to fast and the pitch is down the middle, also you do not need a ton of breaking perks, try to add more control you were pitching better with them, maybe you can also try a different pitching interface

“Boys we figured it out”.
Proceeds to change windup and pitches.
“What happened??!!”
If you watch the animations when you pick the pitch it will show you how fast to move the joystick
If you throw 4 seam throw it low and away. Where If they hit it its only a base it
You definitely need a slower pitching stance closers normally have sinker cut and sliders also thats what i got and i have .6 era rn

Cutter instead of fourseam and sinker instead of screwball

Perhaps the best throwing move you can use is Gerrit Cole's animation.
You can't throw high heat at ~90mph man. Once you're fully leveled and bringing 98-99 up there, it'll be way different.
The cubs outfield walls are supposed to have plants on the
In real life, Mike Trout has never hit a home run against the Pirates so it was good to see him do it in game
Look up past pitchers, either joe smith or tony sipp use one of those
Replace the four seam with a sinker and the screwball with a different pitch
Nice work mighty!
bro, that was like 15 straight kuckles. then getshelled, you need to add back the conttrol perks
pitch in low inside and high outside strike zone. works for me
Screwball is good but sidearm pitchers motion is not good for a screwball.
You was doing good with the control perks
Love your vids
I'm ready for the old Mighty Goat to come back. I like the hitting.
Pedro Martines good pitch
Break 3 control 3 and precision strike
I got traded in MLB21, play like 10 games in AA and got traded to mariners org
Also do the inter squad from the club house for better control
Mighty 6 coming early 😂😂😂
Stick w Tyler Rogers motion, you had the timing down!
I need more control
Proceeds to take off all control perks 😂
Go back to the old motion it was more consistent
I have a Starting Pitcher RTTS my guy is 13-0 with 1.2 ERA and 152 Strikeouts. My guy throws a fastball Slider Changeup Curveball and a splitter
Also on Legend Difficulty

At first, I thought you took the same offer they gave you, but i would have asked for like 100k over, lol

Four seem isn’t the issue. It’s where you are locating it. Stop going to same location everytime.
i love your videos mighty
Need to equip with socks, wristbands, sun glasses etc
Thanks Mighty!
4 seam is fine you keep throwing up in the zone. No shit. Its not the pitch its the location
Lol dude ass retire first it's the motion, then it's the pitches, next it's the batters just go back to hitting 😂😂
Pure analog is the way. Pin point is trash this year
Try Using Felix Hernandez
Imagine if slider gets the delivery man of the year (he might!!)
How do they always end up on second base in extra innings even though you pitched the inning before is that a bug?
It’s a new MLB rule
extra innings rule. base runner starts off at 2nd.
I’ve been slacking I had no idea that was a thing this year. That’s pretty stupid 😒 I wish they’d lead the game alone. Only thing I’d be for is them using the electronic strike zone instead of umps.

@@khiddsmoke thats been a thing for two years now i think possibly more
Yes another banger
Great new deal
You threw 7 knuckle balls in a row and you thought no one was gonna hit off it?😭😭😭
Not a good start to the season for sure
Orioles orioles they need a closer
😂😂😂
us meter pitching, NOT what you are using.
The motion your using is way to damn fast
You’re pitch sequence and your location needs to improve my boi
w vid
go back to trevor rogers pitching motion
Mighty what the hell is wrong with you brother? Put your control perks back on. Gee I wonder why you’re having trouble locating?
Complains about no control. Takes control perks off.

Get rid of the knuckle ball please
