Lehman is my grandmother's favorite catalog store. She was living off of the grid even though she owned an electrical plant and sold electricity to the neighbors. She rarely used it for herself. She ended each day using homemade candles. She prepared me for the future and I am grateful for her talents.
Justin, Rebecca and Family, It sure was wonderful to see all of you at Lehmens last Friday. You surly are the real deal. Thank You so much for the cast iron lid. We use it every day and YES we think of you every time we use it. Thanks for all your videos we just love them. God Bless! Chuck and Mary!
I wish we had a Lehman’s in Australia! I cannot for the life of me find big, super deep cast iron pans here to go on my wood oven. I saw so many things I’d love to have on our off-grid farm. Such an awesome store.
Best video. I liked how many customers would walk up to you and family just to say hi. How easy it was just to talk to you. God bless you and your family.
I live in Darwin, NT, Australia I’ve watched you guys for sooo long you’ve inspired me so much! Thank you. Since watching you even in my harsh climate I’ve managed to start my lil farm and veggie patch I can’t thank you enough xx
So many things that made my heart melt….you get a shopping spree and give money away….the family that you gave the lifetime membership to, how touched the woman was (you guys know how hard it is…)….Homesteaders are frugal and don’t take advantage….Thank you for remembering the struggle is real living this life, and gifting smiles!!!!!
I love this. The first video I ever saw by you guys was you shopping in Lehmans. This was a sweet reminder. I love your family. You are raising wonderful children. Thanks for sharing your life.
You and your family are such a blessing. It's amazing to see someone give the way you do. To see the shock on some of their faces was priceless, expecially the family you gave the lifetime membership to, amazing! I pray God blesses you and your sweet family abundantly.
We love going to Lehman's. We love the unique root-beer flavors they sell, the canning supplies, all the gadgetry household and woodworking, and the friendly customer service that is always helpful. Glad you were able to go and share your blessings with others.
Rebekah, you are a Boss!! Shopping and nursing and thinking ahead and all that . . . you rock, sister! This was a fun trip. Glad y'all could see some of the people who respect your work.
Lehman's is certainly a shopping experience. I got to visit the store last year and am looking forward to my next trip. They have EVERYTHING and more for the homesteaders!
We went to Lehman’s in April. I spent $500 without even looking the whole store over. Spent most of it on canning items. We were going back home to NY from our trip to Tennessee and went home through Kentucky and Ohio just to go to Lehman’s. We were exhausted by the time we got there. It was a Saturday so they were closed the next day. We want to go back. Also want to go to Jungle Jims.
I just love Lehman's- I lived off grid for many years, and lived near Amish communities. Lehman's is my favorite catalog/store- Thanks for sharing your wonderful outing!
I love shopping Lehman’s online! i could totally relate when Becky said she’s been eyeballing the SS cake pan with lid online for a long time lol. I’ve been wanting that same pan for at least 2 years! Such a great store!
Thanks for sharing the great shopping spree! It would be hard to choose what to get in all those goodies! Bless you & your good hearts for being generous! 🤗❤️🇨🇦
After watching your family at Lehman’s a few years ago, I went online and bought a fruit picker and some other things from their store. I think of the Rhodes family and Lehman’s whenever I’m picking fruit. And my daddy, who fashioned his own to harvest plums in the backyard, many years ago. 🧡
Hey Rhodes family! Your looking healthy and happy keep it going guys love , appreciateand utilize every video produced so far I get at least one thing from every one .
Welcome to Ohio! 💗💐💗 Lehman"s is amazing! I have loved them for decades ❤ I am so happy you enjoyed your shopping trip! We adore our Amish communities! Safe travels!
I have the 15" Lodge Cast Iron Skillet and the glass lid. I love it! It's almost as big as a griddle. I use it for Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls and Cast Iron Pizza.
I loved watching you shop. I would love to see what you would buy at an antique tool store or farm auction. Thank you for sharing your shopping spree money with others. You are all so sweet!
I have a manual mower. I'm 69 and can't pull the cord on regular mower. Thank you for showing us how to survive . I grew up on a farm and learned and am using my raising every day.
We had a lot of fun at lehmans this weekend and it was a true bonus getting to meet you and hearing your stories. Hope the little guy is feeling better after his Little tumble.
I love my push mower! It can cut grass up to 10" or so it even cuts through thicker weeds. It's quiet and I've never had any issues sharpening the blades. I wouldn't use it for than a half acre area tho, it would take too long. But it's wonderful for making grass clipping mulch.
I've been wanting one for ages. I have, to date, found not one single person to discuss the pros and cons with. Reviews are often biased and paid for. I like to actually, old school, TALK to humans who have experienced the things. No person that I've reached out to has ever used one. Right Now, we have 2 zero turn mowers that are broke down. I think it would be perfect for mowing around the garden, the mulch bins, the greenhouse, and the house. Just so I can see where I'm walking.
@@jannafolsom1069 I picked mine up on Amazon 6 years ago. It's a 20" Scotts Classic Push Mower and it's green, it was the highest rated one there at the time. I bought it so I could mow a small, suburban lawn and have held onto it since. My original thought was to use it between my new raised beds when we moved. I haven't been able to do use it in that fashion yet. My other motivation was I have a special needs adult in my house and the motorized push mower scared her due to the noise and my husband was working graveyards at the time, I didnt want to wake him up while doing yard care. My middle child was using it at age 8 and enjoying it. The down sides are that it's only as strong as the person pushing it, you will have to sharpen and adjust blades, wet grass can get stuck but no more so than with a motorized one and there's a sweet spot in regards to speed. You have to find that yourself through trial and error. It does take more time to mow too. Also, you will still have to edge, there is about 1.5" gap due to the tires and edge of the rotary. Upside is, you can mow around small animals that frighten or stress easily, gardens and those odd, narrow spaces every yard has. I will have to go back over certain areas that have super thick grasses but I would have to do the same thing with a motorized one. If you have anymore questions, feel free to hit me up here, I will happily answer them. 😊
Fun!! Lehman's has some great sales so It's worthwhile to get on their email list. I've not been there in person but I shop their online catalogue. Also lodge has great cast iron made in the US. Much of Lehman's cast iron is made by Lodge.
I visited there a few years ago. Amazing place. Bought my Lodge Dutch Oven there. It happened to be Monday /Laundry day, so all of the houses had their laundry out drying on the lines.
We have one of those giant stainless steel bowls. I love it. It’s great to stir potato salad or macaroni salad without having all the stuff fall out of the bowl. I use it all the tim
We used to wax the floors in that store when I worked for a local cleaning company. Two nights in a row and all night both nights to get it all done but actually one of my favorite places we went. Fun to look around while we were working. Thanks for reminding me about this really unique place.
My wife and l grew up near Kidron. We still have family there. Lehmans is huge now a days but dont sell half the off grid stuff they used to. There is so much thats no longer available. They used to sell gasoline powered refridgerators and wash machines! Parts for Hoosier cabinets. The last time we were there, we couldn't even find lamp oil and wicks! Perhaps they were out, the sales lady just shrugged. Anyway, we still enjoy going there when we can. I usually enjoy watching the g scale train near the creek entrance. Sometimes its running, sometimes its not. Thats funny how you pronounced Kidd-ron. Enjoyed the video!. Hope the little one is doing well.
Your splitting mall is the best brand you can buy. I bought the small tree axe 6 years ago and sharpened it and have not had to touch it with regular use ever since.
I absolutely love Lehman's. Over the years I have probably bought several thousand dollars of essential items from their catalog. I made one trip to the store in Kidron, but the 1400 mile drive to get there means that I probably won't get back there soon.
As a fun FYI: I use the Lodge 17" skillet on my 26" Weber kettle to make my chili. I use this method to smoke every stage of my chili creation. Mmmmm, GREAT!
I've been going into Layman's since I was a little boy. About 30 minutes from my house. Jay Layman was a prince of a man, you could go in here and he was always floating around in your back in the day and would always take time and talk with you. His family was wonderful people. Would always take the time to help you, if not he would guide you to somewhere in the area that had what you were looking for wonderful people
I grew up as a kid on a farm called Lehman Brothers Farm was the best time of my life running through the cornfields running down to the river and fishing for trout catfishing at night hunting on the property putting up Duck blinds chasing the goats chasing the field mice rolling in the hay eating hot peppers out of the garden and running home to the house that was built in the 1890s you could put your ball on the floor and it would roll to the other side of the house I love that house it's what turned me on to antiques because of all the old stuff in it I remember looking at the insulation in the walls and it was 1899 newspaper you could still read the ads
Hey guys , we travelled there from PA after landing from Ireland , and yep im Irish and drove lol. Had seen doug an Stacey and got interested in off grid. So the wife and i travelled from here in Ireland and loved Ohio. we will defo be back.
What a fun video! I love Lehman and have been saving for the off grid washing machine(?). It’s just hubby and I now so it’s doable. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with all of us.
Shopping and nursing happened for me in '85/'86. Also waiting for a passport in Rockefeller center and nursing.. and bonus points.. nursing during October fest in the Hoffbrau house in Munich.
We live near Lehman Store. And I find it a Treasure trove. If you're trying to fix something they really go out of their way to try to help you find what you need. It also has many interesting things on display to view history.
We wanted to come to see you but the whole family got sick. Hopefully we’ll catch you on your next visit. We’ll be going shopping soon. God bless you all
I'm ready for a 3 hour road trip from southern Ohio to Kidron! It's been a few years since we visited and I love perusing the isles! We bought our large kraut crock and weight there on the last trip!
We haven't been to Kidron in a couple of years. But, we're due to see Lehman's again. Probably looking to get oil lamps and other things to make the future uncertainty a little easier. Plus , I can't get good suspenders anywhere else.. See you soon
I am not off grid and lehmans has tons of stuff that I need. Or maybe its tons of stuff that I want. I am not near Lehmans store, but i have worn out their catalogs and stalked their website for years.
I worked for Lehman's for 15 years, before my wife and I started our own business. We actually met working there haha, good family and good people to work for. Just recently changed ownership. The new owner is very similar in values and belief, and was good friends with the Founder.
Justin, you and Rebekah are so kind and generous! You all would love Hartville Hardware! Just a short drive from Kidron, Hartville is a pretty amazing small town (I may be biased...we live there!) and the Hardware is largest independent hardware store in the United States and operates on a foundation of faith, family and integrity. HRM recently purchased Lehman's and together they are a retail powerhouse! Next time you're in Ohio, plan a stop in Hartville and come visit us at Headwaters Homestead. God bless!
Lehman is my grandmother's favorite catalog store. She was living off of the grid even though she owned an electrical plant and sold electricity to the neighbors. She rarely used it for herself. She ended each day using homemade candles. She prepared me for the future and I am grateful for her talents.
Off Grid with Doug & Stacy did a similar video they must pay homesteaders on YT for these infomercials.
My favorite store as well..
Justin, Rebecca and Family, It sure was wonderful to see all of you at Lehmens last Friday. You surly are the real deal. Thank You so much for the cast iron lid. Justin & Rebecca ... your Genuine Generosity just makes my day every single time!
$50,000 to spend there would not be enough for me. I would go wild and stay wild until I left. Its better than a casino.
Thanks for all your sweet comments about Lehman's! We really appreciate it and love working with the Rhodes family!
You blessing people as you go around seriously made me cry happy tears. Yall are such a blessing to the world!! Much love!!
Thank you Rhodes family for sharing your life with everyone in the world.
Our pleasure!
When you’re a homesteader, your version of celebrity is not the same as everyone else’s! 🙌 I need to visit this store!!
The Rhodes family makes my heart smile every time!❤️ thank you all for sharing your blessings and journey with us.
I wish we had a Lehman’s in Australia! I cannot for the life of me find big, super deep cast iron pans here to go on my wood oven. I saw so many things I’d love to have on our off-grid farm. Such an awesome store.
Agreed Australian has nothing like this! It would be so good!
… But I mean we do have health care so that’s a plus haha 😂
Yep, unless the government decides you are done.
Aussie Disposals
Lodge makes their cast iron. Their site is fantastic!! Of course you have much God given beauty in your country!
@@bettyjoy6361 we have healthcare too🤣 probably more accessible actually. Only the left media would tell you otherwise
I use old porcelain saucers as crock weights. They are usually made of food-grade material, and they are large enough to submerge foods when pickling.
Smart!
That is a great idea! Thank you for sharing it!
Best video. I liked how many customers would walk up to you and family just to say hi. How easy it was just to talk to you. God bless you and your family.
I wanted to cry when you gave that family a life time membership to abundance plus. SO SWEET!
Lucky 🍀 a grand spending spree ! 😊
Loved watching you bless others. That’s what we need more of, genuine people connecting with each other.
We love going to Lehmans. It's a couple hours from our home, but we go every year, at least once! Seeing y'all there was quite a treat!
I live in Darwin, NT, Australia I’ve watched you guys for sooo long you’ve inspired me so much! Thank you. Since watching you even in my harsh climate I’ve managed to start my lil farm and veggie patch I can’t thank you enough xx
Ya'll are such a blessing to soooo many. My hope for you and your family is that you are blessed beyond your dreams!
Justin, you are so sweet and generous .
I love all the stuff you are getting for your shopping spree.

The look on those people's faces made my day :) The membership was the best gift, I think.
You and your family are such a blessing. It's amazing to see someone give the way you do. To see the shock on some of their faces was priceless, expecially the family you gave the lifetime membership to, amazing! I pray God blesses you and your sweet family abundantly.
Just found your channel and it blessed me watching you bless all the people at the store! Thank you for spreading goodness! Godspeed!
We love going to Lehman's. We love the unique root-beer flavors they sell, the canning supplies, all the gadgetry household and woodworking, and the friendly customer service that is always helpful. Glad you were able to go and share your blessings with others.
WOW!! That was a fun shopping trip, even if I lived it vicariously. What a great store. You all did good in your selections too. 💕
Now that's a shopping spree. Thanks for sharing the love with others.
I bought a large pottery bowl made for bread making from their online store. Very pleased
That was sweet how Johnah got a knife for Josiah. Such a sweet family.
Rebekah, you are a Boss!! Shopping and nursing and thinking ahead and all that . . . you rock, sister! This was a fun trip. Glad y'all could see some of the people who respect your work.
In my first job in book publishing, Lehman was one of my favorite customers. 30 years later thanks to you, I get to visit the store virtually. Thanks!

That is so nice of you to pick up things for these folks!

I loved that store… visited it about a year ago when I was in Athens, OH…. I drove another 180 miles North just to see what they had

I live 45 minutes from Lehmans, love that store!. My friends and I always go shopping in Amish Country in the fall.
I have just stumbled upon you, WOW. I don't even know what you VLOG but loved this one. Can't wait to check you out. Where We Roam Is Home

I LOVE THIS STORE. I WENT THERE YEARS AGO AND I HAVE ORDERED SOMETHING ONLINE. LOVE THEM
I wish we had a Lehmans store here in Ontario Canada!

I've got the Gransfors Bruks Splitting maul, its had a lot of use in the past year since I bought it, does a great job 👍
Geez, we missed you there. We would be happy to see you in person. We love Lehman's....
You would have been amazed by the store before it became modern. Love them. I miss the old store but I enjoy it so much.
I love wandering through Lehman's. So much to see.
I worked for Lehman's for 15 years, before my wife and I started our own business. We actually met working there haha, good family and good people to work for. Just recently changed ownership. The new owner is very similar in values and belief, and was good friends with the Founder.
We need a store like this down n Dallas area please. People could learn from the store. ❤❤❤❤
Now that is a place I would of love to go to when I was younger.
We go to Amish country each winter and always make a trip to Lehman's. It's where I bought my last can opener, Becca:()!
Love the crocodile Dundee reference. I want to visit that store some day but not sure the wife would call that trip a vacation.
Justin, you and Rebekah are so kind and generous! You all would love Hartville Hardware! I'm mighty impressed by that pronunciation of Gränsfors bruk, only the cadence was slightly off.
Oh my gosh that store is amazing. Boy do I wish I lived near by
We can only shop at Lehmans online. Absolutely love Lehmans. You just made me feel as if I was right there.
