- Located in the southwestern Welsh county of Pembrokeshire is the town of Haverfordwest (or Hwlffordd in Welsh).
Although not apparent by its name, it is the county town of Pembrokeshire as well as being the most populous urban area in the county. It is strategically located at the lowest bridging point of the Western Cleddau river, with three A roads leading to and from the town, making it an important road network hub.
The name is believed to be derived from "ford used by heifers", from the Old English "hæfer". "West" was appended on to the name allegedly in the 15th century to distinguish it from Hereford across the border in England.
Haverfordwest Castle, seen just before the 10-minute mark, is of Norman origin, having been built between 1120 and 1290. It was in use up until the 18th century, during which time a part of it was converted to a prison. Today that same part houses the County Archives, whilst the town museum is found within the castle walls.
Haverfordwest is the birthplace of a few notable celebrities including Christian Bale and Rhys Ifans.

Great video thank you. Haven't seen my hometown, Havefordwest, in 23 year's. I miss my home.
I used to study in Pembrokeshire College and lived nearby the Tesco, 15-16 years ago. Watching this video made me missed this place so so so much and reminiscing my old days there.
Pembrokeshire and Haverfordwest always in my heart forever and I won't forget. I hope I would come to this place again one day.

I used to live in Milford Haven and go here on a Saturday night out , best place in the UK with the nicest people , I loved it in Haverford on a night out !

I'm just stopping by to see what Haverfordwest Wales looks like... I recently learned of an ancestor who was born here in Haverfordwest, Wales, July 22, 1876. The town looks lovely and peaceful.

Grew up here in the 1970s and it’s hardly changed at all, although it used to be bustling and all those shops were open and busy. Great trip down memory lane 🙂

i miss this town i grew up here in early 80s late 90s i moved away in 2000 i live in london now. its so much different in haverfordwest i could take a walk through this town say hello to a complete stranger who ive never met before we would talk like we have known each other for 50 years and carry on with your day you will never see that person again. in london if you say good morning to someone they look at you like your a serial killer your a weirdo how dare you say good morning to me. ive been back a few times over the years to visit my dear old mum see some of my old friends some have move on living in different parts of the country but its still some of my old boys still around my wife was quite shocked to hear my old pembrokeshire accent as well over the years i have naturally lost it but for some reason when im back in this town it comes back.

Just auto settings, with an ISO limit of 1600. It's 25fps so I try to pan slowly!
