It's much easier to set up and uses global user variables within Streamer.Bot
This is a tutorial on how to set up a live stream points system for UA-cam using Streamer.bot.

Hi Haunter. I am thinking of installing this on my Streams and was wondering if the tutorial here is still relevant to the updated code? I am noticing the actions are a bit different than what you have in the video here.
That is a great question! The overall structure might be a little helpful, but I would strongly recommend using the instructions on the updated code. I did my best to make it as simple as possible.
The reason I haven't made an updated video is that a new version of Streamer.Bot will be coming soon with BIG changes so I'll be working on a video with the updated UI.

@@haunter56 Haha that is actually one of the reasons I was thinking twice about whether to install now or wait in case you might update it again depending on what the new Streamer bot brings to the table. I installed it eventually and I must admit it was easier than I expected and not only that but I am shocked at how well it works.
I also set up the First Word action to activate a welcome banner in OBS while also doing the point redemption.
If you do get to work more on this and add more features to it maybe you can add a few more options for viewers to gain points like Milestones (depending on the number of hours they watch) and Super Chats... and maybe Members can get a point multiplier

I hope to one day have access to memberships and super chats and things like that so I can be able to test it enough to create some add-ons.

How we can make a limit on using one action at one time so it will not triggers multiple effects at same time?
For that you will want to use action queues. Make sure the queue you set up is "blocking" and then any actions you don't want to run at the same time should be assigned to that queue. That way they will only run one at a time.

Hi Haunter, I was thinking of keeping a record of the points that my viewers gained through live stream, this is because after a month I want to reward the viewers with the most loyalty points. Your help will be highly appreciated. Thank you
It can be done, but you would need to add some extra math in a few places. Pretty much duplicating whenever points get added and making sure they don't get taken away from redeems. If you need help I would recommend joining the Streamer.bot Discord and opening a support post

Hi, I don't know what the focus of your channel is, but you are very smart and I have a recommendation, I recently tried using the "queue to play" extension for the streamerbot. It worked, the commands work very well for those who want to join the queue, but when the bot responds which players are in the queue, it does not return any information. You could do a test or a video about it. There is nothing like it for youtube.
Did you use this version? extensions.streamer.bot/en/extensions/youtube-queue-system
I will test it as well to see if it works or what might be wrong. Is it only the "!position" command or a different command that isn't working?
@@haunter56 The most important command for the streamer I believe is !PEAK because it returns the queue order. I couldn't see it working nor the !pull command, the rest of the commands work perfectly
Weird... I tested it and the only one that didn't work right away was the !position command. Did you make a lot of changes to the commands?
Hi, with regards to the points, is there a way of setting up 'bets' for users to bet their points towards the outcome of a game- say high/low card draw, win/lose my video game etc?

I replied in the Discord, but I have had this on my list for a little bit. I just haven't had a lot of time to think about how to do this. It's possible, it just might need some coding and things.

Hi Haunter! Is there any way to add points to the user who just joined membership, super chat, or gifted membership? If so, I would really love to know how to make the Actions/Commands. Thank you!
Yes. There are triggers for those events which you would be able to use. At the very least you would be able to use the user ID to add points to their user record. If you would like more direct help setting it up feel free to open a support ticket in the Streamer.bot Discord and tag me so I don't miss it. That way we can go into detail with screenshots if needed.
Yesterday I tried to make my BOT WORK, but with no result, I followed the step by step and read the support material.
I was in doubt about the URL of the directories of the files.

Is this to blame for not working? the bot did not respond to the first interaction and did not respond to commands to see the balance of poins for example.
I don't know if in the absence of any dll I could be responsible, so I followed the configurations according to the video, pausing and continuing the video.
I am using only or streamelements
Are other actions and commands working not related to the points system?
@@CapHolandes it's possible that you might have to go into the "Execute Code" sub-actions and click the "compile" button so that it works? I am not sure, but that has fixed other extensions for me before.
@@haunter56 Do I have to do this in all subactions that contain a "js" code?

* Send a message in youtube chat
* Play a specific audio
These actions work perfectly.
The most complex system of actions is precisely the point system.

Did you create a trigger for it? All actions need a trigger and it doesn't automatically create that trigger.

the function "less than" in "Sample Reddem" doesn't work, and the points then go into the negative. Does anyone have an idea about this?
There have been a lot of people using this and nobody has had this problem that I know about. Did you make any changes to the sub-actions when you copied it? I would recommend opening a support ticket in the Streamer bot Discord so you can share more details, your logs, and screenshots of your issue.

anyone wanna help a guy who didint get the rest of the info after 8:18 where its about creating actions for redemptions.. but doesnt say or show how to do it.
Did you see the link to the updated tutorial in the video description? This video is outdated and the written tutorial covers the latest updates. If you still have trouble Discord would be the easiest place to troubleshoot issues
Please help me every time I use my commands it just shows %user% instead of any username and same goes for all commands like %PointBalance%
Did you use the points system from the GitHub? Also, is it the very first time using it? What commands are you using?
Hello, is this extension a variation of the original vrflad extension? I saw in the text block that it is not possible to donate points for watched time, but for comments.
The original extension works for watched time, I don't know if this is something exclusive to twitch.
Did you try to use that vrflat extension in youtube broadcasts?

I added some (not all) functions that VRFlad has for his system like mods and streamer being able to add and set points balances, but it does not work the same.
As far as I understand, it is not possible to keep track of UA-cam watch time with Streamer.Bot so I made this workaround using chats and other things that I was able to track to add points.
I did try VRFlad's extension on my UA-cam broadcasts and I couldn't get it to work. I'm a total noob at all this so I'm sure something better can be made and hopefully this video helps start that process. Thanks for watching! 😁

This is a great idea. I have installed your code and begun to experiment with it on my streams... I would like to generate a "top 5" list of users with the most points. Could you point me in the right direction on how to do this?
There is a Steamer.Bot extension by TerrierDarts that I got to work, but I don't know exactly how.

His is for Twitch, but we have a thread on the Discord for the UA-cam side and I think a couple people have got it to work.

Good question! First, let me just say the system has been updated since this video came out so make sure to check out the new documentation.
To clarify your question - Are you thinking of trying to keep the points between Streamer.Bot and Streamlabs synced together? (StreamElements doesn't have points for UA-cam last I checked) It would be pretty hard because you would have to do a bunch of back and forth between the two systems. I would just use Streamer.Bot because it can do any alerts/animations that Streamlabs can.
Or are you more thinking about viewers being able to keep their existing points? There coild be a way to transfer them to Streamer.Bot.

We all need it, but remember most of the people dont know anything about coding or anything technical, so please make a video that even new person to computer also can understand it. I want to ask that, can we add some special commands like to make a command happen viewers have to buy that thing from store, like we will give points system for all general commands to run on our stream, like play music of laugh, punches, but if someone want to throw tomatoes gif on to our stream they have to pay something and buy that special tomato coupons and he can comment !tomatoes and on our stream there will be a media playing of throwing tomatoes like that.

@@RamboGameplay84 No problem. The new document is MUCH less complex so as long as you follow the steps then you should be able to set it up. I will still try to make a video, but I don't know how soon it will be.
As for the other question, there is a way to have special commands through Streamer.Bot's integrations with tipping sites like StreamElements, KoFi, and others. I may have to think about and make a video for that as well.

You can open the variables window in Streamer.bot and then go to the "persisted user variables" tab and look at viewers points there if that helps. If you are trying to get something like a leaderboard then I would suggest checking some extensions in the Streamer.bot extensions website or in the Streamer.bot Discord server.

Hi, I have a question. I use this system for face filters with snap camera, how can I properly set the subactions in order to not overlap the commands? For example 2 people type at the same time 2 different filters and the second one cancels the first one. How do I make it so when someone in chat uses the command, any other persona that want to use another filter has to wait?
If you are using just one command, you can add a cooldown to the command, but if you are using multiple commands you will want to have them run through a blocking queue. Make sure all the actions are in that blocking queue and that they have a delay added to them for the duration you want it to wait until the snap cam turns off. You can also add a sub-action to disable your snap cam command group until it's done and then enable the command group back on if you don't want the redeems to build up in the queue.

When i try to use the addpoints command it keeps responding with user doesnt exist for every user, the rest of it is working. Any idea why?
the setpoins user command works and so does the first chat just not the addpoints command
Can you send me an example of how you are putting in the !addpoints command? Also, you may have to hit the "save" button if it is a new user

Hey Haunter. I was thinking of creating a Leatherboard so viewers can see who has the most amount of points but I am not sure where the data is stored and how to grab it so I can display it to the viewers. Any help would be much appreciated😁
Good question. There is an extension for doing a leaderboard by TerrierDarts - extensions.streamer.bot/en/home
I think we figured out what needed to be edited so that it works for UA-cam as well, but it is in the Streamer.Bot Discord. If you ping me in there I can find it and show you the post. 😄
@@haunter56 I noticed the Extensions such as Ranks and Leaderboard but it sais you need to have a different Point System installed. Do they also work with your Point System?

i was trying to set the streamer bot for the point reward system a youtuber had explained the video in my native language but it was the old version of the code if you can pls provide the older version of the file thank you....
Sorry, the older versions of the code are not supported. The latest version should work for you.

@@haunter56 yes but it shows trigger command which was not there when I go to core command I get options like set command etc etc
@@Howlin6 Make sure to create the command fro. The trigger section and then once you click on the command will be created and the command will be tied to the action in the triggers section
How do i reset the points for all user ?
You would need to use C# code. There have been some people who have shared how to do it the Streamer bot Discord Server. If you can't find it then you can open a support ticket. 👍
hey there! I was curious because my chat is having an issue where only people who are membered (equivalent to twitch subbed) are the only ones who can redeem their channel points. They can still obtain points by watching the stream but they just cant USE them if that makes sense (unless they become a member) Is this a glitch? Or is it meant to only work for people who are a member to the channel?
It might be your permissions in the Streamer.Bot command. You will want to make sure they are set up correctly depending on who you are "allowing". Also, "subscribers" permissions in Streamer.Bot means "Members" for UA-cam. It's not very intuitive and a lot of people think that permission means UA-cam subscribers.
@@haunter56 yeah I definitely thought that meant UA-cam subscribers! If the options under the command permissions are VIP, Moderator and Subscriber what would be the way to fix that out of those three options? I’ve tried messing around with it but can’t seem to find the way
@@LindzVidzz If you want everyone to be able to use the command, just make sure there aren't any groups in the "allowed' column on the right side. Make sure it's blank and I think you should be good.

Is it possible to make it longer than 10 minutes activity. From what i get if user is inactive in chat for more than 10 minutes they stop getting points can we remove this condition somehow ?
Unfortunately UA-cam doesn't actually share who is currently watching the stream or not. The Present Viewers trigger uses an artificial list created from users who have chatted.
@@haunter56 thanks for quick reply. Is it possible to make the artificial list extend required time between chats. I have lurking stream wit RCE game. So it's rewards based. Can I make it that each user has to chat every 5 hours or so . Or any different ammount of time instead of 10 minutes max slider
You could create an action that isn't tied to the present viewers trigger which makes a list of everyone and then clears the list after 5 hours... It would be a little complicated, but it should be possible.
