Saurus needs end game gear to be viable, not really a great early game champ. By the time you can build him that way you've got much better champs to invest in.
@Josh Strange I guess Ash appreciates pointing out faults by his viewers and I have seen him encouraging us to do these. I have been regularly watching Ash's content for about a year now and did not mean to disrespect him at all.
I had Elhain with a lifesteal set and high Crit Rate as starter which worked very well so i was quite surprise you listed her as 4th of the starting champs
Forget Shaman, the MVP early game reviver that gets NO love is your boy in the Fusion portal, the fat frog himself, Broadmaw. VERY easy to farm and fuse even early game. And he's useful all the way through Faction wars, and a great early game carry.
@@1349-o2m at lvl 35 you can farm them on tag team arena, even at bronze tier 1 you can get atleast 20 frags per week, and you just need 200, so its less than 3 months overall even at the worst possibilities, as long as you fight 10 tag team battles per week that is.
I dunno about everyone else but i'd love to see you start a f2p with someone other than Kael. Every youtuber (barring HH picking Elhain) starts Kael. Its good to see how you can progress after you've picked the wrong champ. Most people, statistically speaking pick someone other than Kael for their first champ. I would love to see Athel myself. Its fairly difficult to pull a weaken champ early game while poisoners are a dime a dozen in shards these days. She has a really bad drawback which you dont realise until you try to speedtune these extra turn champs. SHE TAKES AN EXTRA TURN. Goodbye ALL your buffs on your damage dealer. She is now the CB stun target. She is now the target in waves because she doesnt have shield or defence buffs up because she wasted 2 turns of buffs doing 1 attack. She also LOVES to try and put up her increase attack WEAK VERSION while she already has the strong version active. Especially when theres only 1 turn left so she takes an extra turn and loses 25% attack while also reducing the other buffs by 1 turn.
I do not think, that not picking Kael at the start is not wrong or a mistake. Okay, you might have less damage in cb but you are able to farm campaign. And the rest is just fortune with your shards - I got a frozen banshee for example so I don´t feel sorry for not having Kael.
I have a couple accounts. I use all but gael. Kael is the fastest to farm brutal 12-3. Elhain is the second. Athel is the third since her a1 hits only single target. Kael is also the best in dungeon and clan boss because of the poison - except fire...where athel 3-hit a1 is amazing.
@@00intermilan82 athel is a way better second 60 than a first. She outlasted Kael on my f2p teams clan boss team despite Kael bringing 3-6 poisons every 3 turns
dark Elhain i think have an even more increased value with the doom tower's frost spider. I had her on 5* thinking on max her out. And Jizo is a weird hero. Usually one of the last dying in faction wars, and he is only 5* in my team. Not bringing super control kit, but well enough to mess up the enemy tactics, orders etc. I am still not sure if i like him or not, but always surprising, that he is way better i am giving credit to him.

ASH isn't investing in Yaga on F2P, would rather fully invest in Kael)
The problem with some of the Champs is, that they will only work, if you can max out crucial stats like crit rate. And at the start you might not have the gear for doing that. Thinking of Shieldguard for example who needs 100% crit and high defense. So it will be interesting, which champs will be your real help when you progress. And remember that you have to use your books wisely. As FTP/low spender myself I had little use from the Epic login rewards with the exception of High Khatun. I hope you will pull Hyria and showing her to us, because she was a real surprise for me, how strong she is.
Nice Vid Ash as usual. One thing you will find though when restarting as a FTP is that Stun Gear is not as accessible as you make it seem or remember. When you say that you will put all those early game champs in Stun gear its kinda 'wishful thinking' (remember you wont be able to use your Main accounts gear for it ;)
I Disagree on Kael being best starter when it comes to early game . Athel is better early to mid game , while Kael only gets better towards End Game. Lordly Legionary for the longest time I also tought he's a terrible champion , till I saw LokiMagics video about Banner FW and this guy is amazing there he heals your team while does those conditional 4 hits. Over the time I realised that you need to think outside the box and work with what you got , meaning that all champs are useable if you set right conditions.
Visix the unbowed is truelly a great control champ I might say. Specially if you put Freeze items on her. I'm using her lvl 60 with support and deff build with turn meter manipulation. Really good control
And exactly where do you get that Stun Set for Saurus from, as a beginner who needs to use these F2P champions? *snicker*. Yeah, not happening. But I agree with you on which of those champs are decent, though I don't have the same kind of hardon for Kael (whom I am now running on an alt account so I can compare). I basically figured out who was worthwhile by observing who did what when I was fighting them in the various stages. Who gave me trouble, or what protective abilities for their team did they have? I knew I wanted Valerie (not Valkyrie!) right away, for example. And then she didn't drop for ages, and now it's too late. I wanted Skullsworn as well because he was so ferocious in the Sewers, and he also didn't drop forever, but he needs a lot of TLC before he becomes really useful, which nobody has to give him in early game. I'm using another Lizard, Skinner, in Magic Keep to remove the buffs from the boss queen -- and that taught me all about accuracy and how much it matters even for skills that don't have to proc. Early game you won't have masteries either. You really ought to start an F2P account so you become more familiar with how poor we actually are. ;) 800 gems is a cactusload, and farming Minotaur? Ghods. I gave up on that for my starter. Oh, and it's "Ah-THEL" according to the cinematic intro, not AY-thel. Sounds a lot cooler that way too! Not like a leafy, green vegetable. ;) I was very excited when I got Shaman, but you know what? I didn't actually really start building her because I had super good luck in the last summoning event (Gorgorab and Maulie both), and didn't need Shaman.
Greybeard can tank better by giving him provoke set to synergize it with his counterattack. The reason why want a provoke set even though he has provoke on his first is because his second is an aoe. The point is provoking more and continuing the cycle through counterattack.
The issue with knowing what champions are imp to have is the gears and the time to be spent to have to 60. You don't do them 60 anytime as wait for the right moment when events or tournament show up. It is a real harsh for early players to make it unless pay a little in game. I am a f2p so take it slow and use my patience. I could max master my elhain as a beast when put gears on soon . I'm a pretty big fan of Jizoh though... I have used him to farm food for a while. I'm New to game, and he has solo'd quite a few, I have deflection and defense gear on him. I certainly love shieldguard, he's a fave.
*Warmaiden* is queen of early obtainable F2P heroes. She is viable in few lvl 20 dungeons _(to speed up waves clear)_ , for arena _(in nuker team)_ and for faction wars. If any F2P player just dont know, what do leveling up first, she is here, viable from early to end game. and *High Khatun* is great too, obtainable after 30 days as login reward, great as leader in faction wars, great speed leader in arena and dungeons and she is viable even with booked only A2 skill. ... Spirithost is in my heart as early champion on 50th lvl, great for ATK boost and debuff clearing. In arena she is great, making classic picture: HK (speed) -> Spirithost (ATK buff) -> Warmaiden (decrease defense+dmg) -> NUKER _(Kael/Elhain)_ deleting enemy team :D
Valerie! Yeah! My girl! I nuilt her so well she can outlast even Ronda equipped in Lifesteal gear, Valerie wears Immortal and Regeneration Armor. She's fully booked and Ascended amd not even has all of her Masteries yet and she can go all the way through Nightmare Campaign even at level 50! She's been my #1 defensive support.
Ash, u should mention that dark elhain is very useful in doom tower against scarab king with her a1, and frost spider's freeze esp if u're f2p and still in early game,
Heiress rocks. I put her in a toxic set and use her on clan boss along with Frozen Banshee, Gravechill Killer and Kael. Pretty insane how many poison debuffs it takes.
@@UrbanwarriorTheSOV The some content creators were recently showing off that Sniper has decent damage potential, and is okay as a stun set wearer, so she deserves a mention, if not a whole section to her self in the video. :)
The problem with Athel is that her damage is lacking compared to the other starters. Yeah, she can get an extra turn, but it's much MUCH harder to oneshot the waves with her when compared to any of the other starters. I think her A2 multiplier is 4Atk so if it doesn't kill - good luck with farming fast. For comparison, Kael has 4.65-ish atk, Galek around 4.5 as both have another multi-hitting ability that can be useful for speed farming, but undoubtedly the crown goes to Elhain because she has two AoE abilities. Her Valley of Death hits for 4.4 Atk (the combined of both hits) and her A2 is also another AoE (granted, lower multiplier on the AoE part but it can still oneshot some waves - currently with 4.2k Atk and 140-ish crit dmg, her A2 can oneshot the waves in brutal 12-3). The problem with Kael is that he goes A2 first, probably kills the first wave but his turn meter fill is wasted - he doesn't get that extra turn to reduce his A2 cd if he oneshots the first wave, so in the second wave he uses A3 which doesn't really deal much dmg, then goes A1, and then finally goes back to A3... again killing the wave because the A3 dmg has set it up to be oneshot. Then he has to go A1 into A3 into A2 for the third which is... significantly slower than an example Elhain run - she goes A2 on the first wave, then A3 for the second wave (with luck, we can proc Cycle of Violence to reduce the A2 cd) so for the third, she will just have to A1 once (if Cycle of Violence proc-ed from the second wave) or twice, and she's back to A2 to finish the wave. Much much smoother and faster.
Hi Ash - great video and will help with me running a 2nd FTP account alongside your one What would be a great follow up is who comes next ; on champions from Rare, Epic, Legendary shards - when should you throw away the 10/12 champions you recomment in this video to build up and focus on that Rare/Epic/Legendary instead. Perhaps 3 follow-ups for Rares, Epics and Legendaries. You already said Heiress is good until you pull Apothacary - more like that
The problem with Heiress, she hits like a wet noodle even with best top gear, i would invest in Diabolist instead. You should really invest in any of the champs you mentioned so you have at least 1 good champ who can farm early faction wars. I would lvl them up to 40 lvl so if and when you don't need them any more you can rank them to 5 star and use them as food to make a 6 star. Jizoh is a great tank, he will carry you t all the way to brutal even as a lvl 40, also good for faction wars. In some stages i used Jizoh and Warpriest (both 40) to 3 star campaign on hard.
cool video Ash. I dont share your view on all (esp Jizoh which pulled my entire team for a long time). One mistake though: Ghrush does not decrease Attack and Crit Dmg but or. it's one or the other.... would be awesome to be both!
I didn't take the time to max out any of these Champions. Only got them to Level 3 and 4 stars. Some were also fusion cards that I used for fusing Champions Relic Hunter, Rahzin, and Broadmaw. Working on building up these Champions but seems too many and too long of a time to grind.
I have a lot of time on my hands these days so started a second account, completely f2p. It's crazy how fast I progressed. It's barely been 5 days and I have already complete the first set of arbiter missions, very close to getting kael to rank 6. I'd love to see your f2p account in the future
@@Urickwolf Hey, took me 7 days I guess. I had four 5* food ready, took me two more days to get the last one. What I did is usually not recommended, but since this was my second time playing the game I was pretty sure I didn't need most of the champs. I basically used all champions as food for kael since I knew I wouldn't be using any of them on end game. It might sound stupid but it worked out for me. I'm 40 days in right now and I have 4 rank 6 champions, will do the fifth shortly. I saved up gems and bought masteries on kael and a second champion too, so now I got cb at hard, can 3 key that level. And I'm in silver 4 in arena.
@@amithnair6867 I'm doing that now with the drops from 12-3. Using as food, but the turns for all the leveling get used up pretty quickly lol. I'm working on my last 5* star food, and that's only because I have 2 chickens from different rewards. One person suggested working on food while 2xp is active and masteries when no 2xp. But as I only recently managed to get into a clan, I didn't have much help in my first month. With all the daily summonings, I'm up to my eyeballs in champs, and still working on my core. Minimal progress in dungeons due to spread of team, and stuck on mission for even reaching bronze 3 in arena. So sad. I even accidentally picked the worst starter, Elhain. Some say she good, most say she trash. But I cant get anybody geared properly, cos gear stat never be what I need...or think I need
@@Urickwolf for f2p, kael is the best starter. And yes, you need to level food during the xp boost. The reason I pushed so hard during the first week is cause we usually get a lot of xp and xp boosts during the first week due to constant leveling. You need to focus on only one champ at a time, once you have have that done, aim for two more. I basically did kael and shieldguard. And since pyxniel fusion event was on going, I managed to get that epic dwarf, he's been a great help in dungeons. I started to worry about dungeons only after my xp boost ram out. Till then I only followed the plan as per the arbiter missions. When I knew I couldn't progress any further, I just focused on leveling up kael

luckily i didnt invest in shaman like other poor souls. excellent video however, wish it was up a couple of weeks sooner. hiwever, i disagree on kael. i think for arena elhain is better. in many battles even my heiress manages to stay alive and ultimately even outdps my kael in similar lvl and gear against sturdier comps. i was lucky ot get elhain and building her atm, but from other content creators i believe kael is better as an overall farmer whereas the rest are better duelists
Slayer from deadlands is also a dope farmer Commander from kaerok castle is a pretty decent healer for an uncommon AND has a decent chance to do single target stun on a1 when booked (duped?) + super easy to get dupes for skills Tainix hateflower has without a doubt the sickest aesthetic in demonspawn
Dont sleep on my boy Militia. Spirit afinity, Sacred order Uncommon. If the target is under 30% health the A1 is always a crit, BUT his A2 is a 60% chance of placing a 60% dec def for 2 turns (when booked). He's easier to get in teh early game, because Im sure they turn down the War Maiden drop rates ( I got 3-4 Berserkers, before she dropped ).

I am 95% of time agree with you, but not this time. You can't say that Elhain is the worst starter in the game, and Kael the best one. Kael is really good, polyvalent in campaign, dungeons and clan boss with an lifesteal set but he needs a lot of accuracy, instead of Elhain who doesn't have any debuff, so you can focus on atk, crit rate and damage and lot of speed. Elhain is absolutely perfect till mid-game to farm campaign and arena (i still use her in Gold IV) in nuker team
Can’t agree with that... Kael is a beast, very versatile and can land a lot os damage + those poisons! Even in arena he is a beast! HH made a video on how to build him for end game arena and he is really good!
@@tiagomoreira2929 Did I say Kael is not a very good hero ? not at all, because I used him every where (campaign, dungeon, clan boss...), except in Arena where Elhain is much more brilliant (S1=2 attacks/S2=attack+AOE/S3=AOEx2) and no need to accuracy. Of course, in end game, you will have very good stuff (good banner with high accuracy), and then Kael reveals his true potential, but do you see him in many Platinum teams ? in many counter attack teams ? in many Unkillable teams ? Once again, Elhain is a correct alternative in early/mid game except in clan boss, and I was in Gold IV every week (gorgorab+warmaiden+Elhain with high speed) Last thing, you talk about HH, but his stuff is very very high level, and he can make every champion to become a beast, what i meant was kael is not the only choice, depending in what aspect of the game you want to go
Yeah I pulled her two days after I unlocked her from daily log ins. Now I have two and don't know what to do, should I feed one as a free tome? or is it worth keeping two of her.. whould you ever need two of her?
I'm still fairly early in the game but my favorites so far are Conqueror and Klodd Beastfeader (he's such a gigantic adorable hunk of huggable Ogryn!) Conqueror gets 20k hits - if I can keep him alive - and clod hopper killed the demon at the end of the campaign all by himself on brutal. What do you think of them?
Dark Elhain good for Frost Spider ? Also Shaman I would NEVER recommend a lowspender/f2p to put books on her (Only FW maybe), either Revive on 7 Turns or nothing. You guys underrate how scarce Books are. Instead of Tainix there are other good healeres ? like Fellhound ? wouldn't recommend to new players buillding her up just for the Heal. Can Grush replace Lifesteal Set ? Or my BAK ? Currently running without Lifesteal on any champion.
I Love Spirithost and rely on her heavily, just got Templar so will give him a try aesthetically I keep leaning toward the females but will give your suggests a try

Athels a3 was the whole reason I picked her not knowing anything about the game I still thought her a3 would give the best value being able to either use it to get to her aoe faster or use it before the aoe. As the noob I was I thought poisons from Karl sounded useless lol. But still to this day athel is my favorite

They are all good champs but from my experience, many of them (mostly rares) don't even get chance to be leveled and used because leveling is so slow, especially at early stage of game where they are useful. I as FTP player can't even level better champs i pull from shards at rate i get them. So, many of them will sit in vault till they MAYBE get chance to be used to fill spots in faction wars one day. I'm 3 months in game and still didn't had chance to level Jizoh and Shaman to 5 star because i had more useful options, and they are my first epics.

Pls have a look at stage 2 again. Im using skullswron in a life steel Speed build in 12.3. And think about the synergy in Factions. Don`t you think he is end game viable?
I have question and if you build up your fighters to their max. What do you do. I only have one that goes to max at 50 but others are alot higher . How do I get mine to be at 60 or 70 or do I have to wait? I been playing for at least 3 months now to try to go further
I feel Kael is really over rated. His posions are nice, but frozen banshee or grave chill killer do his job better and are easy to get. Otherwise Kael's kit is basically the same as Galek's but with lower multipliers, and Galek's decrease defence is very good. Kael only really shines in Dragon or clan boss, and is replaced really quick. I got occult brawler as one of my first epics so Kael would be usless. Arena is where your starter champion is going to be the most usefull, and Galek (highest multipliers) or Elhain (highest speed) are the best choices for that. I'm not saying Kael is bad, he's a very solid champion, all 4 starters are good enough they could have been epics, I just don't think Kael is really better than the other three, all depends what you need and who else you have.
Yo ash I have an idea for a video what if you built a team from each rarity, common uncommon rare epic and legendary on one team doing a dungeon or maybe doom tower btw I LOVE THE VIDS
I got yaga the insatiable from a shard a couple weeks after I started so he was pretty helpful in clan boss along with fahrakin the fat. But then I just got occult brawler and now I really don’t want another yaga as my login reward
@@realreallynow oh. Thank you what a god. Well ash said to put the royal gaurd into stun gear which has a 25 percent chance to stun. Why put him in stun when the gear never stuns with a low 25 percent when I can put him in attack gear? I’m actually confused and an explanation to how I could make royal gaurd better.
@@AmZax because there is a skill on masteries where you can add another 5 percent from stun/sleep/freeze gear. If it's that your asking, not quite sure what you meant though
What about uncommon Satyr for turn meter control. On a three turn cool down he hits 4 times at random decreasing turn meter by 15% if critical. This should work well on Doom Tower, shouldn't it?

Forget Shaman, the MVP early game reviver that gets NO love is your boy in the Fusion portal, the fat frog himself, Broadmaw. VERY easy to farm and fuse even early game. And he's useful all the way through Faction wars, and a great early game carry.

@@1349-o2m at lvl 35 you can farm them on tag team arena, even at bronze tier 1 you can get atleast 20 frags per week, and you just need 200, so its less than 3 months overall even at the worst possibilities, as long as you fight 10 tag team battles per week that is.

I dunno about everyone else but i'd love to see you start a f2p with someone other than Kael. Every youtuber (barring HH picking Elhain) starts Kael. Its good to see how you can progress after you've picked the wrong champ. Most people, statistically speaking pick someone other than Kael for their first champ.
I would love to see Athel myself. Its fairly difficult to pull a weaken champ early game while poisoners are a dime a dozen in shards these days. She has a really bad drawback which you dont realise until you try to speedtune these extra turn champs. SHE TAKES AN EXTRA TURN. Goodbye ALL your buffs on your damage dealer. She is now the CB stun target. She is now the target in waves because she doesnt have shield or defence buffs up because she wasted 2 turns of buffs doing 1 attack. She also LOVES to try and put up her increase attack WEAK VERSION while she already has the strong version active. Especially when theres only 1 turn left so she takes an extra turn and loses 25% attack while also reducing the other buffs by 1 turn.
I do not think, that not picking Kael at the start is not wrong or a mistake. Okay, you might have less damage in cb but you are able to farm campaign. And the rest is just fortune with your shards - I got a frozen banshee for example so I don´t feel sorry for not having Kael.
I have a couple accounts. I use all but gael. Kael is the fastest to farm brutal 12-3. Elhain is the second. Athel is the third since her a1 hits only single target. Kael is also the best in dungeon and clan boss because of the poison - except fire...where athel 3-hit a1 is amazing.
@@00intermilan82 athel is a way better second 60 than a first. She outlasted Kael on my f2p teams clan boss team despite Kael bringing 3-6 poisons every 3 turns
dark Elhain i think have an even more increased value with the doom tower's frost spider. I had her on 5* thinking on max her out. And Jizo is a weird hero. Usually one of the last dying in faction wars, and he is only 5* in my team. Not bringing super control kit, but well enough to mess up the enemy tactics, orders etc. I am still not sure if i like him or not, but always surprising, that he is way better i am giving credit to him.

The problem with some of the Champs is, that they will only work, if you can max out crucial stats like crit rate.
And at the start you might not have the gear for doing that. Thinking of Shieldguard for example who needs 100% crit and high defense. So it will be interesting, which champs will be your real help when you progress.
And remember that you have to use your books wisely. As FTP/low spender myself I had little use from the Epic login rewards with the exception of High Khatun.
I hope you will pull Hyria and showing her to us, because she was a real surprise for me, how strong she is.
Nice Vid Ash as usual. One thing you will find though when restarting as a FTP is that Stun Gear is not as accessible as you make it seem or remember. When you say that you will put all those early game champs in Stun gear its kinda 'wishful thinking' (remember you wont be able to use your Main accounts gear for it ;)

I Disagree on Kael being best starter when it comes to early game . Athel is better early to mid game , while Kael only gets better towards End Game.
Lordly Legionary for the longest time I also tought he's a terrible champion , till I saw LokiMagics video about Banner FW and this guy is amazing there he heals your team while does those conditional 4 hits.
Over the time I realised that you need to think outside the box and work with what you got , meaning that all champs are useable if you set right conditions.
Visix the unbowed is truelly a great control champ I might say. Specially if you put Freeze items on her.
I'm using her lvl 60 with support and deff build with turn meter manipulation. Really good control
And exactly where do you get that Stun Set for Saurus from, as a beginner who needs to use these F2P champions? *snicker*. Yeah, not happening. But I agree with you on which of those champs are decent, though I don't have the same kind of hardon for Kael (whom I am now running on an alt account so I can compare). I basically figured out who was worthwhile by observing who did what when I was fighting them in the various stages. Who gave me trouble, or what protective abilities for their team did they have? I knew I wanted Valerie (not Valkyrie!) right away, for example. And then she didn't drop for ages, and now it's too late. I wanted Skullsworn as well because he was so ferocious in the Sewers, and he also didn't drop forever, but he needs a lot of TLC before he becomes really useful, which nobody has to give him in early game. I'm using another Lizard, Skinner, in Magic Keep to remove the buffs from the boss queen -- and that taught me all about accuracy and how much it matters even for skills that don't have to proc.
Early game you won't have masteries either. You really ought to start an F2P account so you become more familiar with how poor we actually are. ;) 800 gems is a cactusload, and farming Minotaur? Ghods. I gave up on that for my starter. Oh, and it's "Ah-THEL" according to the cinematic intro, not AY-thel. Sounds a lot cooler that way too! Not like a leafy, green vegetable. ;)
I was very excited when I got Shaman, but you know what? I didn't actually really start building her because I had super good luck in the last summoning event (Gorgorab and Maulie both), and didn't need Shaman.
Early fire knight isn't super hard, so you can get a crappy stun set that should last while you're using Saurus.

The best function of valerie is extending buffs to stretch its duration long enough until other buff casters cast their buffs.

Greybeard can tank better by giving him provoke set to synergize it with his counterattack. The reason why want a provoke set even though he has provoke on his first is because his second is an aoe. The point is provoking more and continuing the cycle through counterattack.

The issue with knowing what champions are imp to have is the gears and the time to be spent to have to 60. You don't do them 60 anytime as wait for the right moment when events or tournament show up. It is a real harsh for early players to make it unless pay a little in game. I am a f2p so take it slow and use my patience. I could max master my elhain as a beast when put gears on soon . Thanks for the video as enjoyed to the max as always.
I'm a pretty big fan of Jizoh though... I have used him to farm food for a while. I'm New to game, and he has solo'd quite a few, I have deflection and defense gear on him. I certainly love shieldguard, he's a fave.
*Warmaiden* is queen of early obtainable F2P heroes.
She is viable in few lvl 20 dungeons _(to speed up waves clear)_ , for arena _(in nuker team)_ and for faction wars. If any F2P player just dont know, what do leveling up first, she is here, viable from early to end game.

*High Khatun* is great too, obtainable after 30 days as login reward, great as leader in faction wars, great speed leader in arena and dungeons and she is viable even with booked only A2 skill.

Spirithost is in my heart as early champion on 50th lvl, great for ATK boost and debuff clearing.
In arena she is great, making classic picture: HK (speed) -> Spirithost (ATK buff) -> Warmaiden (decrease defense+dmg) -> NUKER _(Kael/Elhain)_ deleting enemy team :D
Valerie! Yeah! My girl! I nuilt her so well she can outlast even Ronda equipped in Lifesteal gear, Valerie wears Immortal and Regeneration Armor. She's fully booked and Ascended amd not even has all of her Masteries yet and she can go all the way through Nightmare Campaign even at level 50! She's been my #1 defensive support.
Since you have to fuse Relic Keeper eventually it will never be a waste to 4* at least the ones that you'll need eventually for the fusion too.

Ash, u should mention that dark elhain is very useful in doom tower against scarab king with her a1, and frost spider's freeze esp if u're f2p and still in early game,
Heiress rocks. I put her in a toxic set and use her on clan boss along with Frozen Banshee, Gravechill Killer and Kael. Pretty insane how many poison debuffs it takes.
You also get Sniper as a second champion at the start, and Warpriest when you beat the first map. :)
War priest is a great early game tank.

I used Jizoh to 3 star quite a few campaigns.
He just lives, and then he keeps on living.
The problem with Athel is that her damage is lacking compared to the other starters. Yeah, she can get an extra turn, but it's much MUCH harder to oneshot the waves with her when compared to any of the other starters. I think her A2 multiplier is 4Atk so if it doesn't kill - good luck with farming fast. For comparison, Kael has 4.65-ish atk, Galek around 4.5 as both have another multi-hitting ability that can be useful for speed farming, but undoubtedly the crown goes to Elhain because she has two AoE abilities. Her Valley of Death hits for 4.4 Atk (the combined of both hits) and her A2 is also another AoE (granted, lower multiplier on the AoE part but it can still oneshot some waves - currently with 4.2k Atk and 140-ish crit dmg, her A2 can oneshot the waves in brutal 12-3). The problem with Kael is that he goes A2 first, probably kills the first wave but his turn meter fill is wasted - he doesn't get that extra turn to reduce his A2 cd if he oneshots the first wave, so in the second wave he uses A3 which doesn't really deal much dmg, then goes A1, and then finally goes back to A3... again killing the wave because the A3 dmg has set it up to be oneshot. Then he has to go A1 into A3 into A2 for the third which is... significantly slower than an example Elhain run - she goes A2 on the first wave, then A3 for the second wave (with luck, we can proc Cycle of Violence to reduce the A2 cd) so for the third, she will just have to A1 once (if Cycle of Violence proc-ed from the second wave) or twice, and she's back to A2 to finish the wave. Much much smoother and faster.

Valerie is a BEAST. Geared properly she can hit hard as well as cleanse. You won't regret working her all the way up.

The problem with Heiress, she hits like a wet noodle even with best top gear, i would invest in Diabolist instead.
You should really invest in any of the champs you mentioned so you have at least 1 good champ who can farm early faction wars. I would lvl them up to 40 lvl so if and when you don't need them any more you can rank them to 5 star and use them as food to make a 6 star.
Jizoh is a great tank, he will carry you t all the way to brutal even as a lvl 40, also good for faction wars.
In some stages i used Jizoh and Warpriest (both 40) to 3 star campaign on hard.
There is only one roll for a stun set. It doesn't matter how many times you attack. 18% chance on the whole attack.
cool video Ash. I dont share your view on all (esp Jizoh which pulled my entire team for a long time). One mistake though: Ghrush does not decrease Attack and Crit Dmg but or. it's one or the other.... would be awesome to be both!
When we have the AI customization, Visix will be the new armiger, but better since visix is a void champ

I didn't take the time to max out any of these Champions. Only got them to Level 3 and 4 stars. Some were also fusion cards that I used for fusing Champions Relic Hunter, Rahzin, and Broadmaw. Working on building up these Champions but seems too many and too long of a time to grind.
I have a lot of time on my hands these days so started a second account, completely f2p. It's crazy how fast I progressed. It's barely been 5 days and I have already complete the first set of arbiter missions, very close to getting kael to rank 6. I'd love to see your f2p account in the future

@@Urickwolf Hey, took me 7 days I guess. I had four 5* food ready, took me two more days to get the last one. What I did is usually not recommended, but since this was my second time playing the game I was pretty sure I didn't need most of the champs. I basically used all champions as food for kael since I knew I wouldn't be using any of them on end game. It might sound stupid but it worked out for me. I'm 40 days in right now and I have 4 rank 6 champions, will do the fifth shortly. I saved up gems and bought masteries on kael and a second champion too, so now I got cb at hard, can 3 key that level. And I'm in silver 4 in arena.
@@amithnair6867 I'm doing that now with the drops from 12-3. Using as food, but the turns for all the leveling get used up pretty quickly lol. I'm working on my last 5* star food, and that's only because I have 2 chickens from different rewards. One person suggested working on food while 2xp is active and masteries when no 2xp. But as I only recently managed to get into a clan, I didn't have much help in my first month. With all the daily summonings, I'm up to my eyeballs in champs, and still working on my core. Minimal progress in dungeons due to spread of team, and stuck on mission for even reaching bronze 3 in arena. So sad. I even accidentally picked the worst starter, Elhain. Some say she good, most say she trash. But I cant get anybody geared properly, cos gear stat never be what I need...or think I need
@@Urickwolf for f2p, kael is the best starter. And yes, you need to level food during the xp boost. The reason I pushed so hard during the first week is cause we usually get a lot of xp and xp boosts during the first week due to constant leveling. You need to focus on only one champ at a time, once you have have that done, aim for two more. I basically did kael and shieldguard. And since pyxniel fusion event was on going, I managed to get that epic dwarf, he's been a great help in dungeons. I started to worry about dungeons only after my xp boost ram out. Till then I only followed the plan as per the arbiter missions. When I knew I couldn't progress any further, I just focused on leveling up kael

luckily i didnt invest in shaman like other poor souls. excellent video however, wish it was up a couple of weeks sooner. hiwever, i disagree on kael. i think for arena elhain is better. in many battles even my heiress manages to stay alive and ultimately even outdps my kael in similar lvl and gear against sturdier comps. i was lucky ot get elhain and building her atm, but from other content creators i believe kael is better as an overall farmer whereas the rest are better duelists
Slayer from deadlands is also a dope farmer
Commander from kaerok castle is a pretty decent healer for an uncommon AND has a decent chance to do single target stun on a1 when booked (duped?) + super easy to get dupes for skills

Dont sleep on my boy Militia. Spirit afinity, Sacred order Uncommon. If the target is under 30% health the A1 is always a crit, BUT his A2 is a 60% chance of placing a 60% dec def for 2 turns (when booked). He's easier to get in teh early game, because Im sure they turn down the War Maiden drop rates ( I got 3-4 Berserkers, before she dropped ).

I am 95% of time agree with you, but not this time. You can't say that Elhain is the worst starter in the game, and Kael the best one. Kael is really good, polyvalent in campaign, dungeons and clan boss with an lifesteal set but he needs a lot of accuracy, instead of Elhain who doesn't have any debuff, so you can focus on atk, crit rate and damage and lot of speed. Elhain is absolutely perfect till mid-game to farm campaign and arena (i still use her in Gold IV) in nuker team

@@tiagomoreira2929 Did I say Kael is not a very good hero ? not at all, because I used him every where (campaign, dungeon, clan boss...), except in Arena where Elhain is much more brilliant (S1=2 attacks/S2=attack+AOE/S3=AOEx2) and no need to accuracy. Of course, in end game, you will have very good stuff (good banner with high accuracy), and then Kael reveals his true potential, but do you see him in many Platinum teams ? in many counter attack teams ? in many Unkillable teams ?
Once again, Elhain is a correct alternative in early/mid game except in clan boss, and I was in Gold IV every week (gorgorab+warmaiden+Elhain with high speed)
Last thing, you talk about HH, but his stuff is very very high level, and he can make every champion to become a beast, what i meant was kael is not the only choice, depending in what aspect of the game you want to go

I'm still fairly early in the game but my favorites so far are Conqueror and Klodd Beastfeader (he's such a gigantic adorable hunk of huggable Ogryn!) Conqueror gets 20k hits - if I can keep him alive - and clod hopper killed the demon at the end of the campaign all by himself on brutal. What do you think of them?

Stun sets are not realistic early game cuz they are to hard to get, unless you get lucky like I did on my f2p and pull a random alure week 1

Athels a3 was the whole reason I picked her not knowing anything about the game I still thought her a3 would give the best value being able to either use it to get to her aoe faster or use it before the aoe. As the noob I was I thought poisons from Karl sounded useless lol. But still to this day athel is my favorite

They are all good champs but from my experience, many of them (mostly rares) don't even get chance to be leveled and used because leveling is so slow, especially at early stage of game where they are useful. I as FTP player can't even level better champs i pull from shards at rate i get them. So, many of them will sit in vault till they MAYBE get chance to be used to fill spots in faction wars one day. I'm 3 months in game and still didn't had chance to level Jizoh and Shaman to 5 star because i had more useful options, and they are my first epics.

spot on in all of them . really nice explanation about Alhel as she decrease the cool down of her other skills by gaining an extra turn , very nice ! many people don't realise that . i use her for long and i didn't that just push the button :) great video !

Ive just started but started with Elhain :( Gutted hearing she's the least viable.... only 3 days in so might restart with Kael. Opinions?
What does "provoke" do? how do I find out what all the buffs and debuffs actually do?

I have question and if you build up your fighters to their max. What do you do. I only have one that goes to max at 50 but others are alot higher . How do I get mine to be at 60 or 70 or do I have to wait? I been playing for at least 3 months now to try to go further

Is a Stun/Spd set on all Saurus team viable for early/mid arena? Just a thought.
I feel Kael is really over rated. His posions are nice, but frozen banshee or grave chill killer do his job better and are easy to get. Otherwise Kael's kit is basically the same as Galek's but with lower multipliers, and Galek's decrease defence is very good.
Kael only really shines in Dragon or clan boss, and is replaced really quick. I got occult brawler as one of my first epics so Kael would be usless.
Arena is where your starter champion is going to be the most usefull, and Galek (highest multipliers) or Elhain (highest speed) are the best choices for that.
I'm not saying Kael is bad, he's a very solid champion, all 4 starters are good enough they could have been epics, I just don't think Kael is really better than the other three, all depends what you need and who else you have.

I got yaga the insatiable from a shard a couple weeks after I started so he was pretty helpful in clan boss along with fahrakin the fat. But then I just got occult brawler and now I really don’t want another yaga as my login reward

no. I had this same question. accuracy doesnt help with gear procs
@@realreallynow oh. Thank you what a god. Well ash said to put the royal gaurd into stun gear which has a 25 percent chance to stun. Why put him in stun when the gear never stuns with a low 25 percent when I can put him in attack gear? I’m actually confused and an explanation to how I could make royal gaurd better.
@@AmZax stun/freeze/sleep gear is good on champions where you arent really going after their atk dmg and if they have an AOE attack.
@@AmZax because there is a skill on masteries where you can add another 5 percent from stun/sleep/freeze gear. If it's that your asking, not quite sure what you meant though

What about uncommon Satyr for turn meter control. On a three turn cool down he hits 4 times at random decreasing turn meter by 15% if critical. This should work well on Doom Tower, shouldn't it?
