Answering your question, they don't have a lore 😅 Their videos began by expressing the stage of their lives they were in (since they make their own songs, the messages they wanted to give to fans were very personal), so instead of following a story, it follows their growth as people and different musical genres that they become interested in.

"Maestro" is a musical term that refers to someone who has mastered the art of music, either as a performer or as a conductor. Seventeen also said it's someone who has been performing/working at least 10 or more years. They didn't debut until May 2015, but most of them trained together since 2012. Yes...they are DEFINITELY maestros...each one of them...because ALL of them have mastered dance, vocals AND rap!
Their choreos are considered some of the most difficult in the whole music world; and because they're always in perfect sync, they are called the Kings of Synchronicity. Just watch the dance practice video for "Super"....or for ANY of their songs. Your mind will be blown!
Seventeen has 13 members and three (3) sub-units: Hip Hop, Performance and Vocal. You should check out the Hip-Hop's MV that dropped last week titled "LALALI". The Performance unit's MV drops this Friday, and next week the Vocal unit's MV will drop. All three songs plus "Maestro" are the four new songs on their comeback "Seventeen Is Right Here"...a 2-disc compilation of 29 of their biggest hits PLUS the four new ones. Woozi (the one who writes all of their songs/produces most of their songs, and is the blonde playing the piano at the beginning as well as leading the house dance break at the end) used samples from 7 of their big hits to compose "Maestro". He wanted "Maestro" to be a collaboration of some of their past music in order to encapsulate their 9 years together (since debut in May 2015, since many of them have been together as trainees since 2012) as a tribute to their work. It's definitely a masterpiece, since it combines so many genres into one song that flows seamlessly...and works! THANK YOU FOR REACTING TO SEVENTEEN!!! Seventeen is actually 3rd Gen they debuted 2yrs (2015) after BTS (2013)
Sorry to keep commenting...but some fun facts about "Super". There are 250 back-up dancers; the building isn't CGI, but an abandoned hotel; and yes...Woozi (the one who starts and ends the song as the Monkey King Son of Gong from Dragon Ball) wrote it. "Super" was on their FML album/comeback in 2023, and it won TWO Album of the Year awards...one from MAMA and one from Golden Disc Awards. It also broke ALL...and I mean ALL music records for pre-sales, and almost 4 million the first day it was released!! SOOOOOOO proud of Seventeen!!! (Their "Seventeen Is Right Here" album on which "Maestro" was released also broke records, selling almost 2 million the first week!!!
