About this Budva, Montenegro vlog:
In this Balkan vlog, I set out to explore Budva, Montenegro. It was my first time to the Adriatic Sea and I was excited to see what the Budva beaches were like. I’d read online that Budva was nicknamed the “Miami of Montenegro” and investigated that claim. I ended up seeing multiple places during this day trip to Montenegro, including:
- Sveti Nikola island (St. Nikola island or “Hawaii”)
- Budva Riviera
- Mogren Beach
- Hemingway Bar & Restaurant
- Budva Bell
- Budva Old Town
- The Church of Sveti Ivan (The Church of St. Ivan or The Church of St. John the Baptist)
- Budva Citadel
- Budva Ballerina
I did get scammed during the boat tour, which was unfortunate. Scams are common while traveling; even if you prepare for them, they happen. It rained on and off throughout the day, so I wish I had been able to visit Budva at a better time.

He gave you a nice tour. He deserves a nice tip and not haggling. One hour on the boat for 40€ is a very good price. I think this is not a scam, but a misunderstanding. At first you said that you had recorded it, then you declared that it was not recorded. Who knows what the truth is, maybe it's a scam, but not on the part of the boat driver. 🙂 Don't worry about it, if I meet this boat driver in Budva this summer, I'll pay him 10 euros for you. And I won't forget the tip.
Yeah it’s not the biggest deal. I went to him because I heard him tell other people 20 Euro and then he told me the same thing. But it could’ve been a misunderstanding too I guess. Thanks for watching!

l've visited to Budva once in 2016 and stayed at the black hotel which is appeared on 15.40 :) l adopted a stray cat from Budva and named him Budva as well to keep him connected to his roots :) He is a lap loving black cat. I really want to revisit Budva may be in summer 2024, wht not? If l can do that this video will be the reason for sure. Thank you for the video and taking me back to that moments...

@@TravelLordOnLoc Yes he is ok. Actually he was about to die when l found him at the old Budva. He was a premature kitten thats why he gets sick easily also he pees home sometimes 🤦♀️ but yes we good :)
Montenegro.looks amazing. I a always had a fascination with countries in the Balkans, especially Montenegro with its unique landscape, culture and history. I'm sorry you got ripped -off while on tour in budva. no humble or compassionate traveller, (showing people for Free the world) deserves this kind of treatment, as it can have a significant impact on how seriously tourism is taken in any country. Thanks! I wish I had more time to check out Montenegro. Driving through the mountains was amazing! It was part of a 18 day tour through the Balkans so made a lot of stops. I’ve got more Balkan videos coming up!

Istanbul taxi driver wanted me to kiss him (I'm a guy), then later, tried to scamed me. Wanted $300 for hour drive. I gave him $150. Stopped at restaurant, at his suggestion, most likely a friend, I ordered for me, he also ordered, I paid. When he neared my hotel, I think, the An Hotel, he made sure he didn't stop anywhere near the tourist policeman standing on the corner shouldering a AK47. The store hired tourist grabbers around the Blue Mosque were a real nuisance. I'll never go to Turkey again!

This expat American has never been scammed the 12yrs I've been here. Are you sure, he didn't say, 30mins 20euro. That's usually the going rate for one person.
Could’ve been a miscommunication, but I asked how much was a boat ride and he said 20 Euros. No time or amount of places was discussed. Maybe it was the going rate but he took me to extra places without telling me it cost more
That's usually the case. Miscommunication. You will pay for any extra side trips, no freebies. The only time you need to watch your money, is when paying for something at small stores. Count the small change to make sure it's the correct amount. The locals also complain about that. Very safe, beautiful country! Enjoy!
@@TravelLordOnLocChanging the price, for taking me further, without telling me/asking me, cost me a $150, he wanted $300, in Istanbul, Turkey. When I first ask him price he laughed, saying millions, millions, after he voluntarily picked me up off street, promising cheap ride, to see things, during Ramadan, everything closed. What is funny, after a few minutes of riding around he tells me, 'You are a very good man, I'm a very bad man'. I should have took him seriously! Live and learn.

@@TravelLordOnLoc I lived there for four years. Never happened to me. One newcomer got sick, mainly because, they made food to spicey hot for him.
