Obviously he was taking in his size but nothing about his look gave off the impression that he’s worried in the slightest. These face offs are about one thing and one thing only. *energy* ☝🏼
Gane is a tough dude and he’s pretty confident in his abilities so it should by all means make for good entertainment but you can see clearly that he’s really bit off more than he can chew here. Jones’ experience alone is enough to intimidate gane and I believe he is low key intimidated. You’re not going to see it on a fighters face every time but you can feel it in their energy.

i’m not even cap this gave me complete chills… The way Jon wanted that belt out of the way and he wanted a chance to really get close and analyze his opponent and really through some good minds games out there… Seemed real sturdy and ready to go to me, and Ciryl kinda seemed nervous at the end there didn’t even know where to go 😂 just my thoughts tho.

@@freshproduce2170 ciryl gane behaves exactly the same in every weigh in. It's another level of maturity he really doesn't care about trying to play any mental games. He values respect and honor and being a respectful gentleman more than anything. The fact that he doesn't feel the need to talk and rely on mental games and let his hands do the talking shows that he's entirely confident. Ciryl IS confident, Jon Jones needs to criticize and talk down his opponents, point out thier weaknesses, get his ego involve and give dirty looks up and down because he feels his fists talking won't be enough. He's clearly trying build confidence while his opponent already has it. This kind of behavior is typical of someone who is caught in the delusion that they can't lose all the while their feelings in thier heart doesn't entirely match thier belief in thier mind. He's trying to get the 2 to line up. I sense some strong insecurity in Jones including the fear of losing
Additionally Ciryl has a solid track record of being completely honest and humble. When he says he feels absolutely confident and when he says it's very hard to get under his skin and mind games are pretty much pointless on him; his behavior matches his words. He hasn't responded at all with trying to intimidate jones. Besides he's seen much worse, francis ngannou looks way more intimidating and so do most of the other heavyweights. He's used to fighting people bigger than him. JJ is a bit smaller than ciryl still if u take away the fat especially.
Never been known for poor observational skills but rather I think it's you that lacks the awareness and empathy to understand these things. Hopefully my comment can help you see things from another perspective.

Until now I thought Jones will breeze through Gane but damn seeing them face to face I see Gane is significantly bigger than Jon and that too he's naturally this size, he did not have to bulk up to be 250. The bone density will come into play, all the advantages of reach and size and strength Jon had at LHW is gone, now he's the physically smaller guy. You could see the concern in Jons face when they came face to face up close, he looked Cyril up and down to size him up while Gane just stared straight at him.
