Try and add the Go-Around procedure for your aircraft to your approach briefing, this review helps so that you won't be caught off-guard and won't be trying to remember the steps in a high-stress situation. Power and Pitch; Positive Rate; (Gear); accelerate to flap retraction schedule. Always expect a go-around and be ready. The more you practice the easier it gets. Oh! And as the song says, "You can always go-around", hesitancy to abort an unstable approach can be deadly. Happy landings.
Stop the descent. Sometimes you may start your go around so late you still touch down briefly. Don’t freak out. Remember everything else. Fly the plane.
Ads now? Unsubscribed. I guess raising our dues didn’t help AOPA’s greed.
