For 27 years, and 19 cds, countless recordings, live shows, I will miss you Joey.. Glad I had the pleasure to see you play my favorite instrument, live with Jimmy smith 3 times.. Rest my brother, I love you, and will never forget how you made my music life, a groving one.. my condolences to the Defrancesco family, a great lost.. please celebrate his life, I am.. Joey .... Everyone talks about your trumpet, sax, keys and Hammonds ... but for me you are also the greatest Jazz bass player in the world! Your bass lines are killer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love!
I have watch this guy since sitting on the bench wit Mr. Jimmy smith, jamming with miles in Germany.. I get my vitamin B3 daily from Joey, jimmy, mcduff , the burner. It is a art that he single handily returned to main stream. Keep making that instrument talk, you are the best.
I saw this band in Apr of 2018 at WPU in Wayne, NJ. I'm only uncertain if it was the same drummer. Joey was a gentleman afterwards, and took a pic with my young boy.
My god, that was some drop-dead gorgeous sh!t Joey (the Real Joe). Thank you so much for uploading it. My chair was about 8" off the ground for most of it! Really did my heart good to see Jabali playing too. He still has that beautiful touch. An all-time great. Troy with a very cool Echoplex embellishment on his great solo was nice too!

Incredible playing all round. I think it's a Viscount Legend organ (not Hammond) and a Tornado T315 speaker (not Leslie). You can just about see the labels. Both great emulations though - I can't tell the difference.
