I’m picking up my bottle of Delphinus tomorrow (yes I pay retail for Creed) and I’m really excited. I’m a fool for heliotrope and almondy - hedione fragrances and when I first smelled the Delphinus it was as if the fragrance was created for me. To my nose the orris is very high quality and while I’m not enthralled with Iris as a note I’ve smelled and experienced plenty of top end Iris fragrances. I wish that Creed would release a summer flanker of Delphinus with added tropical flowers like Ylang, Champaca etc included. As a side note the fragrances that I’ve enjoyed most as of late are Latin Lover, Tubereuse Absolu and Sampaquita (which has sadly been discontinued). I layered my sample of Delphinus with some white floral fragrances and the aroma is simply divine. I am actually really enjoying the direction that Creed is headed except the Triple Aged Batch - Absolu Aventus which is a ridiculous cash grab.
@@Tommelise I’m really enjoying it. Truly, it seems to be one of my favorite bottles that I’ve acquired. As much as I enjoy it on its own, I’m still enjoying the layering combination with white floral fragrances. All my best Yana
Queen of Silk, a dark fruity oud🤔 I might pick the dupe. It's called Cleopatra from Hamidi. But one quick question if you had to align the fragrance with a mythical being what would you pick?
I love Aventus and Green Irish Tweed. I am not sure if the Creed family still own part of the brand. I also love absolu Aventus. Their prices are a bit expensive but very nice they create and never follow others that's really nice
@@TommeliseI feel like they learned from Viking and Viking Cologne that the old school Cologne vibe is not were the market is going. Plus Juliene Rasquinet is a perfumer for them who is very familiar oriental fragrances.
Definitely a new direction for the brand, no question. I think I still prefer their older stuff. And likely....always will. A lot of people getting rich off the brand these days as it continues to trade hands. Very much a pump and dumper. 📈

To be honest I am not a mythological expert but it's an interesting question thanks
I made a small research and I would say it would be Huldra, seductive forest creature
@Tommelise Oh!! 😍That sounds wonderful!!! 🤩🤩🤩 absolutely adding it to my must get list
