- Eastman lake is California's First Trophy Bass Lake where the minimum legal size for Black Bass has to be 22" to take home. First tournament after the long trip to the Bassmaster National Championship. The prior night my family and friends had tossed me a party for bringing home a 2nd place trophy. Contacted the tournament director the day before if it was ok for me to show up late which he said it would be ok. Got a late start to the tournament but we were able to put a few pieces of the puzzle together.

The Bassmaster comes back from his 2nd place victory accross the country, fishes his home lake where he cut his teeth, gets there late and wins the whole thing at the buzzer! What we all expect from Dthao92. Congrats, man!

look up Central Valley Kayak Fishing on facebook. Its a local club here around fresno that holds tournaments here. They fish, Pine Flat, eastman, pretty much the central valley lakes

I once show up 2hr late to a kayak tournament and while everyone was on the good spots on the lake I end up with the only limit out of everyone and took home the win . Sweet win

I got a tournament Saturday at Eastman. I’ve been catching them on a 7” senko. I might have to throw brush hogs now. Biggest I had was a 4 1/2.
Keep throwing that 7" senko. Senko's wins tournaments this time of the year. Brush hog is a more prespawn to spawn. Once its full blown spawn its hard to beat a senko and a glidebait. Throw that Jackall Ganterall

I’ve never seen someone throw a Carolina rig on spinning gear. Since you have other casting set ups I’m curious as to why you choose to throw it on a spinning rod?
During the prespawn to spawn i throw a light carolina rig usually 1/4oz-3/8oz with either 8-10lb test. The spinning setup just works best for this rig with light setup

Eastmans like an hr 45 from my house and I still haven’t been there. That slot limit is what makes me wanna go. Literally the only “Trophy” lake in the valley. I fish mostly Kaweah and success

Might do 2 videos coming soon. A video with shallow water setups and a video with deep water setups. I pretty much fish majority budget rods and reels.
