- Firework by Katy Perry is featured in Silly Love Songs, the twelfth episode of Season Two. It is sung by Rachel, with back-up from the New Directions Girls (except Quinn).
The Glee Club's assignment was to sing a love song to a partner, and Rachel uses Finn as her inspiration after he comes down with mononucleosis and admits to her that when he kissed Quinn, he experienced 'fireworks'.

I love this because Rachel found herself and realized that she special by herself, she didn't need Finn to prove that. Even though I love Finchel, he was very selfish thinking she would take him back immediately he had broken her heart and dated Quinn in my opinion. RIP Cory.

people hate on rachel doing pop songs too much. like with ‘baby one more time’ and ‘i kissed a girl’. i honestly think she killed every song.
These same dummies say that she cannot do pop songs and only can do Broadway. They need to just listen to this one again. She can sing ANYTHING.

Lea Michele's voice sounds better than Katy Perry's. That's why I prefer to listen to this version than the original.

Frankly, in this episode, when we see the efforts of Finn to recover Quinn, the only comment we can make is "All that for that, for a rotten thing that ended even before it started "(because their relationship is barely revealed, we can see that he still has feelings for Rachel)
