I am also the owner of MG Astor Smart 1.5 , I would say that it is very good car and much better than the competitors because it's build quality is very good and luxury and service is the best in class....even the staff is also superb. I also had some trust issues after watching the UA-cam videos. I would suggest you to not pay heed towards the video reviews because these are paid reviews. Superb product and you can go for it. Please just first test drive yourself and then form your opinion. Even the ride quality is also very good. There is just one sort of negative. Due to the high weight and good build quality mileage is a bit less... Getting 11-12 in city. On highway it is good..even gave me 22kmpl mileage..

I took my astor to the Sissu and was blown by its power performance! Even fully loaded with passengers it tackled steep climbs with ease and felt incredibly confident and the comfort was also good.

This car is for a niche audience who seek comfort, luxury, safety, and service. Mileage is not bad as compared to other cars in the segment. I am fully satisfied with the car, have done several long trips without any tiredness.
Fun to drive aur bhagaane mein kya difference hai?
1. Music system potty
2. AC is noisy + ineffective at low fan speed
3. Ride quality is stiff
4. Too much road noise
5. Gimmicky features
6. Poor feature distribution in low and mid variants
7. Engine feels underpowered with the build quality of the car.
Only Pro is that it looks like Mercedes GLA

@satyam_1212_ I am owner of Astor since January 2022. It is truly an awesome car. You need to drive it to believe what I am saying. It's much superior to Creta/Seltos/Kushaq or any other car in C Segment

The main reason behind Astor selling less is because of the overlapping prices with a bigger car hector . That's why people are going for hector instead of Astor.
Pick up the base and you'll realise how best it is in that price range

When it comes safety Astor ticks on all boxes. 4 disc brakes, Autohold, 5 star rating ( as it is same as ZS EV & it has scored 5 star in ASEAN NCAP), heated Mirror, hill hold, head rest and 3 point anchor seat belt for all 5 passenger. ADAS is extremely useful even in city conditions. Premium interior. After sales service is exceptional. No comparison
He doesn't consider it as a deciding criteria.
If he were to buy a car in same segment , he would still have preferred Kia/ Hyundai.
Since safety is not the first priority for him ...may be 3 rd priority.
But there are no options in the market which provide good power, good mileage and good safety along with reliability.
Koreans provide good power and mileage in their diesel cars.
I think every car in this segment is safer than seltos/creta.
But none of them is providing diesel option.

This car is not for all its different from rest low build quality so called Koreans and Japanese 2 wheel drive suvs. Its simple those who need power should go for Turbo model for others its NA engine. The mileage is low due to low power to weight ratio. If one drives within its mentioned RPM range it can give good FE. For me its 12 in city and 20 kmpl on highway per mid. Safety is better than couple of more kmpl figures.

I have 1.5MT Super model and I get a mileage of 12-14kmpl in the city and 16-18kmpl on the highway. One of the best cars to buy. Fun to drive car with great aerodynamics.

It is definitely one of the better looking and well kitted cars but the engine is such a weak spot, it just cannot be ignored. Another negative is the overall cabin space which is much akin to a premium hatch than a SUV costing upward of 15 lacs for a lazy automatic.

Congrats Bhai for your ASTOR , I bought manual sharp in 15 lakhs ...Power and milage issues are sorted and this is global product Europe UK , Australia drives Astor so be assured you are driving a quality product. Take it this way it is Audi Q1.5 OR BMW X0.5 , hit like if you agree :) ...I am writing it when 2024 Creta is launched and again very poor design (may be my personal opinion).

I have 1.3 turbo Astor and I have not regretted buying the car even for a single day.
Plus MG after sale service is top notch, world class.
Yes average is a bit less but I have turbo and performance is brilliant, comfort is brilliant and safety is top notch.
Only those people who appreciate quality will buy Astor.
For the common masses, there is Creta and Seltos. Creta, Seltos are the Altos of this segment. Everyone has one. 😄
I'm also planning 1.3 turbo but also Verna looks very attractive at this price point, what do you think between Verna and Astor at 20 L
@@AbhishekSingh-i8v1l My advice will be that you take proper test drives of both vehicles, multiple times if necessary to decide.
Ultimately the car you buy must meet your needs and requirements.
Both are different class of vehicles and both also drive very differently. If you are a keen driver then go for the Verna. Also the verna will probably have slightly better fuel economy. But if your requirement is for a crossover that is solidly built, feels plush and drives well, then you can go for the Astor.
It all boils down to your requirements. Both are excellent products.

Great car if you prefer luxury. Worst car in terms of Mileage. Even Elevate gives more mileage than this car in CVT. Comes at same price. Also, Elevate is more comfortable and looks bulky if you prefer that.
