Before ja trials KT was basically an unknown but Franno told us he had some surprises that manifested in KT and Tina Clayton. Obviously the mam knows what he is doing those of us who are fans and supporters should do just that. Give moral support and encourage the athletes and leave the coaching to the coaches. Franno is more than capable. We don't need a bunch of armchair coaches and “commentators.”

It’s just amazing how our small country keep producing those world class athletes, years in years out. I think there are two possible reasons his coach told him to do that. One he just needed to qualify for the Olympics so he didn't need to burn out in the finals and two he was still recovering from injury so he needed to watch how he was applying any unnecessary pressure to his body. The advice may be totally different at the Olympics or similar through different rounds.

Agree with you Maverick. It takes awareness and experience to shut down early in the sprints, especially the 100m. Bolt used to watch his competition and shut down early in the glory years because he was a high IQ athlete coupled with lots of experience from previous Championships. Kishane should just run to execute to his fullest while trying to avoid injury.
