Ik this will fly under the radar but You’ve really helped me understand and appreciate my reptiles and after moving out on my own for the first time I’m in the process of making my own sand boa/ball python enclosure and I really wanted to thank you
I'm happy to see someone talk about butterfly agamas! I got mine a while ago, and although neither of them are handleable right now ( They're a communal species btw, I have a Rubritaeniata male and a Ngovantrii, soon adding another Rubritaeniata female ), I hope I get them there eventually. I have a breeding pair, and fully intend on bringing more captive bred butterfly agamas in the pet trade. They're wonderful creatures, really.
@@thelegenddeuce Are you in the US? I know of a breeder there. I personally live in Europe and got lucky with mine, but if you live in the US, that breeder might be a good option for you as well.
I've noticed that (and I may be wrong) that you haven't reccomended would be an African House Snake. In my experience keeping them they've been pretty bullet proof, easy going, have beautiful morphs and locales, reasonable size, and great beginner animals. I think that it could be a good alternative for number 2.
Yo adam, i see you quoting Indonesia more and more since you've visited here haha i like it! Honestly don't know much about the reptiles in my home country and here i am hearing about them from you all the way from canada 😅
Wow I did not know about those butterfly agamas or Solomon Island ground boas! Also would love to see that list of most bulletproof reptiles please and thank you 👍🏽👍🏽

I'm getting a high white Paulsoni before the end of the year, but I also plan on getting an Aspera soon after!
10:14 - 10:48 Highly suspicious black eye story..... 🤨🤔 I suspect that you either had a lizard whip you in the eye, or you got into a personal fight with somebody. 🤕
Your story about your black eye is so funny to me. Since I have a schneider skink, and the other day I saw a emerald tree skink for the first time. And for just a few mins, I was telling myself that I got the wrong skink. Since the Emerald were so freaking active and moving about . And my little dude likes to hide all day after 10 am.
There’s this one youtuber @Leafystreet who’s Solomon island ground boa is very rude and always tries to attack him, at the same time they are very tiny
@@Gorillagangsta202 oh yeah I know who you’re talking about. When they’re little they can be kinda spicy. Like Clint says “when you’re a noodle with a head, the worlds a scary place”. I’ve got two ones a little more nervous but she was a wc individual. I also have a small cbb male who’s pretty chill. But I’ve never received a bite from either. Overall they’re amazing snakes and can be tamed out pretty well
We have a Solomon Island ground boa and while she's very food motivated, she's never once tried to bite us. Just boop her with a snake hook if she's in food mode and then she's fine. She's only a year old so she's about the size of one of our male hognoses. Fun fact: they can change color to some extent. It's not like how a chameleon does, but she can go from a light silvery green to a nice dark almost black green.
I had a sudan plated lizard for years. loved him, and he loved to sit behind my neck and was gentle as could be ONCE HE WAS ON YOU. picking him up was a nightmare though. thrashed and tail whipped. never bit though. R.I.P. Gorebash.
@WickensWickedReptiles I'm so fucking sorry that happened to you man. I'm out in the suburb area of Ottawa but I know how it is out there. Is it affecting the cold-blooded babies in any way or was it just some petty cash?

Anyway this is not really related to this particular video content but what are your feelings on the less known Angolan Python the cousin to the ball python? I've always wanted one, they are not super easy to find but man are they super cool animals.
butterfly agamas, are so interesting to look at, the flattening thing, its inspiering. i may get some butterfly plecos when i move over to tropical fish.
I binge watched yours and Clint's vids before getting my first BP a few years ago. As a fellow Canadian (from Markham, live in Brooklin now) it's Amazing to see a local doing so incredibly well. I laughed so loud at your beaver assault interlude. (Geese would have been more accurate tho)
hey Wickens wicked Reptile you don't have a video talking about alligator lizard from california and i do own one wild caught that i caught myself in my back yard a young female alligator lizard

Wow the plated lizard caught me off guard. I've had relatively a great experience with mine. I guess he's kind of squirmy but I used to hold him and get ready in the morning with him and he did NOT care. I may have lucked out with mine or you may have gotten bad luck with yours LMFAO.
I have several Plated Lizards and I think THEY are the underrated animal here. They're very much wild-caught by default so I do think that the problems they have probably can be addressed through captive breeding. Plateds are VERY cool and deserve more credit
I love Australian green tree frogs, they're so chubby and fun. They almost look cartoonish 😅 Really long life span if you take care of them properly too.
Honestly I own a ranch and have 4 buildings in my backyard where my reptile room is and I’m kinda interested in turning one of my storage rooms into a reticulated python enclosure but I might not since it gets kinda expensive
