What a great interview. It never fails to amaze me how down to earth this man with such great talent is. I don't even want to imagine what my life would have been without him. Thank you Graham!
My hero I recall Wembley 1974 I was 21 that day Graham will probable not know but I was on the holy turf having the best and most memorable day of my life Your aunty Betty was so proud as I am You are an inspiration to so many Everyone has their point of view and I have mine Paul
In a recent interview for his photo book, he said the divorce was long and drawn-out and very expensive. Then he showed a nude photo of amy from the book. I hope late wife susan got a lump sum and was able to leave it to the kids.
You're blaming NYC??? No, he told an audience of DEMOCRATS they live in a great country and they didn't applaud. Democrats think America is an evil, racist country. Of course they didn't applaud when he said that.
Agree with the comment below. Graham is the most contemplative, well-spoken of the CSN&Y gang. The interviewer did an exceptional job of of giving Graham a platform to offer insights into an extraordinary life.
I enjoyed listening to his recollections, they were very interesting and entertaining. I thank him for taking the time to do so and for being so forthright. I reckon folks wanting to dog him out for having an ego need to realize that so do we all! And if he's got a big ego well, he's a rock star! LoL. I'm not a rock star, but I partied like one and I have lived my life like I wanted to. There's nothing wrong with that. I cracked up when he cursed! Hahahaha! As for him and Crosby I guess their bromance is over! It happens. And for all those beautiful moments their music made me happy I want to say thank you sooo much!
One of the few instances someone mentioned that Stills played everything on the first album. Wondering exactly where GN thinks he would be without SS. The attitude just astounds.
Me and my father would go into Tads steakhouse for a $1.95 and not only did you get a steak but they gave you a good size baked potato dripping and all the butter you could drip it with and something that was green that you put salad dressing up on it
I was very lucky to interview GRAHAM NASH twice - at the Hollywood GREEK THEATER and at his photo exhibit in Orlando. This 92 Y interview was very special for me Thanks Graham for all your beautiful music ❤
I hope graham lives to at least 97, amy will be 60, I'm betting he'll trade her in for a younger joni look-alike. Second wife susan got dumped in her early 60's, after 36 years of marriage.
She was on the bill but when the huge crowd started to form, CSN discouraged her from attending because she had her first tv appearance scheduled on Dick Cavett and they were not certain she could get out of Woodstock in time.
He loves Joni Mitchell, so eat your heart out new girlfriend! It's hard to live in the shadow of another former flame and that usually fizzles out fast. And Joni Mitchell is a great choice for him, she is a real great artist like he is, money goes where money is.Talent goes where talent is and finally equals go where equals belong. I think that Joni Mitchell and him are back together. They both played Woodstock together, and he quite playfully denies that he's never been to Woodstock. When I have seen so many times the Woodstock movie and CSNY play like at 3:00 am. Joni is there too and she is a brilliant singer/songwriter. He looks great for his age, and I hope he continues to make more great music.
Well it seems like Grand mesh does believe that he is a God and that the people have said so wow and that was supposed to be gray and Nash wow actually that was supposed to be Graham Nash there it is love these new fangled components just loving the future
It's hard to believe in Graham anymore. His soul is saved by "falling in love" with someone young enough to be his grand daughter. He never stopped being a womanizer....so disappointing. If Amy was anywhere near his age he wouldn't have given her the time of day and she is wasting her beautiful youth on an fairly unattractive 74 year old.
+Orvonton11: While in principal I agree with you, I also try and take the point of view that I don't know what happens behind closed doors. People can put up a good facade, but be dead inside. Maybe he was. Who knows? But I find it incredibly pompous for anyone to decide to act as judge and jury as to who they are when not knowing his situation.
+stevedrums I'm going by what things he said in his book and in interviews. He's a womanizer and that is degenerate and inconguent with his beautiful music. So part of the situation I am aware of is from his own words. I don't believe in him anymore. He is one big facade. Now I see it, finally. Thank you Graham
I went to his show this past week. The light is gone. It was like he was going through the motions. It's fine with me; everyone has their own way of thinking and living, but I'm not going to bother buying the new CD. The past is over, time to move on.
Hymn7&, you leave Graham and Amy alone! Graham and Amy are happy together and that's what matters! LEAVE THEM ALONE! If he wants to be with Amy, then let him be with her!! I am friends with this couple and I love them dearly! Don't EVER say a negative comment or remark about their love EVER again! They belong together! That is all I have to say. You should be ashamed of yourself! The light is NOT gone and Graham is NOT a womanizer or a facade!!! If you don't want to be a fan anymore, then so be it! That is all I have to say. (runs back to Graham)
our sharing same birthday (feb 2 - groundhog day) aside, think i like his personality BEST of all csny members... (had trouble getting through david crosby interview last night -in which his "i'm pretty clever, eh?" EGO dominated!!)
Graham......Neil Young would be a welcome change for many people that are Canadian however. Canada doesn’t have a President we’re the same as the U.K, currently governed by a Prime Minister! The other thing is, Neil Young doesn’t live in Canada anymore, he’s much like you’re self residing outside of England living in the U.S.
I REALLY CANT IMAGINE WHY HE THINKS HE HAS MUCH IMPORTANCE ANY AS I SEE THERES ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF COMMENTS ON HIM = I JUST SAYING = FOR A GUY THAT HAD A CAREER LIKE HIS ITS KINDA SAD TO SEE THE. = UN - INTREST IN HIM = TIME TO LEARN HOW TO BOW OUT WITH SOME GRACE AND RESPECT = THAT YOU ONCE HAD = TIME IS FLICKERING AND YOUR NOT PAYING ATTENTION ... GOD BLESS MR.
If this old clown ever says something new in one of his interviews ARMAGEDDON!!!!!!!Tell us who's house was it where this great meeting of minds took place, And so modest''.......
Reminds me of Interview with the Vampire. Dumps the wife, fractures the family, hooks up with a waif half his age. The waif seems minimally talented imho, but bears a striking physical resemblance to uber talent Joni who broke his heart. Dumped ex-wife Suzie married Michael Ontkean of Slap Shot fame, she died 4 years after getting dumped.
This isn't graham's first rodeo with a much-younger amy. In 1975, his close friend amy gossage was killed by her drug-addicted brother. She had just turned 19, she and Graham had been close friends for 2 yrs. I wonder if graham has ever seen a shrink.
Nash is a legend in his own mind. His contributions to music is WAY over rated. His voice is even more irritating than Stills' and the only member of the band that is still viable is Crosby, the one member he won't talk to.
Graham Nash is a bigger legend in his mind than he is in ours, alas. I liked CSN stuff at the time and, quite naturally, we never thought then what it would be like to be old. Like kids everywhere, we simply could not imagine it. It strikes me that getting old is very like smoking a pipe of tobacco - some tobaccos get sweeter towards the end, some get bitter. Nash seems to me - in spite of his 'insightful' songs - to have acquired a monstrous ego. There is a recognized psychiatric condition called the Messianic Complex from which, to some degree, this bitter old man appears to suffer. He is, at this terminal stage of life, so far up his own arse he can smell daylight... that's sad and negates much of his early work. He should have quit when he was ahead.
He talks about his songwriting like he's one of the greats...as far as I'm aware, he hasn't written a hit since Teach Your Children, and that was FIFTY years ago! 😆😆😆
Now, glad to be back onto a normal video, don't understand how fart videos could get stuck with my graham nash/hollies videos. That's insulting to this guy, he's such a great english gentleman. He doesn't fart like all the rest of the gross slobs on here posting themselves in meeting hurling wind and laughing about how disgusting they know they are.
Graham Nash is extremely self absorbed. scared to Death of dying, which he is very bothered to have to go through. Seeing himself above that stuff. Nash is a very unsympathetic old man. Bitter at times. The Young woman he is dating is ONLY in it for a little fun time With this has-been With a little cash. Nash left his wife who he said was the best thing in life as little as 3 years ago. I really don`t get the fuss around Nash. He is no Neil Young, but I did buy his New album even though the sleeve Picture sucks there are 3 great tracks. The rest filler. He only loves the Picture because the New lady took it.
C'mon, we all love the new album cover because the new chick took the picture. Graham is a good man, talented guy. Was a part of two successful bands. It's crazy how he's opening up to the media about everything, it's gotta kinda suck at that age to be moving and shaking like that.
He is a self absorbed old man. I hate the sleeve on the New album, but the songs are surprisingly good. He opens up and lets us in on his fear of dying and need to be happy the rest of his fucking life. Hasn`t he been happy enough? He left his old hag for a Young slut. Now that is another cliche` move just like Neil Young leaving his old woman. All in the name of younger skin.
What is all this about breathing and relaxing? I was born 44 years ago. I have been through plenty of books on the subject of relaxation therapy, breathing techniques etc. Get over trying to Balance my actions to Your liking. I am who I am and comment sections on youtube are for stating ones opinions.
And he's damned lucky. Check out to see who WAS ALL the music on the first 'couch' album and MOST of DV. I wonder where GN gets the nerve to have that attitude.
Thanks Graham for bringing magic into our lives with your timeless music.
What a great interview. It never fails to amaze me how down to earth this man with such great talent is. I don't even want to imagine what my life would have been without him. Thank you Graham!

Pure genius!
Love Graham. Wonder what he would say now, in 2022, concerning the freedom to speak your mind back in the 60’s and now.
It would have been amusing if he'd got a round of warm applause during the pause after his statement "I've been married for 38 years." 6.40
😂 HaHa, not sure of the timing but wife got dumped around 2015 or 2016, died in 2020.
In a recent interview for his photo book, he said the divorce was long and drawn-out and very expensive. Then he showed a nude photo of amy from the book. I hope late wife susan got a lump sum and was able to leave it to the kids.

3:00 - This is WHY Graham doesn't think much of NYC! He tells the audience what a great country they live in, and there is SILENCE!
You're blaming NYC??? No, he told an audience of DEMOCRATS they live in a great country and they didn't applaud. Democrats think America is an evil, racist country. Of course they didn't applaud when he said that.
He seems like a very nice, gentlemanly sort of person.
Don't be a Republican around him. He's a limousine Libtard who froths at the mouth if you disagree with his politics.

Such a cute memory for you. I'm veggie, I went there with a carnivorous boyfriend lots of times, gave him my steak, got half of his baked potato. ☺🥔🥩

Guess it helps being British, but Graham is such an articulate gentleman and reputed to be a kind person.
Graham Nash is such an inspiration to me I have never met him but I so wish I could.
Just wonderful, insightful interview. Bravó interviewer, interviewee.

Joni Mitchell was NOT at Woodstock..
She was on the bill but when the huge crowd started to form, CSN discouraged her from attending because she had her first tv appearance scheduled on Dick Cavett and they were not certain she could get out of Woodstock in time.
She was supposed To be, but she strayed in NYC to film a TV appearance instead.
The amazing thing is that Joni Mitchell wrote Woodstock, captured the magical spirit of the benefit, & yet wasn’t even there.
According to Michael lang joni was not invited and she had a dick cavett appearance
Nash is great...JUST ASK HIM.

Mitchell was not at the festival. Get Your shit straight.
Leave Graham and Amy ALONE!!
Global Criminologist "Woodstock" the event was actually held in Bethel N.Y. as he says in this interview
Joni had a stroke several yrs ago and was not at woodstock. Ill stop there bc I think something is wrong w u
